  1. It's actually banned in Mass if you want to look it up. It was as a result of the SROS incident. While I'm not 100% sure I think that in MASS they are only banned on hypers. That is why Pandy is ok. I'm not quite sure about Jersey but I assume the existing rides with T-Bars would have to be grandfathered in if that's the case.
  2. I could be wrong but I think Mass only banned T bars on Hyper coasters. They were basically targeting Bizarro without saying it as bizarro is the only hyper in the state.
  3. Bizarro was always my #1 coaster before and after the transformation. It was actually still my #1 coaster after I went to CP and rode Millennium Force. Currently it is not my #1 coaster, MF is. The restraints and the new train initially didn't change my view on the ride but more recently it has. I had no problem with the original "New" restraints they were comfortable and fine. What really bugged me was the ankle plates, that's where I drew the line. And not to mention the view blocking head rests, they didn't bother me when it was first transformed but now that the audio is spoty at best the coaster is no longer my #1. Hint to Six flags the two things that made me change my #1 were changes that were made during the bizarro transformation. BTW you will never see the T-Bars return. Mass added a state law banning them on mega coasters.
  4. I've given up on my last project, Catskill's Dam. I really thought that it was below my RCT3 level and plus it had a horrible storyline. After that I felt my RCT3 skills weren't being used to it's fullest. I've decided to get a fresh start with a new park, but with a twist. Since I'm good with RCT3 but I suck at developing the story I've teamed with one of my friends on another forum site to develop the story line while I build the park in RCT3. Obviously this requires a lot of effort to communication and preplanning. we've been working on the park for a while now and we wanted to get way ahead since it takes a while to build anything. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Walaba Lake Park is a picnic park generating from 1913! Located in Pittsburg PA, In the Golden Age of roller coasters, Walaba just could not stay in the times. Jack Rabbit at Kennywood and Thunderbolt at Kennywood just killed the park's popularity. They could not afford an actual roller coaster or ride for that matter. The park went bankrupt after being overshadowed in 1927. In 1928, it was announced the park would be closing and the land would be up for sale. After 3 years of unsuccessful sales, an entrepreneur named Harold Williamsburg came to the rescue. The park installed a carousel, picnic grove, and a large wooden coaster for it's reopening in 1930. Plus, the original entrance was restored to its original state and color. More trees were planted to have the best fun and scenic experience possible. The wooden coaster was still overshadowed in 1930. Word needed to get out to compete with Kennywood. It was advertised like this on radios in 1931: "You thought Coney Island Cyclone or Racer at Kennywood was intense? Well, then take a ride on this thrill! This ride will send you through screamingly amazing drops, astounding twists and turns, and intense negative and lateral G's! Come ride the new ride, "The Coaster!" Only found at Walaba Lake Park in Pittsburgh PA!" Guests instantly started flowing into the park. This skyscraper of a coaster was booming over the other parks! Guests started to want a name though. After months of voting for the name, "Walaba Lake Flitzer" was confirmed! In 1931, the new name was branded with a sign in front of the ride. Unfortunately, on September 14, 1931, a woman was ejected from the ride due to the extreme negative G's. New restraints were a side effect and nothing was the same for the Flitzer. There were now seat belts on the Flitzer. The ride experience was changed, but for most enthusiasts, for the better. They felt more secure and safe and much more happy with their hands up. The Flitzer did its job bringing in $1,000,000 dollars in the first 2 years of operation at $0.25 a ride! Crowds flocked to The Flitzer after the radio campaign,
  5. Don't let Goliath be your opinion on GIB's. The ride sucks compares to all the other ones, Goliath last year was my second favorite coasters at the park and now I probably won't ride it again because of the new train. The GIB with the original trains with the wing seats are much much better
  6. I love how you incorporated the unreliability of the GIB's into this park.
  7. Yeah It's really sad, just as parks get popular they end. Thanks atari for not making a new RCT game that can handle big parks with lots of CS
  8. This is kinda off topic but I'm glad that they finally put used to the Nightmare building. Unfortunately I wasn't able to try out the Haunted House last year but either way it is 10x better than sitting empty
  9. My bad I was just thinking about the hypers they were adding around this time called Superman. Like at Darien Lake, SFNE and Six Flags America. I wasn't thinking about the other superman coasters.
  10. I guess it won't be a superman ride if it loops! I just want to take the time to compliment how awesome your park is! You really have me hooked in. This is overall a great thread, you keep the viewers involved with votes and polls. Another thing I love is how frequent the updates are, we never have to wait to long for a update.
  11. What I would like to see happen to the park is a Kickass Euro Fighter in Bobsleds spot and part of Go kart's spot. Use the remaining space for a slide tower. Especially since Pirate is gone I see that area changing quite a bit soon. After that I want Six Flags to do nothing but family oriented stuff. They need one standout steel to attract enthusiast, that in my eyes is the one thing they are missing.
