  1. Spitballing off of this, I have often dreamed of a coaster that uses TC's trough and waterfalls as themeing elements. While I am aware that the whole flooding issue makes this a moot point, it could be fun to dream.
  2. What will happen first: Vertical construction here, or BGW officially announcing that Premier launcher?
  3. The ride premiered at the State Fair.
  4. This might just be one man's opinion, but the park seems to need a family wooden coaster (preferably GCI) more than it needed Batman. With Iron Rattler, Superman, Poltergeist, Boomerang, and (not-so Goliath) Goliath; the park seems to be more focused on thrill coasters. There isn't really an in-between them and Pandemonium and Road Runner Express. And currently no wooden coaster existing at the park with Rattler's transformation.
  5. ^Though what's more likely to arrive first: new/more/better tube slides or mat slides? I'd love to see a Krakken Racer.
  6. With the capacity it has, it won't be upcharge. And I agree with your joy that the park is adding more adult flat rides. Hopefully they begin focusing more on the park and keeping all rides from needing major rehab. Would an Intamin or Chance/Morgan Mega-lite be more likely for this park? The Intamin version needs to make American appearances.
  7. Shhhh. I can dream Nightmares are dreams too. Sorry.
  8. ^And there's also the possibility of a Vekoma train on Arrow coasters. Arrow trains have gone on Vekoma coasters before.
  9. I loved the "Attack Eyebrows" on the one you said was going to take over the world! You could probably take bottle tops off with them.
  10. Holiday World: Thunderbird's track is complete! Valleyfair: Still pushing dirt (and snow).
  11. Couple things: 1. Google maps over Valleyfair has been updated to show around Haunt 2014 2. Does anyone else think that Ripcord might be relocated/removed in the next few years to expand Route 76? 3. Does the lake/pond that Corkscrew goes over have an official name? 4. Does anyone else think that Riptide should remove the water element? I've noticed that most complaints surrounding it have to do with the water. I've ridden SFGAm's top spin and I would rather have one without water than with it. 5. When will something happen with the amphitheater? Either torn down or refurbished?
  12. I remember when I was here back in 2002 vs earlier this year; FITH's splash was more intense this year. I only got a mild soaking back then, but this year I got completely drenched. Has there been an increase in water volume? That could explain some of the wear and tear. But then again, what do I know?
  13. Would we even get one, with Ghost Blasters at the MOA, how closely would the public relate the two?
  14. Maybe the camera/mount couldn't take Steel Venom's holding brake. And wasn't there a time earlier in the season when the brake was off for a while?
  15. HaHa! I happen to love Star Trek. Can't wait till they come up with another series or movie. As for as the clue goes, Captain Pickard says "Make It Happen"! False. A. It's Picard, no "k" okay? B. It's "Make it so."
  16. Am I the only one who was upset that a flyers wasn't included with Route 76? With R76, we got: two relocated rides, a zombie ride, and 1 new ride that essentially is the big brother of another in the park. R76 was about going back to the park's roots. Northern lights wasn't the ride, but the name of a ride. We had a flyers back in the day. And they're making a comeback. I wonder when we'll get ours?
  17. Look at Kings Island: Banshee, Bat, and Invertigo all in the Action Zone with a Vekoma junior invert a stone's throw away. And then over at Dorney Park, Stinger and Possessed are practically interlocking, with Talon within spitting distance. And your point being what now?
  18. I've had a similar thought: using the wave's pool for a splashdown/water effect. But a way to keep the bridge. There are times when I would like to go on the bridge without riding the wave. I'm sure that several others feel this way too.
  19. I think it might be more popular without the water element. I love the style of ride, but I would rather not take the Ice Bucket Challenge this way.
  20. What's your problem with Nitro?
  21. Let me clarify something about my earlier rant: I was upset at how small the package is and how the drawn kiddy area is puny. I was upset because I was expecting a whole lot more. I'm excited about the new thrill slides, but I'm worried about what it means for the future and how much growth Cedar Fair expects us to have. And still no announced flyers for Route 76!
  22. This is pathetic. A couple new speed slides and lame kiddy area #2. Mt. Olympus put more effort into their kiddy area than this! No mat racers, no big raft slides. Look at Dorney Park's Snake Pit: I thought we'd get a minimum of that, we didn't even get the whole package! Guess we're not meant for a nice ride afterall.
  23. Am I the only one who finds it ominous that the announcement is taking place on 9/11?
