  1. The Minneapolis flight (KLM 5165) is delayed and hasn't taken off yet...
  2. ^I thought Atlanta too (Due to takeoff time and elapsed flight time), but the only flight from TPA to ATL is still in the air...
  3. They actually wanted me to take my sunglasses off until I showed them I had a strap on it. They are very clear about "No Loose Articles"...and for a good reason! ^^^^^Very good, descriptive review. Even after experiencing Toro a TON this past weekend, I am still very excited for the possibility of getting out to HW later this year to try out Voyage.
  4. El Toro IS open! I got a ride in the front row! (Pictures taken after the public opening around 2pm today) The airtime is just hella crazy insane. The ops have been instructed to MEGA Staple EVERY rider because of it. The ejector air is so intense, I've never felt anything close! (Not even SROS) After the biggest pop of Ejector Air EVER on the passover of RT, the twister section FLIES through the first half and then slows down for the pull into the brakes. This thing is insane. Seriously.
  5. ^Unfortunatly, until the left side of RT opens, there is no "legal" way to take pics of the Twister Section. You can see it very well from GASM, RT and the Parachutes, but "No Cameras Allowed"...
  6. Yes that's my Camera Phone Pic from this morning. 5 hours later, it finally ran! I got to spend an hour talking with Ron Severt, GM of GAdv and Coastin' Steve as we waited for it to finally test! Also, LOVE the Video! I will have the High Quality pics up on GAdv later on. (Whenever Smugmug gets their server act together today!)
  7. I haven't had a problem with my Contacts on rides, except for KK's first row. The sheer amount of wind up there is insane! I'm sure the same would apply to any launcher in the front row... My eyes were watering like crazy and I swore they were going to fly out!
  8. A few more pics from Sunday... Not much changing now that they are working on the Twister section that is not visible from pretty much anywhere. Tracking should have been completed yesterday. The Trains were still in the parking lot on Sunday. The rest of my pics are here.
  9. Chiller:Batman is in a "Soft Opening" state. The park expects to have it open full-time by June.
  10. Well, this is just fabulous...again! Obviously we have no clue what really happened, but the Catch Car or Cable both seem like likely suspects. Right now it is just a waiting game... I hope it reopens open soon.
  11. A TON of bents are up in the infied. You can see them from KK's queue. This thing should be testing in a couple weeks!
  12. I don't know how true it is, but I remember hearing that Computers actually said "Superman" on it for the first few seasons.
  13. ^Premier Parks is the previous owner of Six Flags, the one who put the plans for Kingda Ka and El Toro in motion. The new owners have publicly said they will not be adding any more "Goliaths" for a while...
  14. Flyin' Phil posted a new update yesterday: http://www.flyinphilsphotos.com/amuse/nj/sfga/eltc-bbnpc/2006-04-20/album0 This think just looks amazing from the air. Looks like all that is left for construction is the twister portion inside of Rolling Thunder.
  15. The latest information has been that they are shooting for a Memorial Day weekend opening. Some "Inisders" are saying early June...
  16. I had an old-school Sony DSC-S50 and I loved it until it got stolen. I then got the Canon A70 and HATE it. It's slow, clunky and heavy. That has really turned off for my liking of Canon. I recently bought a Sony DSC-H1 and I am SO happy I am back with Sony. I also have a Casio Exilim S3, that thing is about the size of the one Robb posted and that is my "carry to the park" camera. The canon is small, but nearly as small as the tiny ones. The only problem with the Sony above is the 2x Optical Zoom. But for point & shoot it will do just fine! Small Size + Sony = get the one Robb posted!
  17. We have our first on the way! (Due July 5th!) We would like to have two, maybe three! We'll see how the first one goes!
