I wish both CF and SF would jump on the junior invert ride, be it with B&M. Fixed it for you.

I think for 2018 we'll see a major renovation of that back part of Candy Apple Grove and Winterfest in addition to RMC Hurler.

Someday I think they should get a B&M Junior Invert. I think it would be the piece de resistance to Planet Snoopy.

Or it could be that the existing "lift" will be used as an airtime hill. We still don't know the relative layout.

Turns out they were correct Now it turns out DILinator was correct. In hindsight it's hilarious (and a sigh of relief) to look back at the hoopla from August and how mad we were that RMC Hurler wasn't announced.

Are you sure? Someone said it's not because it's too narrow. I could be wrong though.

1. This was merely a passholder event. The "tragedy" of August 20 was an actual announcement. 2. I really like the new Planet Snoopy additions, Battle for KD, and the new Coke station. The updated dining sounds intriguing too. In other words 2017 isn't a complete loss. 3. The fact that RMC Hurler is starting this early could mean that this is a pretty large project. I think I'd rather get a giant plot of land than that.

It's for the general public. Cedar Fair does this with every coaster.

In that case I'm guessing the wall goes up fairly soon with a teaser.

Huh? I thought RMC Mean Streak was pretty far along in its renovation; Hurler's reno just started (feel free to correct/roast me if I'm misinformed). The only way that this could be the first would be if it were first to open with an August/September opening, similar to Volcano, which is very unlikely but possible since this is a small ride. We'll see if they address what qualifies as "Really More Coming" tomorrow evening - hopefully that includes a 2017 Iron Hurler opening. Otherwise, we'll be left with an elephant in the Jukebox Diner vicinity for another year. There's a reason they're going cheap this year; one the families need their fix and two money needs to be saved for the 2018 RMC. RMC Hurler will open before RMC Mean Streak (barring any delays) so it technically will be Cedar Fair's first RMC.

Virginia is really becoming a premier state for roller coasters, especially with this and RMC Hurler next year. I've always wondered why not many put it up there with Ohio, Pennsylvania, and California.

Technically this will be Cedar Fair's first ever RMC.

Does anyone know what's inside the shed yet? If not any guesses? (I say it's a drop track a la Verbolten).

While I don't take Screamscape as Gospel, I guess we know why now the event was switched to Magic Mountain. Like with RMC Mean Streak, I'm team KBF2018 Yeah sorry but Screamscape is merely a fanboy site and does not generate actual news. Cedar Fair has a yearly budget. They cannot spend whatever money they want. The two RMCs are going to take most of that budget, leaving the rest for a flat ride or two, some events, and park upgrades. For 2018 I can see KBF getting a new flat ride and maybe their own version of Winterfest but a new coaster, let alone a large B&M, is just not possible with not one but two others coming in the chain. Not only that but the land occupied by Boomerang and its surroundings is a very poor place to put a coaster. It's better to wait for other land to clear to put in a nice ride. Have you seen Knott's skyline? They're masters at fitting things in. And for all we know RMC Mean Streak/Hurler might have come from the 2017 budget or split between 2016/2017/2018. Although I'm not 100% certain, I dont think they'd be in a rush to remove Boomerang in April for flat ride Tell that to Canada's Wonderland who has cleared so much space a couple years ago yet Ziz still hasn't come (although I believe it will come eventually).

I highly doubt a hyper or giga is coming anytime soon for this park. Cedar Fair has their hands tied with two RMCs next year, a major hyper for CGA (which being in the same state hardens the blow for the hopes for KBF), Ziz for CW, and money being poured into Carowinds and CGA. I can see maybe a new thrill ride complex in Boomerang's spot and its surroundings, but Knott's will likely have to wait awhile for that big new coaster. Which is a shame, because I really think you all deserve one.

Is there any decent way to ride Anaconda? I mean I know it's insanely rough but what is the best seat to ride it in based off experience? I rode it twice in the middle rows and both times it was one step below Advil.

When do you think the wood is being taken off the track on Hurler? With an RMC truck already there it can't be far off.

Is it time for Magnum to get new trains? I really like the layout and airtime points but the restraints make it seem painful going up hills. Give B&M a call possibly?

A launched flying coaster sounds painful. Thank god we're getting an RMC instead. Although I would love to see a Zamperla launched flyer someday to see the reactions!

Is this ride supposed to be bigger than Cobra's Curse? I hope so especially with a year of hype.
