  1. I'm hoping to see lift hill parts going into place this coming week!! (However, I'm not holing my breath that it will actually end up happening.)
  2. Personally I think a Selfie Stick is a good invention if used the way it was meant to be used. When we took a family vacation to NYC it was nice to have a Selfie Stick with us because we could get the entire family in one picture without having to ask some random stranger to take the picture. However, we made sure we were never in anyone's way, and that we weren't the typical "Selfie Stick Users" kind of people. However, I do think a Selfie Stick on ANY kind of theme park attraction is just an ignorant idea. I can see why parks ban them, and I fully support any park who wishes to do so!
  3. Yes technically anyone can attend but you're right it is more expensive if you're not an IAAPA member. This is true. If you really want to go to IAAPA, you can. It's $385 for a non-member ticket. But keep in mind this trade show is not "play time" as it's an industry trade show for the people who are doing business with other industry vendors to attend. If you're sole purpose is going there just to "check it out" or "play" then you're going for the wrong reasons. $385 really isn't a bad price. In fact we are looking at going next year. Not for the "fan boy" aspect of it. But simply to experience something new, and get to enjoy few days away from work!
  4. Ohey wow... that Raptor track is looking amazing.
  5. ... Maybe they are going for a different color scheme??
  6. You mean they aren't tearing it down?! HOW DARE THEY CONFUSE US LIKE THIS?!?!
  7. To me it looks like they are making the footers taller. But I know about 0.0% of what they are actually doing so there is a small chance I might be wrong. I can't wait to see what comes out of this project.
  8. This picture is amazing. . . This coaster is amazing!! Can't wait to ride it!!
  9. We rode Vortex this past July and it was awful. I really don't see how anyone can enjoy that coaster. It was one of the worst coasters we have ever been on. With that being said... I could care less if Vortex stays, or goes. You enjoyed it, and I am sure there are other people out there who enjoy the coaster so leaving it for you all to enjoy is fine with me. However, if they were to remove it some year and replace it with something new... I wouldn't mind that either! But from now on every time we go to the park we will avoid riding Vortex... and Racer but that's a whole different story!
  10. But the real question is... does it count as an inversion??
  11. I highly doubt we will see anymore track placement this week.
  12. New photos of the bottom of the drop!! The track looks so pretty!! (Photos from cedarpoint.com)
  13. Looks like my prediction was right. The pullout is looking great!! Can't wait to watch the construction progress.
  14. I agree. It looks amazing so far! I can't wait for more info about it!!
  15. Awesome photos!! Thanks for sharing!! Makes me miss Christmas time at SDC.
  16. Oh yay!! It's that time of year again!! Can't wait to follow your coverage!! Have a great time!!!
  17. My vote is for Gwazi to get the next RMC treatment.
  18. Oh my. . . What a difference a coat of paint can make!! The ride looks amazing!!
  19. My predictions for today is that the two pieces they have laying next to the bottom of the drop will be put in place going towards the vertical drop. The blue support circled in yellow, will be placed on the footer circled in yellow!! (Now to wait and see if I'm right!)
