i know a guy real high up in Darien lakes management that told me that Darien lake has already put in the order for the train for next year ^^ The Screamscape thing is PR babble, probably just talking about this year.

Nope. Last year, they closed in September, at 7:00, with no Halloween event. They used to have frightfest. They are closing early with nothing again this year That's too bad. Is it because a lot of the business comes from the campground and there is not much camping in the fall? Unpredictable weather. Could snow, could be 80. I went on the last operating day for 2015 (Sept 27) and it was mid 70's, but I think the day before was rainy and 50's.

From the campground there is nothing of note visible in the maintenance/Galaxy Theater area. From the looks of it, Twister is having hydraulic issues with the restraint system if I were to guess. Coasterkid may have a better guess.

Twister has a lift behind it, but no one was using it today that I saw. There are still missing restraints and it looked like the metal bars on the remainder were rusting.

I saw Twister being tested last summer so its been moved, just not opened.

Any early season waterpark closures are usually due to staffing.

Corn Popper was down at one point, might have been rotating. Campground had some sod laid down and trailers shifted around. By no means does it look like their done with all the sprucing up.

No new paint on any coasters btw.

From the campground toll gate, ROS's first hill (or the stairs) looked painted... but too far away to tell for sure.

I will be camping there next weekend. I drove by last week and Mind Eraser was not painted.

Drove by the park today, for those wondering Mind Eraser hasnt been touched yet that I could see.

Pretty sure its been mentioned before that a second new train would come next year. Whether or not its been ordered... doesnt really matter. What will be interesting to see is if the second train is a different color because i doubt they paint a one year old train, meaning any re-theme likely involves blue. I was hoping for silver and black.
