Well we know when media day is now, Real question is are coaster groups allowed to go to the event or would i consider working media day

Quick question guys. So im planning (or trying to plan) a birthday weekend trip to St. Louis. Friday would be driving to St. Louis and going to a Reds/Cardinals game (Go Reds!), Saturday would be a full day at the park and Sunday would be spent heading back to Ohio. What are some good places to stay, rides to hit and rides to not even think about riding, good places to eat at the park and best places for souvenirs at a good value.

I am clearly an idiot. I just think the park wont run more than the carousel and the train and MAYBE boo blasters. If im not mistaken isn't that what all as ran during the old winterfests?

Fixed that for you. The park has already said that the train and carousel will be open. Im pretty sure Cedar Fair and Kings Island care about their rides Unlike a certain chain called six flags.

We'll have to wait for media day (that is if coaster groups can go) or opening day to find out. I honestly hope it's not a let down. Does anyone else say that these pictures are taken from a drone? They where removed from KICentral and they said "It looks to be shot from a drone".....

Ah okay. Seems reasonable. That's what we consider "sending people". I know when rides are low at KI the supervisors will post in the area group about open shifts up for grabs and all that fun jazz. I know i worked with a guy from Maverick who came down and was working at DBack and he said its a lot different down here than it is up there.

Since some people are on the topic of working at the point I have a question. are you guys able to pick up shifts at other rides or get cross trained? I know at KI we can pick up shifts and get cross trained sometimes.

When I went in October last year we rode second row and boy was it fun. We where their on a sunday and i twas a three hour drive so we did Millennium, Raptor, Gatekeeper as our last rides and then left. (All in the front seat)

I remember my first trip to Cedar Point in 2012. Cold, Rainy and I only rode Mean Streak, Blue Streak, Corkscrew and that was it. I didn't "feel" like waiting in an hour line (I was severely stupid at the time lmao) for Millennium, but when i went back in 2014 i made sure to ride every coaster and boy I was impressed with Millennium even though i rode in the very last seat. To this day It's not my number one but it's in my Top 5

I thnk ths whole Mean Streak stuff has made us forget one thing............. Point Plummit has gone vertical and it looks like the construction team are working hard on this beautiful Ohio day! Credit @JasonMcClure on Twitter

Was at the park for a returner party on Saturday and I couldn't help but be more than grateful to welcome (along with many other associates) the new GM! (photo credit to Kings Island on instagram). Also you can clearly see that Mystic Timbers has changed the skyline ever so slightly! (Pictures where not takin by driver. I was in the passenger seat. Congrats! Im sure you'll be sent to Timbers sometime (maybe) and I'll try to come back to Banshee and get trained again! On a side note a certain attraction got a small minor refurbishment...................Now if only we could as for some new paint. @KingsIslandPR on Twitter

So it looks like that Kings Dominion announced at the "Ace Warm Up Event" that was held at Six Flags Over Georgia, that they are adding the same type of mobile game that Cedar Point added last year for guests to enjoy while they are off rides!
