We were supposed to go to SFMM on Saturday for Amanda's B-day but somebody **cough**Wally**cough** flaked and isn't coming down this weekend. So, instead of wasting a whole Saturday at SFMM I decided I would take Amanda for a few hours today. My day started with me not getting off of work until 1:30am, so I wasn't sure if I would be up to it. Woke up at 8am and figured, what the hell. Left the house about 8:30 and got to SFMM about 9:30. They actually opened the gates at 9:50, pretty cool. Walked up and got our free Fastlanes. Xtreme PlayPass rulz!! First stop, Viper. Well, Amanda isn't quite up to 54" yet, she's got a little bit to go. But, by the end of the summer she will be there. Instead we opted for Revolution. 1 train operation, 2 train wait for the front. Okay ride. Next, up the hill. Ninja was closed (SHOCKER) so it was over to Superman. Nobody in the station, AT ALL. We proceeded to get 5 straight rides in the front row without getting up. We could have gotten more, but 5 was enough. Being as there was only 6 people on the car (Us 2 and 4 behind us) we were getting pretty high up the tower. A couple of times it seemed we were only 10 or 15 feet from the brakes. Good rides!!! Down the backside, and got 2 rides on JetStream. Over to Colossus, walked on even though they were pulling a "Knott's" ... One train empty, one train full. We then hit the Round Up, too hot for a spinning ride. Needed a Frozen Lemonade after this. After our freshen-up we hit up Goliath with our Fastlanes. The ride-op didn't know what we were there for and we ended up waiting like 15 minutes just to get in the line. Duh!!! Good ride. At this point it was about 11:45, we decided to take off, head to Jimmy Deans for lunch and then home. For only 2 hours in the park we got ALOT done. Probably more than we would have all day on Saturday. With that, I'm done with SFMM for awhile. 2 weeks straight is enough.

^ That was my thought as well. Is it time for Rush to come back out on tour yet??? -
Screw the Giants. We actually really wanted to go to an Angels game (a team that can actually win a few games) but they were gone this past weekend. Plus it's kinda far to the "Big A". (I refuse to call it that other name) Back to the day, thanks for all of the nice comments. I didn't get around to re-sizing the rest of the pics, maybe tomorrow.

http://www.timesheraldonline.com/ci_2837318 I don't know why a kid who works at Six Flags thought he was smart enough to fool anybody. Then again, $10 to park is ridiculous, maybe they had it coming. Here is the story:

http://www.bobbysbrane.com/animation%20fun/animation-fun.html And you thought the Soarin' RCT3 thing was good. This is totally amazing, even if you aren't a Rush fan, you will enjoy it.

Awesome TR's Derek. Looks like you had a great Solo weekend. Hope to get out to Branson soon. Looks like it would be a good place for the kids as well. -
No More BEVERLY?!?!
Sir Clinksalot replied to Sir Clinksalot's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yeah, hop over to the video contest page, click on "Shut Up and Smile,' and decide for yourself how much I like Beverly. Even though it is about as tasty as drinking soda water out of a bum's bum, it was still one of those "things you have to do" while you're at Epcot. Even if the theming didn't match, I still thought Ice Station Cool was a nicely done area even if Disney never really bothered to call any attention to it on the park maps (then again, why would you want to point out a place where liquid products are free?). I hope Club Cool maintains the freebies, but I'm not holding my breath. And as bad as Bev may be, the nastiest thing I've ever had was some lukewarm Malt Goya. I would have killed for some Beverly to wash that foul taste out of my mouth. -

I really enjoyed your TR's! It looked like you had loads of fun. Wish I could've been there Sören, does Michael Schumacher come from Bavaria? I've only seen him in his Ferrari suit! I'm a big Schumi fan and can't imagine him wearing lederhosen! -
Never been. I don't live anywhere near one! What's the most disgusting thing you've ever drank/eaten? (Mine is milk. Milk is evil )

I was over at (another park site - ain't getting free advertising from me) and I saw a picture of a partially demolished Ice Station Cool. What the hell? I hadn't heard a peep about Ice Station Cool being on the chopping block. Am I going to have to start going to World of Coke in Atlanta to get my fill of that delicious Italian treat? Anyone know the official line on this? Is it getting replaced by a churro stand? What gives? EDIT - I'm a moron who apparently missed hitting certain of my regular sites last week (I was tired, I guess). I dunno how this one slipped under my radar, as Beverly is a park tradition. No more, I guess. I guess they must have figured out that no one was buying cokes anymore; they were just going to Ice Station Cool and filling up their water bottles with Beverly.

Texas Wood advice
Sir Clinksalot replied to davidmorton's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Ride Rattler at SFFT in the front ONLY!! When we went last year, Rattler in the front was a top 10 coaster, held my #1 spot for awhile. Back row it was crap. SFOT - TX Giant go for the front as well. Judge Roy Scream is a fun coaster, not very big so I don't think it matters. SFAW - I didn't ride the woodie here but I think the back gives some sick air. -