  12. I think in the last picture it is pretty clear that it is a B&M track
  13. Maybe it will be named Batman with that sign of the building. Maybe it's Gotham city
  14. I'm pretty sure there is a way to import coasters from no limits. I personally don't know how to do it but I have seen it done
  15. John's Coaster Blog: Sorry it has been a long time since the last update but my work has really been busy latley so I havent been able to provide updates. Another thing is that not very much has gone on at the park during season 3. Attendance has been up over season 2 and season 1. The park is definitely doing much better. Lets see some photos Jumper has quickly become the busiest ride in the park
  16. Hello My name is John Tomson. Many of you know me as GM of Catskills Dam. As some of you may know we have had a really busy off season. You may be wondering why could the off season be soo busy if the park isn't even adding a new ride? The answer has been hidden until today... Opening day. On behave of the entire park, I would like to announce A brand new twist on a Original ride. The park has enclosed Jumper!!! Over the long offseason our crews were busy taking apart Jumper to be refurbished and painted, clearing extra land behind the ride's old location and even building the dome. After that we brought in a team of three experts in Sound, Lighting and Amusement ride effects. The sound and lighting guy's came right from Broadway. Under the command of the experts our crews were busy strategically hanging theatrical lights and speakers. After all of the hardware was wired up into a central computer system, the actual ride returned to the dome through a back garage door. The next month of the off season was used for the expert to create a program that lined up with the Ride's program. While the experts were creating the program we were busy training a select few ride ops on the ride. NYS requires a crazy amount of training for ride ops of enclosed rides. So as you can see the park was extremely busy. The park would like to keep the actual ride experience a secret so everyone can be stunned when they walk in the dome. The only thing I can relay to you is that Jump Around by House Of Pain will no longer be in the program. I can only provide outside pictures of the ride. I grabbed these just a few hours ago just before the park closed.
  17. John's Coaster Blog:I returned from the last Town meeting and I have some awesome news! The park has gained approval from the town to enclose a park ride! Some notes from the meeting. The park did not specify which Ride will be Enclosed. They simply refereed to the ride as X. The town approved the ride only under certain conditions. Some of the specifics were precautionary measures due to the Rye Playland death of the operator some years ago. The town added a limit to the number of lights and speakers in the dome. The town also limited the volume of the music inside of the dome. I Think the general assumption is that Jumper will be the ride enclosed. Golden Zephyr is just to Huge while American Flyers is unlikely because no Swing ride has ever been enclosed. I'm really looking forward to this addition. Music and lighting always adds another dimension to the ride to make it 100 times better
  18. John's Coaster Blog: Just a little Mid Season update for you guys! The park has been extremely busy almost every day of the week. Forest Run has been a huge hit and a Fan Favorite. I haven't been able to ride since opening day because the line usually reaches up to one hour. The craziest thing is that all the other rides also seem to be busier. I would expect that the new Coaster would be pulling people away from those rides but I guess not! I have some new pictures for you so here they are. Golden Zepher doesn't look as busy but it also has a huge capaticity swinging 75 people per cycle. The park is really growing. I'm looking foward to seeing what they are gonna add for next year. My guess is nothing big due to the new coaster this year but hey you never know!
  19. Hello My name is John Tomson. Many of you know me as GM of Catskills Dam. It's been a busy couple of days for me and the park. Friday we had a soft opening for the new coaster Forest Run! We opened the park just so the ride ops can get experience working with large crowds that they will be faced with on opening day. We set our ticket price to $10.00 because The new coaster was the only ride open. Then on Saturday at 9am we had our official season two opening. We expierenced the largest crowd the park has ever seen. I wanna take a moment and thank the PR department for getting the word out about the Coaster. The first ever ride on Forest Run! The guests on the first train received memorabilia to remember the occasion The second train out of the station going up the lift Here you can see the Entrance the queue of Forest Run and the new Logo. Because of Costruction on the coaster we needed to knock down the old food court building. Now you can see the new bathroom facility we build in it's place. As you can see the skyline of the park has been forever changed The line for the new coaster on Friday Night. The new open air eatery directly in between Golden Zephyr and Forest Run( Don't worry this one won't be knocked down after one season. The queue of the coaster and the bathroom in the background
  20. Nice looking coaster for the park. My wood coaster in Catskills dam was suppose to be called Forest Run. I even had the logo done. The park is coming along nice.
  21. Sorry Guys, I've been really busy lately. I was planning on doing construction updates but then I realized how time consuming supporting a wood coaster actually is. I've finished the coaster and all the supports for it. Sorry on some of the pics I left the UI on by accident. Also please don't critize the supporting of the coaster. I know it looks sketchy but It took alot of time. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- John's Coaster Blog: I was looking at the park's Facebook page today and I saw they added a bunch of pictures of the new coaster today. The thing that is werid is that they look like they are from different points in time as the progress is seen progressing. I guess they saved all the photos until the end.
  22. Hello My name is John Tomson. Many of you know me as GM of Catskills Dam. I know why all of you are reading today so I am just gonna cut to the chase. It's Announcement day! On behave of our owners I would like to announce our first coaster!!!! We have been working with Gravity Group since the park opened to develop this ride. I have some models of the coasters to show you. I hope Everyone is as thrilled about this coaster as I am. While we reveled the coaster we still are keeping some stuff secret until opening day like our station design and name. From now on we will be sharing frequent construction updates.
  23. John's Coaster Blog: I happened to see something strange on the way home from work the other day so I decided to stop in. What I found is extremely exciting. It looks like the Park will be adding it's first roller coaster!! From the looks of the station it will be a wooden but we can't be sure. Just a side note some of Jumpers audio equipment has been removed for construction. The park has added speakers under the platform for the mean time This is the park's last week of operation so I will no longer be able to give updates until Opening Day. From now on you will have to watch the park's social media pages for news and construction pictures! Remember the park's news conference is in under 2 weeks
  24. ^Yes, There will be a waterway in the future and it will have a dam
