Would you like to add a source to that. Because since 2012 they always went for the last thursday of August 30th of August 2012: Six Flags 2013 announcements. 19th of August 2013: Six Flags 2014 announcements. 28th of August 2014: Six Flags 2015 announcements. So I was guessing they would did the 2016 announcements on 27th of August. But hen again if you have a Source that would bring a other light on it. Doesnt he work at the park? Im sure HWHFAN can clear it up. Eventually

As much as everybody wants a new steel hyper, I'm hoping for an RMC similar to Goliath, but hopefully a bit longer. If RMC Boss ain't happening, I'd like SOMETHING from them, and a brand-new woodie would be awesome. If we were to get an RMC and it wasn't the boss, I am sure it would be an I-Box, making it a hybrid not a woody. Definitely not a topper track, as we don't need 4 woodies.

SF has done a good job hiding what they are going to be adding. Considering that we just received a huge attraction, I would not be surprised if SFSTL installed a flat ride. If there WAS something big, we would have seen items leading to its development, i.e. survey markers, old ride closings, teasers on social media, etc. It was 1 year ago today that SFSTL announced the closing of Scooby Doo. So they could still announce a closing of a ride. Other six flags parks have already announced rides that are going to close at some of their facilities. If STL was going to announce a closure, it would have already happened, or be announced in a week or two. Besides Tidal Wave(we don't even know when they plan to close this) I don't see a lot of other rides that need/should be closed. Any I am missing?

What is your favorite launch coaster?

Mr. Freeze or Powder Keg -
I have had the honor of riding THE BOSS, which was made by CCI. Although it is rough now, like other CCI's, it is still one of my favorite woodies. Yes, you run the risk of totally breaking your legs and other bones, but its just such a good coaster I almost don't care. The intensity it carries is unreal. I wish every other coaster in the world could have that. And one thing about CCI is that it definitely lead to further innovations in the wooden coaster, and Theme Park Industry as a whole. You cannot question that. What I am trying to say is that CCI made people happy, it made them want to ride coasters again and again. The Company is LEGEND-...WAIT FOR IT...-DARY.

I went to WOF earlier this year in late may. Lets just say thay could use a new coaster. Honestly, I dont know if I would want to go back otherwise. With mamba being the huge coaster of the park, it was kinda dissapointing that after 3-4 rides on it I felt like I never needed to ride it again. Will say though that Patriot is amazing. Other than that the park was ok, so much potential too.

SO, I am totally against an ibox of eagle. The money that they would spend on it would definitely be needed for other aspects of the park. Whether it be towards ride upkeep or a new ride altogether; a ride like some new flats or a floor-less that I think would be more useful to the park than an ibox. Also, I am curios about what people think the best new ride is: JLBFM or Thunderbird. I get they are two totally different experiences, but I am just curious to what the forum thinks.

The last new Coaster in your Count

Mamba at Worlds of Fun. Drop wasn't the best and helix hurt after a couple times through. Mediocre at best. -
2 or 3 huge additions in the next five years? Are you serious? We'd be lucky to get 1 or 2 LARGE additions in the next five years. I would consider JL a Large addition. The only addition for this park I would consider HUGE is a big steel monster. I still think too many of our rides are near the end of their life cycle to expect a new area to open. Tidal Wave will be gone soon, Ninja, I think will be gone soon. The Log Flume seems to need some major re-vamping soon. Excalibur seems to be very tempermental, not saying that it will be gone, but many more problems and I think it could be on the chopping block. S:TOP, although newer to us has never seemed to be fully functional in the five years I've been attending the park. Just thinking all these are more likely to be replaced before a "new area" is opened up. The only way I can see a new area opening up is if it starts with a Huge coaster for one year and then add in 3-4 small carnival type flats in the following years. I think more likely next years addition would be a water coaster in the current paintball area. Has anyone ever noticed the paved path near Big Kahuna continues another 30-40 feet past the entrance to nothing. Seems like this would be an area easier to expand. Also finally rode Thunder River on my last visit, noticed the patched up water fall area near the end of the ride. If they were trying to use a local tie in by calling it the Bagnall Water Works or whatever it was, do they realize Bagnall was spelled wrong? It's Bagnell Dam at the Lake of the Ozarks. Anyway I'm going to miss all the previews for JL and hope to get to the park at opening on Friday to give it a whirl. JLBFM and a Steel Floorless are two rides. Thanks for agreeing with me.

No way! If we get one of those Loopers I will get violently ill. One of those things comes every May with the traveling carnival at the South County Mall. People can Ride it there. It will be interesting to see attendance figures between Holiday World (Thunderbird) and SFSTL (JL) next year at this time. Ok. Face it. You may not like it but Six Flags does. People that have reviewed it have said that they liked it and were suprised. Its nothing to SCREAM about, but Six Flags could use another flat ride or two.

Guys... A Topper Track revival of the Boss isnt exactly, "Reasonable". That still costs a lot of money. Especially after plopping down 10 Million+ for JLBFM. For them to do that the next year is a long stretch. With Six Flags being a Chain, you can assume that many rides are going to be cloned into their parks. Look at the thunder rivers, skyscreamers, and super loopers for example Thus, Im gonna go with a super looper, like Bourbon Street Fireball, for the next season. And maybe another small flat ride, like how Harley Quinns Spinsanity was included with the addition of the Joker Super Looper at SFOG. Hopefully that ride would be a Flying scooter by Larson Int. I noticed we dont have a family/semi thrill ride like them(That last bit is a stretch too, as no other Six Flag Park has them I believe). Then, For 2017, they could go with the removal of Tidal wave, and possibly introduce a different water ride like it. Especially with Dave saying they were going to expand that part of the park, a bigger-footprint water ride could be in the works. If not, could they remove TW and the same year do the Topper track Boss? Just a thought really. 2018, the Year that could be Legendary. Gonna go with a Floorless B&M. We need one(or so we have convinced ourselves). You all know it. This is an extremely realistic year to hope for it. In 2017, they open the top part on the right side of the park, then in 2018, you open the lower bit with the floorless and connect the paths, put in some food and drink and call it a new themed area. Bam. Ehh? Im not going to guess any further. Why? 1: Im to lazy. 2: In august, they could announce something crazy and totally screw everything up. So lets stop here for now. When you look at their five year plan, you have to realize your are only going to get 2 or maybe 3 HUGE additions, like a coaster or huge dark ride. Especially for SFSTL being one of the parks that they dont seem to care for the most, 2 big rides seems like a safe bet. Lets face it, Six Flags is not just going to throw money at our park, and add a 15 Million Dollar+ Ride every year. We arent magic mountain guys. Thanks,
