You have obviously never been on Thunderhead. The track gos right through the station above your haed! It looks like it enters from a turn like Thunderhead and leave going down giving a pop of air like Thunderhead. It tooks like Troy and Thunderhead are related. Those beautiful GCI seats so comfortable!

Looks like a really fun ride.

I love Millenium Flyer trains so comfertable i could sit in one all day. Also i love how MF train restraints fall down and you can pull them up about 4-5 inches and imagin the air you are about to recieve. Thats how thy are on Thunderhead for me atleast.

To bad ill never get to ride this. I love the trains!

I've ridden 3 of those Mystery Mine Griffon and Renegade. I say Renegade because since I rode Thunderhead I've had a fascination with woodies! Edit: And Firehawk as X-Flight

I still dont like what it looks like. When i download that rides the first thing to change!

My first roller coaster Kraken scared me to death. My brother had to drag me on it and i was freaking out the whole lift and half way down the drop I started to love it. Thats were my love of roller coasters started on kraken. Also on Mystery Mine going up the vertical lifts kind of scared me the first time.

It would be an accomplishment if it surpassed Thunderhead. By the looks of it I think it will or be pretty close! The thing Thunderhead has is the setting and the terrain.

Does anyone have or know of a good onride video or proffesionallly mounted video of Thunderhead at Dollywood? Do any of you have some good pictures of Thunderhead? I love this ride and i don't have any good pictures of it.

I'm pretty sure thats a turn, since when do turns have airtime? -Justin "Sexy? Yes! Airtime? No!" Seabaugh Its pretty obvious you haven't been on Thunderhead at Dollywood. Thats when air was brought into turns!

I think it will be hard to top Thunderhead. Everything is just right on it.

It dosnt look as good as Thunderhead. Looks alot shorter. I just dont see the air that Thunderhead has! It doesn't look like you get air in so many unexpected places like the tops of turns and it doesn't look very twisted other than the first drop. I think Thunderhead looks like a better coaster. But I wont know until i ride Renegade.

I went to Dollywood yesterday knowing crowds would be pretty bad. They weren't horrible but not to enjoyable. We first went to Timber Canyon. Some of my group decided to ride Timber Tower i didn't because i'm not big on spinning and i didn't want to get wet. While they waited the rest of our group went to Thunderhead. The line was about 20-25 minutes. We got two rides on Thunderhead while they rode Timber Tower once. We went to see how long Mystery Mines wait was. It was 3 hours! No way is Mystery Mine worth that! Then we headed down toward the rest of the park. We had some little kids in our group so we rode some rides in Country Fair. After that it was getting hot outside so we went to the 50's show. We were all hungery so we at the BBQ place in Craftmens Valley. After we at we went and rode Blazing Fury. That rides always fun. We rode it twice since the line went down. I went and rode Tennessee Tornado. It was running ok alittle bumpy like always. After that we went back to Timber Canyon. Once we got there i rode Thunderhead 5 times with a 15 minute wait. I was sad i didn't get my 100th ride. So close only 7 more times but i have season passes so ill go back in the middle of the week sometime when its dead.Then we went back to Mystery Mine because nobody in my group had ridden it. by about 6:30 it was 45 minutes so we waited. Tis getting a little bumpy on the outside turns. Thats not good for a month and a half old coaster! Lets hope it doesn't get worse! They have added stuff to it since opening. I was talking to an ride op and he said they're planning to add stuff and take away things and replace theming so theirs something new to notice each time. I thought that was pretty cool. I had a good time just a little to crowded but not umbearable.

I got shy 100th ride on Thunderhead at Dollywood yesterday.

Has anyone seen what those water jets they were talking about?

It was jealous Maverick was getting all the attention!

Do you think it will be less than Satruday and Monday? Parks seem a little less crowded on Sundays than Saterdays.
