  1. When CP fans complain about a 200+ foot dive machine...
  2. Almost all of your concerns are because this isn't the final rendering (saying this for the third time I think). Those images were ripped from the code of the VR app which leaked. Since it is made for phones, it is way less detailed (ie: no catwalks, chain, brakes, etc.) so that it can run smoothly on a phone. The color thing is because the renders are taken from code, and they're just 3d models found within the code.
  3. RMC Hurler/Grizzly would be pretty close. Do you really think there's any chance of that happening? Possibly. You shouldn't. Honestly, this thread right now is pretty painful to read. I know, we all want a new coaster at KD very very badly. The reality is, the next coaster will probably come in 2017 and it will be a B&M of some sort. That's even if we get one in 2017. KD has a really solid lineup already, and is quickly becoming CF's most aesthetically pleasing, family friendly parks.
  4. Anyone who has ever seen one of your posts knows you're impossible to please unless its an Intamin or RMC. You add nothing to discussions and all you do is bash other coasters for not being I305. Personally, the layout looks great. That zero g roll + helix looks really fun. I hope I can ride next year!
  5. ^This, I couldn't have said it better myself. It would be the equivalent of trying to play NL2 (except even better graphics) in simulation mode on your phone, and then expecting your phone to perform well. It just wouldn't. With the lower detail model, most phones will be able to play this VR (which I'm super stoked about trying for myself) at good framerates.
  6. The logo looks real, but the coaster rendering doesn't look anything like what the guy who normally does them would look like. This needs to be cleared up These renders were taken from the code of the VR app, not a render that is supposed to be released to the public. Therefore, these aren't the quality or detail of what we will see on media day. That's why we don't see catwalks, chain, brakes, etc.
  7. Sorry for the double post. This is important. I downloaded the .apk file for Cedar Point's VR app. I then decompiled it and looked at all files inside. Unfortunately there are no pictures of the animation that are viewable to your average user (and frankly, I have no idea how to go into the code to view the 3d render). This is the important part. I went into a random file called "mainData" because well, it said main so I assumed the bulk of code would be there. Well it opens in notepad and there's all those random characters that no one understands with a few words scattered about. I almost quit there, but I decided, "Hey, what if the word Valravn is in here somewhere!?". I did Ctrl+F, searched the word Valravn. Sure enough Valravn came up highlighted next. If that doesn't already confirm that at least the name is indeed valravn, I don't know what does! Why would they stick the word Valravn in coding files for an app if it was just a fake? They wouldn't. Also, I noticed the word fastest to the left of the word Valravn. Edit: Ah, more conclusive evidence has been posted on the last page as I was typing. All the doubters, you have no reason to expect anything else now.
  8. Downloading the .apk file right now of the CP VR app. (Its the installer file for apps on android). Will see if I can try this.
  9. A: They aren't using this as a professional promotional off ride flyaround. They're trying Virtual Reality. B: Seems like a pretty good "fake" to me then C: All dive machines are short, and this is the longest one by far. How do you know how long it should be? You don't. D: How would it make the original leak false? The only thing that this proves wrong about the memo is 4 inversions. Also, the VR app screenshots don't give us a full idea of the entire layout, so there could definitely be another inversion there somewhere. Being knowledgeable about some graphic design, These logos, backgrounds, and custom google cardboard prints are too well done to be by some amateur leak artist. My vote: this is definitely real.
  10. What you're telling me is I got all 3 Inversions correct AND in the correct order on my POV/Concept!? I must be a wizard!!!!
  11. Says the guy who told everyone that we were getting a new coaster because of an artists mistake in a KD website banner, then said it was your grand discovery and anyone else talking about it must credit you.
  12. That track is most definitely dive track after seeing that picture, seriously. That is massive. When are we expecting announcements?
  13. LOL, seeing as Cannibal was built by lagoon (in-house!!!!!), I doubt it
  14. If its Hershey's Intamins you have come for (which is what most enthusiasts come for) you will not be disappointed! That's what I'm going for on the 14th/15th! I checked the app and Skyrush is closed right now. Does anyone know why?
  15. Fixed. I have yet to visit a park with better operations than Cedar Point. Even on slow days, every coaster (minus Wicked Twister obviously) runs at least two trains. It's clear that the park prides itself in getting the line moving as fast as possible. As far as American regional corporate parks go I would agree that Cedar Point has the best operations out there. Sure parks like Knoebels still put them to shame, but they also have far less ridiculous safety devices / scans and checks to contend with. You're shitting, right? There's a difference between being efficient and bitchy. Last time I was on GateKeeper, one of the ride ops was running up and down the station, taking everyone's stuff, just tossing it into the bins, and practically shoving people into the seats. And if you didn't teleport to the seat and magically do your restraint instantly, you would get some dirty-ass look as she slammed the restraint down and shoved the seatbelt into the lock. Yup, I'm sure every op at Cedar Point is like this...
  16. Just curious, where in the world did we hear from a decent source they wanted 8 across seating? That seems illogical, I'd assume they would want as much capacity as they can get.
  17. Surprised the train made it back to the station. Seems like it would have been wedged to far in for the wheels to turn. The momentum of that gigantic train probably just obliterated the parts of the bird that were in the way of smooth wheel motion. Multi-tonned Train full of 32 people vs a 20 pound bird. No contest.
  18. The logo in question that we are referring to here is the one in the thumbnail, correct? Edit: It isn't a hoax if I'm not deliberately trying to trick people into thinking its real. The title reads "Concept", those who mistake it for real are either illiterate or just don't care enough to look at the description and/or title. Double Edit: I don't know why you guys are that concerned, hundreds of other videos use CP's logo in their thumbnail. That being said, as a precaution, I'm changing the logo to a text with a similar font and warping it to be in the shape of the logo. Easy fix.
  19. It would also need... more trash cans!
  20. On Fury 325, the treble clef turnaround in the far left had crazy amounts of sideways air. I can't imagine what it would be like on a 10 seat wide train sitting in the far left. I was definitely dreaming when I put that in the layout... #FingersCrossed
  21. Duly noted! This is my first coaster with Nolimits 2 and I was really just trying to capture the layout. I made it in about 2 days spread around doing AP summer assignments, so I wasn't nitpicking through things like that, but thanks for the cool info! Also, I believe the station only has feeder wheels, so the only problem now is the MCBR!
  22. Thanks! As long as I'm not using the video to get money (ads/monetization) it is fine to use any logo or copyrighted material as long as credit is given. The more you know!
  23. VALRAVN POV and Trailer!!! [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] Let me know what you think, if you like it, please share it! Also, this is my first coaster in NL2, so please don't criticize me too much for track irregularities and such!
  24. Agreed, I gray out on it half the time! Backlog is such a fun little coaster. It has gotten somewhat rattly now.
  25. If I'm being honest, I've never been to cedar point and only know the very basics of park layout. When I was creating this, I wasn't really thinking of where things would go compared other coasters. It was more of, "CP is building the worlds tallest dive coaster, what could that look like and what elements would it have? Let's try to build it!". So really I have no idea how this would be situated in the bulldozed field.
