Pokemon GO at Theme Parks!
Cj1990 replied to Peeps28's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Has anyone played at cedar point? I looked at it on Pokevision and it looks pretty terrible for playing Pokemon go. I'm just hoping I'm wrong. -
I'm not sure if it has been mentioned yet, but if there was a way to utilize data from different sources and then find the median number of all the info, that could be helpful maybe? If that makes any sense? Lol. It does in my head.

Have to agree with the people hoping and believing that it'll be an RMC. I actually feel like the people wanting another company haven't experienced an RMC yet. The ones I rode have literally been some of my top coasters. They are so much fun, smooth, fast, and tons of airtime! Lol -

I keep thinking how cool it would be to do a carsland recreation with those new textures. -

I am going to recommend the same thing. You will need to budget in FastLane+. Just buy the admission and FL+ combo tickets for $115 each. It offers a bit of savings vs buying separately. I agree to hit Maverick first. I can tell you I like it both in the front and the back. Because of how it is designed you're going to get awesome airtime in any seat. Views from the front are just awesome though. And again I have to agree, wait until later in the day for Valravn. After Maverick maybe head up to hit Raptor, Gatekeeper, and Rogarou. Rogarou is worth a ride. In my opinion it is much better than when you stood up. Still not an amazing coaster but it is a fun one to experience. You could then hit TTD. With FL+ you typically only wait from the ramp up into the station. I've never had to wait that long in FL for dragster. It's worth waiting for front row. Something I like to do with Dragster is; if you see it's not open yet but maybe they are running tests, I've stood and waited at the entrance until it's opened. I think the longest I ever stood there was a half hour, but when the line opened, we were one of the first through the FL+ entrance and had virtually no wait and went for front row. That could be worth it. Really depends on what you deem to be worth it or not. It's just something I have done that's worked out in our favor a few times. Granted, we go often and can afford to waste some time. So keep that in mind. By this time, I would say, go ahead and head over to Valravn. It should be afternoon by now. The line will still be long. But won't be as bad as early in the day. The line moves fast. Their operations have been very good every time I have visited and they take a lot of people from the FL+ queue each train. A couple fun rides to do if you have the time and desire are maXair and Pipe Scream. I hope this helped. have a great time! Oh! And get familiar with the map a little bit of you can. It's nice to be able to just walk around and not have to wonder what way to go or to know where everything is in relation to your current location. The CP app is also a great tool. It does help show you where you are in the park, you can mark the location of your car in the parking lot(super helpful) and it shows wait times, though not very accurate, it gives some idea of what things are looking like. -

So, I wanted to share my first experience at KD. I was in DC for a family reunion and the last day everyone was off doing their own things so my boyfriend and I ended up heading to KD for a couple hours in the morning. We got there for early entry. The options were Crypt and Volcano. We don't like top spins, so it was straight to Golcano. Unfortunately Volcano was delayed... until after 12 lol. So we did head to i305 and it happened to be open early so we jumped on that. We ended up breaking down on the break run for about 15 minutes. We loved intimidator. So much so, my boyfriend turns to me and goes, "Millenium Force can take a lesson from that!" I couldn't help but agree. I just felt like i305 fit my preference for a coaster more closely than MF does. So after that, we went to stunt coaster. I liked it at Kings Island so I figured I'd like it here. After that we hit Anacondo. I expected pain and that's exactly what we got lol. It was fun... just did what a Vekoma does best lol. By this time we wanted a rest and water it was so hot out. So we went over to Volcano and just waited for it to open. We were the first ones there and waited for a good half hour for it to open. When they finally opened the queue, we went straight for front row and got first train of the day. I did enjoy Volcano. Not as much as I thought, but it's a ride I would like to do again in the future. We decided it was time to go and hit Dominator on the way out. I really liked it! It was so smooth and had some cool elements that I'd never experienced on a floorless coaster before. All in all it was a really beautiful park and had some fun rides. i305 is definitely a top coaster for me now and was absolutely our highlight of the day! Thanks again guys for the recommendations. You all helped make our first trip better! -

Volcano has been delayed for opening all day so far. We rode the other rides we wanted to ride and now just waiting for it to open. Then to Dominator and back to our reunion in DC lol. We will be sure to do front. Thanks all! -

I appreciate the feedback on which rides to hit. We made it here and are just waiting for 10 to roll around so that we can hit early entry. I guess it's Volcano and The Crypt today. Best rows to make sure we ride today on the coasters? I've been dying to ride i305 for ever. -

Because I think another steel coaster with a near-90 degree drop is not what the park needs? Because I think the roller coaster capital of the world should have at least one good wood coaster? Because I've seen what GCI can do with Ghostrider? Because building 2 new coasters in the same state could hurt the other park's return on investment? Though GCI is good. Still, maintenance costs with them will be higher than they'd be with RMC. Really don't see how it would pull return on investment away from other parks. A near 90 degree drop wouldn't be the focal point or the selling point. Also, define good? I think majority rules here based on the traffic that Mean Streak sees. None lol. No one rides it. Even though it's a more comfortable ride, how many people are riding it in a day on average compared to literally ALL of the other coasters. The GP typically seem to enjoy steel coasters more. I just see them making a smarter decision which would be RMC compared to GCI. -

It actually surprised me reading some of the comments that anyone could have anything negative to say about RMC being the ones to do the update on Mean Streak. I think, like most people, it's a good possibility but maybe too early to tell. Screamscape I've also seen go both ways. From my experience it's good to just read things as they are posted and not get excited until there's a real announcement or legitimate proof. With everything I've seen RMC do and the coasters I've ridden that they've got their hands on, I'm a huge fan. Great airtime, well paced, and major improvements. Iron rattler quickly became one of my favorite coasters after riding it. I guess what I'm saying is that I'm definitely on board with the possibility of RMC Mean Streak. Like mentioned above, they seem like the best choice for return on investment IMO. -

So these are just a few pictures I wanted to personally share with you guys from a game I have just been slowly plugging away at. I'm playing in sandbox so really just been having fun with the game. Definitely would love feedback. Also, is anyone else having the same issue where the preset flat rides seem to have the most popularity? You can see the kiddie Ferris Wheel in one of my pictures that the line is insane. It is always like this with any of the flats. Meanwhile my coaster queues never have a wait lol. Let me know what yall think! My attempt at a flying coaster Another angle of flyer attempt at a pirate theme kids area close up of pretzel loop finally accomplished! Flyer at night -

I'm really looking forward to being able to run multiple trains. Something I'm excited to test out is Disney-like ride operations. With the number of guests we can see in our parks, being that they do come in realistic numbers, high capacity rides could end up being beneficial. Also curious, has there been any word on dual loading stations? Either side by side or one in front of the other(maverick/TTD)? -

It really is a lot easier to smooth things out. I think that the simulator part of it needs to be smoothed out a bit more. They are on the right path right now so I have no doubts these things will get worked out. I am still waiting to be able to make custom inversions. I don't really care for the in game ones much. -
