  1. Sad to hear about the slow ops... Hopefully they get things figured out since the park will be open all week. Has dominator been down all year or has it only been today?
  2. No. At the park today. TT is down all day so far. Dang... Well I'll probably still get fastlane anyways. I saw on Instagram that it valleyed.
  3. Does Kings Dominion offer fastlane plus to passholders for the regular price like CP and some other parks do? Thanks
  4. I'll be at the park for my first time ever for a few hours on Sunday the 8th on my way back home from Kings Dominion. Wondering if any locals could give me some general info on what to expect as far as crowds, operations, the rides themselves, food, etc. I assume the park will be dead but just wanted to ask. Thanks in advance!
  5. Well, this one is a new construction apparently so we had high hopes lol. We ended up going with a quality in like an exit away from the park that is legit brand new.
  6. Lol econo lodges aren't even considered by us when trip planning. Yuck.
  7. Does anybody know anything about the Days Inn right by the park? Reviews are less than stellar but all I'm really worried about is how clean the room is.
  8. June 1st? Psht, there's no way this thing will be any good until at least after June 7th... Guys. We all know it will suck forever. It will never be good and it will never be worth riding. Just skip it every visit.
  9. Yeah I would definitely hit Firehawk and flight of fear then head around the corner to beast, mystic, and diamondback. Everything else will be manageable the whole day, excluding invertigo but who cares about that ride anyways.
  10. Yeah looks like shit... Stay away.
  11. Boss looks great. Hopefully it really rips through there and you get some serious air time heading into the brakes.
  12. I really don't know where this notion that coastermania is super busy came from. During the afternoon you're looking at lines less than an hour at every ride besides Maverick and SV. The only other things that'll be more than a half hour or so will be Millennium and Valravn.
  13. ^Kristy in customer service is amazing! Glad to have gotten my ticket as well. Definitely going to be a cool and fun event. Props to CP for getting this all straightened out.
  14. SDC app is reporting a 2.5 hour wait time. I know it's opening day but it is a Wednesday. Definitely seems like they have a hit
  15. This thing is gaining attention here in Cleveland. Considering that we have Steel Vengeance not even an hour to our west, it's pretty impressive that time traveler is being talked about here. Ride looks great. Can't wait to eventually get back to SDC to ride.
  16. Also of note, the first rider benefit, which will be benefitting the LeBron James Family Foundation is Friday the 27th. SV and Maverick will be open from 6-10pm and the cost is $75. I think as far as first rider benefits go it's a reasonable price for a ton of rides on SV if you're into the whole first rider thing. Tickets go on sale monday and will sell out.

  18. You might want to double check as SFA's calendar on its website does not show operating hours for Friday April 6. Kind of unusual as they are open 10:30 - 7:00p on Thursday April 5 and 10:30 - 8:00pm on Saturday April 7. That being said, getting to KD via the Beltway over the Wilson Bridge and on down I-95 on Fridays is terrible and will start backing up before Noon and won't let up until close to 8:00pm. The Friday after Spring Break will be even worse, so plan accordingly! Crap thanks for the heads up... I guess now we will drive straight to KD from home on Friday and spend the rest of the night and Saturday there then go to Six Flags on Sunday on the way home.
  19. LOL we plan on it. Probably gonna get to SFA at about noon and leave at about 3. Edit* And if we somehow need more time at Six Flags we'll take SR301 to Kings Dominion. Stay off the highway
  20. Quick planning question, we'll be there the Friday and Saturday at the end of spring break April 6th and 7th. Am I right in assuming above average crowds Friday and a fairly packed park on Saturday? Friday we'll be coming in from a credit stop at Six Flags America so we won't be there till the evening. Then Saturday all day. Any strategic advice for either day? Any lines tend to die at the end of the night? Thanks in advance for any advice! Can't wait to get my first coaster rides of the season!
  21. No unfortunately. Darn.... So that brings me to my next question, since we'll only be passing trough basically to get our invadr credit, is there any discounts/passes that can get us in cheaper? I know clubtpr offers discounts but those details aren't available yet.
  22. ^I believe so. It's also right next door to Baymont inn and the beach water park entrance. All I need is a clean room and I'm fine lol
  23. I'm staying there for coasterstock as I'm 18 and that's the only place that will accept 18 year olds at check in. I've heard from a friend that's it's a clean, no frills hotel.
