You can buy all day lockers up front... I'm not sure but I think theyre somewhere between $15-$20. I think k might depend on size of the locker. -

I've been there probably 5 times since the "accident" and every single time theres been a mechanic working on it. Also, I'd think that if CP thought it would be down for the year, they'd take the trains off the ride to get a head start on maintenance, which isn't the case. All 6 trains are sitting in transfer waiting to open again. -
Holiday World (HW) Discussion Thread
bluestreak replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
There's just something about holiday world for me. I don't quite know what it is, but I love it. Yes the wooden coasters are pretty intense but I'm somebody that loves that in a wooden coaster. I'm sure the fact that I'm young helps me handle the craziness and bumps on those coasters a little easier but I don't ever see a time in the future where I stop loving the woodies here... And Thunderbird too! -

At the park now, it's gonna be a crowded one. Have my fastlane from renewing my season pass. Looking forward to a good day! The last pieces of the completed circuit. -

The scary part is watching what happens to your body when you stop drinking it. I had withdrawals including brain fog, constant headaches, and very restless sleep. I used to drink at least 40 oz of Diet Mt. Dew per day. It took years before I stopped having the occasional dream of chugging soda/pop. I'm definitely a victim of the headaches... I really need to start slowing down my pop consumption -

All this talk about how bad pop is for you is scaring me considering the amount I drink lol -

T-Rex seems more likely. More realistic for a park like KI capacity wise. -

Looks like the final pieces will be put in soon! -
Sorry to break into the conversation about the recent incident but I'm wondering what kind of crowds I should expect to see for the rides on Friday October 13th and Saturday the 14th. Obviously I'm expecting some pretty heavy crowds on the Saturday but maybe the haunts will eat up a lot of people? Also just fyi we'll be at the park from open to close on Friday and from open till about 5 or 6 on Saturday before driving home to Cleveland

If the weather is nice, it'll be packed. Columbus day saturday is very busy for most parks. I'm sure Kings island is no exception. I don't remember what weekend but a few years ago we spent a weekend in October at KI and the weather was in the 70s and sunny. They were parking people in the grass at great wolf lodge next door. -

Not official but the third pic definitely looks legit. If true, it's not surprising at all. Bummer for anybody visiting the park the rest of the season. -

Just a few words about opening night of haunt last night: -Ride Lines were non-existent. Great night if only interested in rides -Only new haunt I did was Deprivation which was really good. I haven't done blackout at Kings Island but I imagine it's very similar. -Cornstalkers, Cut Throat Cove, Blood on The Bayou, and Tombstone Terrortory were all semi understaffed but the staff that was there were great. -Screamworks was surprisingly very well staffed and they were all very good. -Slaughterhouse was decent but I remember it being better last year. Those are the only haunts we did, the park itself has a very enjoyable atmosphere at this time of year and that didn't change this year. Can't wait to get back and check out the rest of the haunt lineup for this season. -

Interesting... I was there last year (which had bigger than normal crowds I would think thanks to mean streak) and didn't wait more than 10-15 minutes for anything all night. Maverick was posting a 35 minute wait at like 10 but that was about it. -

Tomorrow will be dead as far as rides. Don't waste it. The Sunday before Columbus day is the best day to use it. Yearly tradition for us. -

This is WoF we are talking about. They are fine with running a coaster with a worker in the booth and 1 on the platform. -

Just to add on to the crowd levels yesterday here's some of the wait times from about 1-4 in the afternoon, depending on when we passed by the line: Millennium, Dragster, Valravn, Maverick: 2 hours Blue streak, gemini, Magnum, rougarou, 1 hour GK: hour and a half. Definitely the most crowded day I've ever spent there. Raptor got stuck on the lift hill at about 1 o'clock and then was down the rest of the day. They were testing it a lot but never reopened. Seems like it's had a lot of trouble lately. -

I don't know if he will but one of my friends spoke to him yesterday and apparently Henry thinks he won't like the ride. -

So yesterday was a Steel Vengeance behind the scenes tour for ride warrior club members. If you don't know, ride warrior club is Cedar Point's exclusive coaster club. Tony took us around the infield of the ride for some great pictures. Couple things Tony mentioned: -The queue line will mostly take up the area surrounding the haunt building (which I believe is coming back next year if I heard him right) then use up the same walkway under the ride that approached the steps. -Bunny hills should be completed this week. -Track work should finish up by the end of the operating season. The hill will be completed once they get a crane big enough on sight. Thanks Tony and the CP crew for putting this together! -

Really good to hear it's running 2 trains now. Hopefully it stays just as reliable as it has been with 1 train.
