  1. Haven't been out to the park in a couple weeks, and I'm hoping some things have been changed. I plan to do a mini TR afterwards. On a side note, to those who attend Coaster Mayhem, it is still undecided, and the PR guy told me they should know by Monday.
  2. I agree. It's getting sad. I got the all season dining plan this year, and every time I get food, there's always a story to be told afterwards.
  3. Last night there were some interesting things that happened at the park... Skipping to about 9:30, we had just gotten off of Steelhawk and we were going to get on Timberwolf before fireworks but we were greeted by a wall of employees blocking off the area by the bathrooms across from the trashy shirt place. We tried to go around to the other side to get on Timberwolf but an officer told us to go back the direction we came. We had asked him what happened and he said "can't tell you, go home" which I thought was an interesting statement to tell guests. Then I found a supervisor I knew and he told me they were trying to keep crowds moving, which yes that is understandable, but still, I was questionable about what had happened. I was hoping nothing bad happened on Timberwolf since they had that area shut off. We did a lap around the park instead and talked to an employee working Viking Voyager. He had said they closed that area off because of fireworks drifting in that area, and there was nothing to worry about, however in a matter of 10 mins before the fireworks, they area had reopened.... Strange.... So I was left questionable the whole night. I found out the answer to my question recently. I saw on the news a fight had broken out also in the same spot a fight happened a couple years ago. Luckily the EMT's and Security responded to it. If you want to see the whole article, I'll leave a link http://fox4kc.com/2016/07/05/teen-charged-with-resisting-arrest-assault-on-officers-after-fight-at-worlds-of-fun/ With the increased security measures being taken at not only Worlds of fun but other Cedar Fair parks, I saw many things I don't normally see. I saw a couple people being removed from the park in cuffs which I don't usually see. I'm glad they are stepping up their security, especially on the OOF side due to recent incidents. Steelhawk got stuck again! It seems like this is an almost everyday incident for the park. Also something else I saw while leaving the park, (WOF Avenue was closed, so we had to leave out OOF lot) I saw a bus parked in the toll booth area, however I later found out it wasn't parked... The bus had collided with the toll booth, almost completely tearing the roof of the tole building off! Over all, it was a pretty fun night setting aside the incidents. I would say something WOF needs to work on now is food employee's knowledge and behavior. This guy working the pizza place at Oceans was cursing and I'm pretty sure he pocketed the cash on the order in front of us. A few visits ago the guy working didn't know what a Platinum pass was or the all season dining plan.... Anyways, thats my little rant... I forgot to mention fireworks were really good! Probably one of the better displays I've seen before.
  4. Today a lifeguard working the Diamondhead told us that they were going to tear Diamondhead down. It didn't sound convincing enough, but with them not running the middle slide all season, you would at least think it would just be that one replaced. I would really hate to see these slides go, considering they just replaced the fiberglass as well a couple years ago. We will have to see though. It seems like whenever a ride grows on me, the park ends up taking it out....
  5. Haven't you heard from your inside sources what it's going to be??
  6. Is it because the name hadn't already been taken by someone else? Look son, no one cares what you think you may know. That crap doesn't fly here on TPR.
  7. The markings in Africa is likely because of their water violation. It's next to the creek that got them in trouble. I haven't noticed that terrible smell this year yet.
  8. If we were to see one of the two, I would say Eurofighter but I do not believe this is what the park is looking into adding, or at least for 2017/2018. I would really love to see either a custom Premier launch coaster where the Orient Express used to be. If not that, I would love to see a small B&M floor less coaster like Hydra go there. I know this isn't necessarily what they've been looking into adding, but just a thought. As for 2017 I see a dark ride in Bicentinnial square along with the Condor put where Thunderhawk used to be. I think a decent height ride back there along with a new dark ride could bring people back there. As for the Troika I can see it being placed by Steelhawk in the Reelers old spot. The markers in Americana might be used for some sort of revamp of that area because in the past couple years they've been improving it (train robbery, Vittle Grittle repaint, jail, Saloon, etc.)
  9. Did anyone else see the new Saloon located next to the Jail? Could we be seeing something like Ghost Town at Knotts coming where the markers are? Just a thought.
  10. Oh sorry. My times on TPR are all screwed up. I thought you meant 8:00 p.m.
  11. First time back on this thread in a month and this is what I come back to. I love TPR Hahahahaha
  12. Does anyone know if Boomerang is back open yet?
  13. A building for a dark ride doesn't have to be huge. Voyage to the Iron Reef is a prime example.
  14. Does anyone have any recent pictures of the new flats for next year? I've searched all over the Internet trying to find any, but no luck. I saw some a couple weeks ago, but they've since been deleted. Thanks
  15. Did anyone else see the object in the back of the Oceans of Fun parking lot? I couldn't get any pictures, but it almost looked like a purple ufo. I have no clue what it could go to.
  16. For me, I pretty much learned how to do it yesterday. It's really not that hard.
  17. From what I saw, some of the bunny hops, the final brake run, station to the lift, and the lower part of the helix. It looks really good. I had a really fun time on the WoodStock Gliders too. I was able to snap it very easy, probably due to the higher winds. You can check it out here
  18. Can you check out Thunderhawks old site?
  19. When the director of operations was asked how many coasters were at the park, he only said six. You'd think someone who has been working there for over twenty years would know how many coasters are at the park. I'm not necessarily saying Boomerang is on its way out, but more of just an observation to keep in mind. Plus they just replaced the panel on the ride too. I'm sure they just ran out of time or they are still waiting for parts. Only part of the train was in the parking lot, so the others might already be on, or somewhere else..
  20. http://www.kshb.com/news/local-news/planet-snoopy-brings-new-rides-to-worlds-of-fun Not too much to see here but they did mention they have been riding Timberwolf, so with that being said, I bet it will be open this weekend.
  21. I picked up some maps today while processing my pass. Since they hadn't uploaded a map yet I wanted to inform the readers of some news. Thunderhawk is completely gone and there are some new shows coming.
  22. Link: http://www.kmbc.com/news Good one! You got me....
