Darn it, I have to miss Opening Day again next year. The other thing that bothers me is why they wait until mid-May to open. If VF can stay open until early November, then they should at least be able to open in mid-April. I feel your pain, a lot of people I assume will have to miss it because of work and school. I wonder why they open on a Friday instead of a Saturday? And I agree, I really wish the park would open in mid-April, then it would be open for my birthday.

Opening Day has been posted, it's Friday May 15th.

I went Friday (Halloween night) and it was definitely emptier than I expected. It was definitely bittersweet to say goodbye to the season, I'm not gonna lie, I definitely shed a few tears as I left.

Well, I went to Haunt last night, and despite it being MEA weekend the lines weren't that bad! London Terror definitely won the "best maze of the night" in my opinion, I had some of the most intense scares I have ever had at ValleyScare in there last night. It's crazy knowing there's only 2 weekends left of Haunt, time flies.

^^^ That makes a lot of sense then. I did Skeleton Key with my younger cousin but I don't think I could've done it alone, even though I ended up solving everything. And If you ever wanna know what you missed in the other rooms, feel free to PM me and I'd be happy to tell you! And I would have to say those are my favorites too. And I get what you mean about trying to make friends with guests. Heck, I can't even really do it and I am a teen.

Hey everyone, I'll sum it up really quickly on how it went! So it started off pretty slow for me and I wasn't finding a good technique, but I eventually found a great hiding spot and a great technique that REALLY worked for me. It would be easier to just put in a new drainage system. If they can fix the horrible drainage problem of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, I'm pretty damn sure they can fix a Minnesota parking lot. I agree. And the way you worded that made me laugh.

Nice trip report, surprised you didn't use the Skeleton Key more than once... I did it, you missed out on some more disturbing stuff. Which is really funny that I did it, because I'm a huge wuss. What was your favorite maze out of all of them? And I agree, Ritual of Fire and Hacks (the improv show) are both really good shows. I love reading about my homepark, so I'm glad to see you enjoyed it.

So, I'm working at a Haunt for one night only this Saturday, the 11th (If you wanna go to it, it's Dreadwood Haunted Forest in Hudson, Wisconsin!). I'm kind of nervous because I have no prior scaring experience, I'm just a huge Haunt fan. Any tips when it comes to scaring, what to wear, etc.? Thanks in advance!

So, I didn't get to do anything at Haunt last night besides Live shows and Scarezones, because someone in my family ended up getting sick causing us to end early, but I did take a FEW pictures. I'm watching the video right now and I have literally no words to describe this. Interactive Haunts are one thing, but this is just too much.

Hmm.. As much as I love haunt attractions, I don't think you could get me through this. If people are actually getting beaten, is that even legal?

On a side note, if I end up doing a Photo TR for tomorrow (like I plan on doing, because yay, Haunt with my family), where would I post it? I don't know how much I'll end up hitting tomorrow while I'm there, but I can always combine thoughts from this weekend and this past weekend together, if need be (actually, I was planning that, unless it's too confusing to do 2 trips in one review).

The last concert I attended was a free Pentatonix concert at the Mall of America back in February. I got out of school all day for it, got to sit front row, even got to meet them. Sure it was pretty short because it was free, but it was easily one of the greatest days of my life.

I really can't stand when someone tries to look over your shoulder while you're texting or sitting on your phone. No, I don't have anything to hide, but mind your own business. I also can't stand slow walkers, people who think they know everything, and people who constantly trash talk their friends and think they're a "good friend". UGH I deal with these kind of people constantly and it just annoys me. I have this "friend" in the performing arts department here who CONSTANTLY tries to put me down and say I'm not good enough and always has a bad attitude, but then somehow I'M the "bad friend". People can just bother me, LOL

I find myself wondering this almost every single time I'm there... I bet I've ran into quite a few of you without even knowing it. As you said about working there, I've heard the same things you have. Some think it's great, some think it gets tiring, I guess I won't be able to say one of those until I work there. I really want to audition to be in a Live Entertainment show there next season, and if that doesn't work out I might end up working something in the summer (maybe). I for sure want to be a scarer at next year's Haunt as well. I feel like it would be fun to be at the park basically everyday, but I'm sure hot, busy days aren't that fun, plus you don't really get that fun "guest" feeling.

Last time I was at Valleyfair I heard a girl in line for Corkscrew saying "Is this the one that goes upside down?" and her friend actually said "no, the renegade is the one that does". I also heard someone in line for The Wave say "will I get wet on this ride?". Also one time I was in the Fast Lane line because I had a Fast Lane pass and some girl told me "I don't think that's a line" Sometimes I really hope the dumb comments I hear are people kidding, but I don't think they are..

If I head out to Haunt this weekend like I'm planning, should I try to take some pics while I'm there? And post them on my blog and/or here. I don't want to bore you all with pictures, but I would love to and be more than happy to take some photos and upload some if you guys want to see some.

Surprisingly, I usually don't hold on to anything. In fact, up until this year I wouldn't ride big rides because of a prior incident when I was younger (lap bar flew up, no seatbelt) but my first ride on my "big" rides (Wild Thing), arms were up the whole time. Now I'm addicted to thrill rides.

Granted, but they all either get flooded from rain and snow. I wish I could have my own amusement park.
