Rarely is a movie so good that it deserves it's own topic, but this one is. This movie is great, from start to finish. And, I almost hate to say it, surpasses the original movie. A movie that could have only been done by Tim Burton, starring Johnny Depp. The movie follows the book ALOT more than the original movie, which is a good thing IMO. The movie though, is quite aptly named "Charlie" and the Chocolate Factory, because, after all, the movie is about Charlie, and his experience in the chocolate factory. Unlike the original, the time leading up to entering the factory and the relationship between Charlie and his family is the heart of the movie, as it was in the book. In the end Charlie helps Willy more than Willy helps Charlie. I'm not going to say the original sucks now, but everything I didn't like about the original has been done better. I never liked how Charlie was just "the last kid" and therefore got the factory. That was never the intention of the book. I also always found the first 30 minutes of the original to be rather boring. This is not the case this time around. The visuals in the factory itself are without doubt mesmerizing. The Oompa Loompas, all played by Deep Roy, steal every scene they are in. The musical numbers this time around are absolutely hilarious. But again, the "Moral" of the story is there, maybe even moreso than the original. In conclusion, I can't recommend this movie enough. It's a kid's movie, but as we have come to expect from Tim Burton, twisted enough for the adults. I have to say, this is probably one of Tim Burton's most twisted. We also saw a trailer for "Corpse Bride" ... Can't wait!!!

Just got off the phone with Jim: He said their were at least 10,000 people at DCA lining up this morning. The line started at the Golden Gate Bridge. Went through HPB all the way through the parade route and around Paradise Pier. Past Screamin', Boomer, MM and then through the SF district. When they got there at 4:45 they got in line near Grizzly. He said the line ended up back at the Golden Gate Bridge. I spoke with him at 9:30 and there were at least 50,000 people in the park already. He did mention they were playing some cool video stuff on the screens they have all around the park.

Yeah there seems to be a glitch when there is a path directly underneath the lip of a waterfall. It seems to suck people from the path randomly. It's quite amusing seeing the peeps and the park inspector drowning (although peeps can't die in RCT3), but it's annoying having to fish them out yourself as they can't get out of normal water themselves (they can pools obviously ) I haven't tried using the new underwater path to work around it, if that doesn't work I'll have to rethink the layout a little. Glad you like it so far! There will definitely be a waterpark now, and more water pretty much everywhere, going for the whole tropical island vibe. Thanks for the comments so far !

The "Say Something Random" ThreadSir Clinksalot replied to robbalvey's topic in Random, Random, Random I gotta go to my mother's house and cook dinner today. She just had an operation and can't do it and my dad is at work. It's like 300 degrees outside and I'd rather be here playing RCT3.

WOW!!!!!!!!! Someone who isn't my boyfriend thinks it looks good! YAY! Thankyou Maynard and Bicoastal for posting your comments, I really appreciate them! I'm gonna carry on with this today. I guess I'm going to be using more pools and slides and maybe linking up with the original pool. Don't know for sure yet. Depends what mood I'm in at the time! lol Thanks again.

Your park is coming along fine, your rides are looking good and well themed. Just keep it up. Here are some more pics of Mystic Falls. First up is the carpark at night. Here is a shot of the tunnel at night. I've noticed a wierd glitch, if someone is walking along the path, they can get "sucked" off the path. I need to experiment to see how I can fix that. This is the rear exit of the tunnel through the falls. The same place at night. This is the path leading to the PARK entrance. The same path at night. I'll be starting work on the first coaster next...

Update (17/08/05): Had to remove the coaster video (at least for now) as it was eating up my sites bandwith, it has been downloaded 284 times using up nearly 2Gb of bandwith. Thanks for all the interest guys !!! ------- As Bocakey has decided to post piccies of her park as she makes it, I've decided I will too. My park is called Mystic Falls and as you'd imagine it will have a fair few waterfalls. Depending on how the main park expands it will most likely have a waterpark as well. Here are a few pics to start this off. A shot showing the car park area pointing towards the entrance. A shot showing the view from the entrance. A view from the tunnel running under the waterfall. Looking out from the tunnel towards the carpark. The view when you leave the tunnel. Overview of what is built so far.

I didn't mind Soaked's Career Mode, I thought that the scenarios were pretty neat, and were good for inspiration. The addition of Challenges during a scenario was cool too. The only complaint I had with it was it was too short, more scenarios are always welcome. I hope they have more in Wild! (or whatever it ends up being called) than in Soaked!
