I didn't get to the park this year but am happy to hear that they are taking care of general punch list maintenance. Going all the way back to when SF originally owned the park, those general maintenance items were not really being done. It would be nice to have a new coaster or even flat ride but there is also something to be said about a park where all rides are operational 90% of the time

My thought would be that EPR sets the budget for the year and in this case may actually have to buy the coaster from SF. If SF corporate is the one making the additions to the park then i could see one of the lower level coasters relocated here. I don't think Jokers Jinx will be moving though. I hear it is a maintenance nightmare, which we don't need more of.

I would expect the final big turnaround on Predator and possibly the last set of airtime hills to be next to get Titan Tracked. As far as stuff from SFA, I would expect most of that to stay within the chain. We may get a flat ride but i wouldn't bet on much. The Superman trains will go wherever that coaster goes. If they scrap it we may get the trains for parts and extras

Wow! So is Motocoaster now the only coaster that can run multiple trains still with only one? I know they may not be running two trains on all coasters yet, but at least they are there when they need them

I am very happy to hear that they are going to have 2 trains for all coasters (not sure on Motocoaster) now. Even if they only use them occasionally on busy days. At least they have them if they need them

I bet other smaller parks or parks in other parts of the world would pay for it compared to a new one.

I would say SF would want to purchase SFDL for the extra revenu from the hotel and campground. Also, the only way SFA's intamin hyper trains come here are if that coaster gets completely scrapped which I don't see happening. I think it gets moved to a park like Michigan's Adventure or Great Escape (if they have room) or sold outside the chain

I think it's hard to say if the closing of SFA will impact SFDL. Could we get a coaster from them, maybe. The thing is that none of their coasters was considered great. Maybe the Premier spaghetti bowl or one of the kids coasters. They also only had a few flat rides that would work at DL. Further complicating things is that they may not want to put these rides into parks they don't own. Honestly I see some of the water rides and slides as possibilities to come here, if anything

Yeah even the big parks like CP and CW are only two day parks. If they could build the park up to something like that then the hotel will pay off. Until then it's a bit of a waste

I saw lots of ads recently for SFDL lodging. I really like the new lodge logo for the hotel and campground. If this is any indication, SF may be trying to market SFDL as a true resort, which would also mean they meed more and better rides/coasters. I really wonder if SF may buy DL from EPR and do something good. I doubt it but it's a thought

I forgot to say that Screamsçape is reporting the SFA is getting new trains for their Intamin hyper. Could they ship their current trains to SFDL or could SF have ordered new trains for us too?

My guess is no new Titan Track for Predator this year, but I am expecting another train for both Motocoaster and ROS. I am not sure what track reprofiling is but I expect ME to run better just with the new vest style train

I bet Green Lantern would fit on the plot of land where Grizzly Run sits. I would love to see it at SFDL

So apparently Mind Eraser has been fully painted and all "track reprofiling" has been done. I'm not sure what that means but we will find out next year.

Has anyone gotten a look at Mind Eraser and if there has been any work done yet?

Apparently Morey's Piers did the same thing to their SLC a few years back. They brought in new track and added some extra supports and new trains. The reviews say it's actually fantastic!

I saw this earlier too. It certainly seems that either SF or EPR or both are sinking along of much needed money into the park. I could also see this Mind Eraser refurbishment as a way for SF to add the DC character themes back to the park. If they remove rizzly run, they have a huge plot of land with which to create Gotham City and ME gets renamed and tethered to batman or the joker for 2025 with a few flat or dark rides and shops. I have to say that if that were to happen and they get a second train for ROS, the park could be well on its way to much better things

Love that they are actually fixing up a few needed rides as opposed to just removing them. I wonder if EPR is trying to sell to SF?

I would not be surprised if SF does not "brand" rides at SFDL because they only operate the park, not own it. If the were to officially purchase it from EPR, then they would have more skin in the game and I bet you would see characters everywhere

If they have a second train for Motocoaster, they need to run it more often. That coaster has some of the longest lines in the park. I have not seen it on the transfer track, so I just figured the second train was used for parts

But viper actually has a second train they could use, they just choose not to. For ROS and Moto, they need to go purchase new trains

I know most days the park isn't that busy, but from a service standpoint they really should have two trains for ROS, Motocoaster and Tantrum. They don't have to run them daily but when needed

If they are spending money to fix the Boomerang, hopefully they have ordered new trains for ROS and Motocoaster at the very least

Screamscape is saying SFDL is getting 3 new pieces of track for Boomerang. I have not ridden it in a long time, but it was always pretty smooth. Any thoughts on where it will go? My understanding is it could use a new lift motor more than anythjng

SFDL posted on their FB page a flat bed trailer with a bunch of Titan Track on it. Hopefully more shows up in the coming days. Where on it do you think it will go? I think either the third turnaround or the two hills after the second turnaround.
