Yeah, those Fast Lane lines are something else. Going up the line at Maverick to the station, looking at the people waiting at least an hour. It's almost like a walk of shame because you're parallel with everyone else.
Vortex at Kings Island needs one. I'm 6'3" and could just barely close the OTSR. It wasn't comfortable either. Mantis and Magnum at Cedar Point were awful too for a tall person.
For rides like The Beast, I put my arms down for those tunnels. They look awful tight and I'd bet I could touch the top if I tried. I'm not risking it.
Especially when most of them have been good, reliable, popular rides for years. The loopers I assume would be the first to go but at the same time, they seem to garner decent lines most days. It's not uncommon to see Vortex's line stretch past its queue at KI. How does Anaconda do?
Heads up to Gold Pass holders who are looking to renew for next year. If you renew tomorrow, Kings Island has promised bonuses including a free Fast Lane Plus pass good on a Sunday for the rest of this season and more. Sounds like a sweet deal to me.
Invertigo at Kings Island made me pretty sick after just one ride. I also have to be careful with Banshee and space out my rides more than I'd like because it's so disorienting that it could make me sick if I'm not careful.
Haven't had issues with any other rides.
I rode Magnum for the first time yesterday. Being 6'4", it was an absolutely horrible experience on those last bunny hills. No fun at all.
Though my worst experience was on Mantis. The restraint wasn't locked on me properly so it pinched my crotch all the way through the ride and I felt like I had gotten the worst of a fight afterwards with my entire right side in pain for a half an hour.
Corkscrew and Mean Streak I heard were bad for beating you up but I had no issues on them. Cedar Creek's lap bar design killed my thighs too because of the short girls in front of me slamming the bar down as hard as they could. Maverick was a little jarring on my shoulders but nothing compared to Magnum or Mantis.
