  1. Yes official, no on type. So it's also official it will be running 2 trains? Sorry also a little behind on this thread. Doug mentioned that there will be one train this year and another one added in 2017. To answer ThrillSeeker4552's question, Doug also mentioned that they will be like the trains on Bizarro/Superman-The Ride at SFNE (But will most likely lack the on ride audio part). Thanks! Looking forward to 2 train ops in the not too distant future

  3. I don't know how crowds will be as the only time I was there was the week after Forth of July this year. I can say though that it was not crowded in the theme park at all during that time. The waterpark on the otherhand was packed (as I assume it always is.) I assume that the second week of June should be fine. I recommend Baymont Inn and Suites in Dale Indiana. Very good hotel
  4. Sounds awesome! I hope that they announce the lighting package and any other possible theme elements and also a rendering of what the station will look like soon.
  5. I'd love to know what kind of lighting package they are 0 planning on using on the ride
  6. You must be new to this thread... More like "you must be new to the Internet".
  7. The chances aren't as great as they were a few years ago, but what other choice does the park have? If they go for a full GCI retrack, there's a good chance it wouldn't do anything for the ride. This isn't like Ghost Rider, where it once was a smooth ride. Predator has been rough since a little after it opened. I don't see the park scrapping it and building a new coaster there when RMC could save most of the structure. Remember that Lake Monster was Herschend's concept, and they are gone now. Nobody quite knows what Premier's long term intentions are yet, but something needs to happen soon. The new trains have helped the ride, but it has been 10 years since the last major retrack, and the park has been holding off with any major repairs. I really believe that RMC is the ride's only hope if the park is going to keep Predator (meaning not tearing it down, just redoing it). Yea I forgot that was all Herschends idea... I hope premier looks to RMC for that ride because they could surely make it one hell of a ride
  8. Anybody here think that the park might still RMC predator?
  9. In other news the park posted the schedule of events for coasterstock. No date for when tickets go on sale or the price of said tickets. https://www.visitkingsisland.com/events/things-to-do/events-and-promotions/Coasterstock
  10. Maybe they wanted to put a flat ride in but maybe waited a bit too long thus they are putting in the soccer thing as a filler until a year or two from now when they can get things worked out in a more timely manner to put in a flat ride.
  11. Um yay? I'd rather have funnel cakes.
  12. ^If this slide concept is the same as the mat slide that was recently installed at Six Flags Great Adventure's Hurricane Harbor it is a great ride. None of the back destroying or roughness found on the body slide versions.
  13. I will start a search party for the boat when I go to the Winter Chill Out #boatlivesmatter
  14. I pridefully admit I am a Cedar Point fan boy but I am insanely excited for Valravn. It will be an awesome ride that brings the park plenty of visitors. I want other CP fanboys to realize how lucky we are to get the coasters we get no matter how awesome they are or not. While you guys are sitting there complaining about this and that about Valravn, guys over at Dorney or VF are just hoping they get a legit new coaster in the next 10 years. Take the ride for it is and shut up. Rant over, carry on.
  15. They are horrible. Beat the crap out of your back
  16. I don't mean to sound like I'm complaining about it, I just think it's a little sad. If there's a ride I'm excited about, I'll every so often drop in to see what sort of progress has been made, but then I move on. I don't check every hour or so and gleefully post updates about the latest five bolts that have been moved onto the construction site. I try to live as well rounded of a life as possible; coasters are only a small part of it. When I check on updates, it usually goes like this: "Oh. Pretty cool." *continues living life* I certainly believe that to each their own, and I do appreciate following a project from afar, but I will never, ever understand being so fixated on it like some people here. It's the off-season we need something to do!
  17. When I walked back there to find out the same thing for myself I found that it was Breakers Express' Laundry
  18. You guys may want to check out their latest post on Twitter...
  19. Also..... more track!!!!!!! Looks like they also have the top of the immelmann sitting on the ground near the ride. Maybe they will put the top in before the rest of the inversion after all.
  20. Wow thanks for sharing this! I remember my Grandma had this on VHS(!) and I used to watch it everything I would go over there. Sadly that VHS has been long since forgotten so it was great to come across that again!
  21. New support in place and large piece of track nearby... probably going to be put in today or early tomorrow...
  22. I've been reading this whole thread for the past couple days and just wow, wow and more wow! Absolutely stunning! I really can't wait to see this park get more modern thrill rides in the future!
  23. I rode the slingshot at CP (which is much larger) for free but it was amazing and would gladly do it again even for the $25 CP charges for it. I have never ridden a ripcord/extreme sky flyer though so can't help you there.
