  1. That would be near impossible. They still have to replace brakes, replace a lot of station, and I'm sure a lot more. He wasn't being serious... they're obviously not really trying to do that. I know that, I'm just saying that would be near impossible. I do agree with him though, they are doing a bunch of work now, that could wait until October 19th.

  3. Oh well, I just think it seems weird for an amusement park to buy used vehicles to use on a safari. That's just me though.
  4. No this site just has some bizarre obsession with being anti-california. I was joking.
  5. If you ask someone how tall they think a building is, then compare it to a new attraction height.
  6. Until stupid CA rules the airtime is "unsafe" and requires some modification to the ride, the restraints, or both that basically ruins it. If you want actual real good airtime, CA is just not the state for you. Cali has a ban on airtime?
  7. I didn't either. I knew the tallest was 200 unless approved.
  8. They were bought from Military surplus, they were used during such conflicts as the gulf war. I have no idea who did the conversion. Very Six Flag-ish
  9. I am totally guilty of this. You know you're a roller coaster nerd when you compare the height of ANYTHING to the height of a roller coaster. "Dad, how tall do you think that mountain is?" "Umm...I'd say about 1200 feet." "What? So you're saying Top Thrill Dragster is only a third of that?" *shocked* I do this
  10. They can always add height to the coasters structure. Not in that location. I believe that ride actually exceeds the current height restriction in that part of the park as it was grandfathered into a new restriction. Oh, I did not know that. I knew it was different in certain areas of the park. Sucks it isn't located near the front.
  11. Granted, they cause B&M to go bankrupt and you never get to ride it. I wish that Six Flags actually cared about Kentucky Kingdom while they operated it.
  12. Or it could be called "Six Flags that only receives used attractions."
  13. They can always add height to the coasters structure.
  14. Same! 2015 is lined up to be the best year in my existence.
  15. Granted, they have horrible operations and efficiency. I wish Kentucky Kingdom had a height requirement of 700 feet and they had many tall attractions.
  16. Wow! The visitors this weekend are in for a treat.
  17. If we're going down that road. Well, yes, it will open in 2017. But not 2016.
  18. I think Lightning Run and the refurbed Thunder Run are good steps in that direction. It'll be interesting to watch this reborn park as it continues to develop. Yes, agreed we can only hope for an RMC conversion for Twisted Twins
  19. Granted it's almost 200 degrees and you'll die If you go outside. I wish Kentucky Kingdom's height requirement wasn't 200 feet.
  20. Well, from what I've just heard Dominator was indeed made for Kentucky Kingdom. Dominator was supposed to be built in the vampire old spot as well as the squids dry slides spot. Steel Venom could as well been originally planed for the park as well. Looking at Dominator Design/map below, their is space for a impulse coaster right behind Dominator. Steel Venom would occupy the spot Greezed Lighting occupy today. It seems things changed as soon as Six Flags purchased Geauga Lake. So as soon as that happen, Six Flags quickly purchased Road Runner Express, and In 2001, Six Flags added Sky Coaster to fill the blank space in the park. I wish, Dominator, Steel Venom, Skycoaster, Chang, Thunder Run, Twisted Twins, and T2 would have made the park awesome!
  21. Where did you hear that? I actually believe I've posted that here sometime in 2013 as well. Either way, if the Iron Boss was announced for 2016, I would be in utter shock. The issue with the length is just the price tag of the transformation, and whether or not it's worth having to tear out part of the ride or something. They don't have to use the whole track length, TC for example.
