Nowhere in the article you linked does it state that the injury was from a shot fired into the sky. -

Hershey's FastTrack is not worth it. It only gives you front of the line access once for each ride included in the pass. You also can't choose the seat you ride in. -

I ended up riding Laff Trakk about 4:00pm or so. -

I'm going Thursday as well. Although many people on here may tell you to head straight to Laff Trakk, personally I'm bringing a friend who's never been before so I've decided to hit Fahrenheit first as usual because it's a more exciting "starter ride". Then we'll book it to Laff Trakk from there. I figure since the vast, vast majority of people start the park in the area closer to the entrance and then gradually make their way from there, we'll still be ahead of the crowds this way. Here's hoping I'm right because I sure as hell don't want to wait an hour for an indoor spinning coaster. I made the mistake of not hitting Laff Trakk early in the day when I went this past Wednesday. When I finally got in line, it was at least an hour wait, if not longer. -
When I went a couple weekends ago, the front row was the only row I rode in. When it comes to hyper-coasters, I only ever ride in the front row. So you've never done Nitro in the back row? It's like an entirely different ride imo. I have taken a couple rides in the back of Nitro just to see what it's like, but I much prefer the front. I prefer having airtime as I crest the hills.

I just got back from my first ever visit to Hersheypark. I rode all of the coasters except the kiddie coaster. The longest line I had was on Laff Trak. It was at least an hour wait. Comet was very smooth for an old wooden coaster. Hershey needs to teach Dorney how to take care of old wooden coasters. Wildcat was rough, but not painfully so. Both sides of Lightning Racer were awesome. I found SooperDooperLooper to be fun, but not all that forceful. Great Bear was amazing in the back row on the left side. Trailblazer was actually quite fun and nowhere near as rough as Runaway Mine Train at SFGAdv. Skyrush was just amazing. Sidewinder was your typical Vekoma Shuttle which always scare the crap out of me during the second half. Fahrenheit was forceful and fun. Stormrunner was fun, but the restraints hurt my shoulders. I actually like Hershey's Wild Mouse better than Dorney's because the cars are bigger and I don't feel so cramped. In my opinion, Laff Trak doesn't spin as much as it should. A spinning coaster should be like Pandemonium at SFNE. All in all I had a good day. I just wish the park was closer so I could go more often. -

Actually, Skyrush is at Hersheypark. Sky Rocket is at Kennywood. -

A lot of Dunkin' Donuts have multi-use coupons you can grab. They offer $14 off visits in May, June, and September; $10 off visits in July; and $8 off visits in August. I used one of those to buy my ticket for tomorrow. They work at the gate and online.
