The thing I noticed about Green Lantern is that it takes a lot of time to get people seated. Some try to sit... that was fun to watch - others legs completely bent. It is definitely one of the slower loading coasters. Bizarro was cycling very quick and efficiently when I was there 6/10/12. I seem to have picked a great day for going compared to last weekend. Whew!

Went to Great Adventure Sunday - and it was an awesome day. Except that Nitro apparently went down after our first (walk on, minus the delay that is) awesome ride in the last row, so we did not get to do our last ride of the day on it. It was having problems all day. Some friends of mine got stuck and had to be exited from the train...she wasn't clear on the where. Anyone know what the issue was? There was a delay, and they ran four or five trains around before I could board. They kept looking at something on the tracks right next to the train shed. I thought it may be a brake issue. I rode anyway. I love when people leave the line b/c of issues. They don't realize this happens more often than not. I'd rather them check and be safe than let us on and forget about being safe. Crowds were minimal! The parking lot was pretty empty. I am assuming b/c of the Puerto Rican parade in NYC?? We took our time and rode what we wanted. El Toro - amazing as always. Superman, practically no line - which is rare these days. Green lantern had two trains out, and was into only the first switchbacks. Medusa, eh hem - Bizarro - was walk on. So was Skull Mountain. Got to ride KK, with only a one train wait, running one side. Very exciting since there is always a zillion hour wait for it. There was a rattle, but the coolness of the ride far surpassed the two seconds of roughness. I did not get thrown around like some are saying. I was in the second car, front (3rd row). And no Skyscreamer for me - at least not yet. That thing rattles my bones. Even though the heat was a little annoying at times, It was a good day. Lots of fun, lots of color. Great day.

Legoland California Discussion Thread

It is $15 with my job discount, $20 on its own. With that difference, I will just get the regular park tix, and then if the need arises, we can just hop on over. Perfect answer - Thanks! -
Legoland California Discussion Thread
Lenaapple1974 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I am planning a trip this June/July to SoCal, and we want to visit Legoland. Now I am wondering if I should be getting a hopper ticket to the Sea Life Aquarium - is it worth it? Will we be able to complete both in a day? I am flying blind here, never have been to a Legoland before! We are filling our days up with parks - SWSD, DL, DCA, KBF, USH, SFMM and LGL, so there will be no opportunity for a second day pass. So, basically I need to know from those of you who have been to both - worth it or not? Thanks for the help! P.S. We are not doing the water park. I feel it is geared to young kids, and mine are 17 & 19. -

*** THE BEBES *** Rainbow Magicland ITALY TR
Lenaapple1974 replied to The Bebes's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
All I have to say is - freaking amazing! I haven't had much time to check out long running TRs lately - so I am way behind with everyone's reports...KBF is what made me come here since I am checking out everything in all the SoCal parks for my son. He is a bigger wuss than I was not so long ago - so this trip will hopefully bring out the coaster lover in him! Your animations showed him it is way cooler than just looking at a plain picture! Thanks for posting! -
Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread

What about Nitro? One of the best I have been on, for sure. Or Maverick, Kumba, Montu, Sheikra, Manta, Tatsu, etc. Lots of greats with one name. I am sure the list goes on for both scenarios. -
Wow. I guess you do get what you pay for. I feel bad for the people that paid for the $1000 per person rooms. The only way I will ever go on a Klassy ship like this is if I were with a bunch of people like you guys. I love taking photos, so I would no doubt have fun making fun of everything as well. I applaud you all for tempting the fates and reporting back. Loved all the updates, and while I haven't gotten through all of the video, the stuff I have seen so far is Klassic! I am very thankful too, that my first cruising experience will be on the Dream at the end of August - officially booked on Monday! And - I must say, while my husband does not usually partake in forums, I had him hooked on your thread. I think what got him was the, um...chili. lol. Edit: I just realized that I rely on TPR for many reviews of things, and do come here first before checking other places out for many things! Thank you for being so awesome!!! :O)

Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread

SOOOOO EXCITED! This ride is definitely a great addition to HP! Everyone got the 200 footer they wanted, and they threw in winged seats. Pretty awesome! I wasn't planning on going to Hershey next year, but now I have to somehow fit it in! OH MY. 2012 seems to be a great year for the new stuff. -

That was craptastic! -
Whew! Finally caught up. Gorgeous, gorgeous sunrise! WOW. That sure makes up for the crappy weather leaving port! On Facebook, I am always looking for people to post pictures. I am always posting myself. I usually get disappointed with the exception of the few people who don't use mainly cell phones, OH, and all of Robb's Iphone 4 pics... those are really good too - because they are all pixelated, ISO too high... I feel like a freak. lol. But I come to your pics here...and many others that post here - and am immediately satisfied! Not only are we all coaster lovers, but we all seemed to have taken on photography in one way or another too! My dream site! I am sad this TR is almost at an end. Hopefully many more pictures to come! AND..I hope that you have found your missing card too...and can post those at the end!

Photo TR: Disney Snob Does Cedar Point
Lenaapple1974 replied to jenseib's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Thanks. I was trying to pan along with the ride to get the ride, but blur in the background. I thought I did a pretty decent try at it. Great TR - as always! The purpose of panning is to make the background blurry and the moving subject not blurry - and you have an excellent, excellent - EXCELLENT I TELL YA - example of it! I have tried with my 7D, (not too hard) and just have not accomplished it like that! >:O I am starting to miss my D90. I feel like I suck with it. I know I shouldn't say that... so hopefully time will fix this. Now that I finally got to the end of what you have posted here, I am back off to try and finish the Dream thread. I got so busy, I couldn't keep up! I didn't see the next post email either. I must have deleted it somewhere along the line. I am so far behind! LOL. It is a continuous reminder that I need to get back to my trip reports too... I still haven't caught up! I now go to Florida in three weeks. Ut ohs! lol -
That is so funny the couple behind you asked that, because the first thing that popped into my head was... what settings and what lens. I immediately checked that you shot at f/7.1 & 1/2000. (I have this pet peeve...I have to know how pics I like are shot, lol) What lens were you using. Fantab!! Being I just switched to Canon, I finally got to use my 7D this past weekend. I only have the kit lens, (18-135 f/3.5), a 60mm 2.8 macro and an 85 1.8. My goal is to get the 70-200 2.8L II, and a better walk around lens to replace the kit lens. (probably the 24-70 2.8L) The show looks awesome! I just have to say that you are making me drool over the Dream, and I am sure there are many that would agree! Thank you for posting the in depth pictures and descriptions!

I am also not too fond of the name. It doesn't roll of the tongue so easy for me. Some of the others that came and went as possibilities were definitely better. I do however like that Verbolten means forbidden. That could translate into some awesome scenery/theme ideas. They could go anywhere with it!
