I don't see the arcade going anywhere soon because it is used as a haunt building but if they were to remove it and combine that land with the former land that tilter sat on it would create potentially a new area for a small coaster. It would of course have to traverse the Minnesota Valley Railway tracks and tunnel but it could be designed to be a really cool themed area! I've heard rumors that it's not being used for Haunt this year, because of that new Haunt building. Or at least Chateau won't be in it this year- I've heard both rumors. But I don't think I see it going anywhere either.

I was there yesterday, didn't get one. But I did get one on the Fourth of July.

Does anyone know what's going on with it? I noticed today that it basically stops for a second three-quarters of the way up to the top and it seems to go awfully slow. It's not both sides, it's just one. Kinda freaky to me.

Apparently a player from the MN Vikings is there today giving out tickets to some people.

^^^ Yeah, did I miss that too? Because if you ride MNRV you can see there's still part of Hellside set up.

I live about 20-25 minutes away, but I have family who lives 5 minutes from Valleyfair that I visit every week (it's a grandparent who needs help), so I'm there fairly often. I've already gone like 12 times this year... I do rides some visits, and other visits I focus on going to see Live E, taking pictures, and/or eating with All-Season Dining.

Not a fantastic day for the park today. I went out at 5:15ish to go see Live E and eat at the park, and i got there to find that the power went out until about 5:45ish. So I didn't get to see all of what I wanted to. Missed The Acafellas because of it and didn't eat until 8ish, but still got to see Ed Alonzo's show (and on a side note, it was absolutely hilarious tonight, even though the 7:00 show didn't start until 7:20 because of the outage). Not VF's fault since other parts of the neighborhood/surrounding area lost power, but huge line at guest services with angry guests. Took a while to get everything going again because of safety inspections, and when I left at 9 some systems were still shut down (computers at restaurants especially). I heard from a friend who works there at at 10:40ish it went out again. I feel bad for the workers today, it was really chaotic. I wonder what caused the outage.

Like I said, my idea is probably a stupid one and is just a dumb speculation. But I wonder why there is a webcam for a Haunt building. When they built the structure for London last year, there wasn't a webcam.

This is probably a really stupid idea, but what if this new Chateau building isn't actually for Chateau and it's for a dark ride or some other non Haunt attraction instead? Just a stupid idea what came in to my mind early this morning... It's probably wrong. But what's the point of a new Chateau? Is there a reason Hi-Test won't be used anymore? Or could Hi-Test be leaving soon?

I did it last year! I found it quite enjoyable. They'll give you a flashlight (or you can go without it, which I did) and you get smores. Since I'm a lover of Haunt but can easily be terrified, I decided I wouldn't use a flashlight and it was really creepy, but really fun. That experience was scarier for me than Dinoslaughter was because my friends kept trying to scare me and we started seeing lightening in the distance. But I say try it once if you want to, I enjoyed it! It really gave the Dino's a different feel, and I think I preferred it "After Dark".

^^ Ahh, that actually really excites me- Chateau is probably my favorite maze at Haunt! Hopefully that means it's returning. Is it bad I'm already looking forward to Haunt..? Because I am. If that is true, does that mean the Hi-Test Arcade will be demolished for something new?

Speaking of Ripcord, what's going on? Has it been open at all this season? When I was there last Friday and Saturday it was closed both days.

If anyone cares, I uploaded some pics I took this weekend to my blog. I should have a review of opening day and run and ride sometime this week.

I'm so glad it's finally here! I'll be there tomorrow after school and Saturday morning as well. I'm looking forward to seeing the park again and being able to take lots of pictures for my blog. I'm also excited for Run and Ride on Saturday. Basically I'm really excited for the season even though I got a peek on Sunday. I think it's gonna be a good one!!

Good to hear that you enjoyed the preview day. I'll be at the park on Saturday, and it can't come fast enough. Did you notice any new changes in the park that we weren't already aware of? A really random thing I noticed was the Midway Stage now has a little gate for performers to come out, otherwise I didn't notice anything we weren't expecting, but I didn't see all of the park!

The passholder preview was great- i just did a quick review on my blog if anyone is interested. Can't wait for opening weekend, the wait is almost over!!
