Probably so. I also saw them working on Judge Roy's track in the valley after the first drop on Tuesday. Hoping that means some new topper track is going in so it doesn't require a visit to a chiropractor to ride it. I haven't ridden it yet this season because it isn't worth the pain. I'd like to be able to enjoy it. I got a drive by picture of it as we were leaving the area. Drive by shot of work being done to Judge Roy

The rumor I I heard was that they discovered structural damage to Roaring Rapids that is over budget to repair, after draining it for the new attraction's construction. It is rumored that it could mean its demise. Wondered if anyone else got wind of this. Here are some pictures I took of progress from the tower last night. They had both levels open.

In my first few trips to SFOT, Titan opened later than the rest of the coasters - but that was pre-NTAG. I would ask the attendants at the entrance if either coaster is opening late (whether or not they know, it can't hurt to ask). The last time I visited I didn't get to the park until after 11 AM, so all of the rides including NTAG were open by then. I also highly doubt any other coaster in the park would open late, except for maybe Shockwave. A few of my visits to SFOT in the past were at the end of August, and the crowds weren't too bad - but early August could be a different story. I've never encountered more than a wait from the station on Titan, but most other coasters have had 30-45 minute waits.I'd look for Mr. Freeze and NTAG to have the longest lines as well as Superman Power of Tower. However, Superman usually has a single rider line open which is very nice. We tend to arrive in the mid-late afternoon when we go, but on occasion we do go at opening. Titan isn't usually closed unless it experienced technical troubles.

I always have a bottle of water with me coming into the park. Always. They have never given me crap over it. I've even gotten them refilled with ice water. I usually keep a Milo in my purse and the guy with the wooden spoon has never said anything about it. Our niece came with us last time and brought her water bottle and had it refilled with water no prob. As for rides. Last time we went at opening, Texas Giant was not open. But, with that being said, Titan and Giant are neighbors, so if you make your b-line to Giant and it isn't open, Titan is close. And I highly recommend Titan either early or late. It gets really hot and Titan packs a good punch in the g-force dept. It is much more enjoyable when you aren't already overheated and dehydrated. Batman is another one I recommend either late or early. They are slooooooow dispatching that ride and so the train sits in a sweltering holding area waiting for the train in front to dispatch. I personally don't have many gripes with the park. I always walk away having had fun. That's the goal of being at an amusement park. The one time I didn't was on a BAFF day in the spring, and everybody and their dog was there. We were there for after hours ERT. So, that part was fun. The stuff is expensive, but get your hand stamped and Denny's is as close a walk as your car would be and cheaper. Plus you get a break from all of the park noise. I recommend if you have one of those nifty popcorn buckets, you bring them. Refills are $1! My 2 cents.

We finally got to ride backwards Batman. OUCH!! I won't miss it when it is gone. My head got banged around worse than a teenage boy at a Metallica concert. And that was in the 2nd car, middle seat. Glad I didn't wait more than about 20 min for that head bashing. It was fun trying to predict what twist or roll will come next. A novel idea. I'll give them that.

We were there for the last day of the 4th of July event. It was great. Due to the hour wait time in a hot and muggy line cue, we skipped Batman and practically walked on to Freeze. Fine by me. A better ride anyway. We didn't experience the long dispatch times on NTAG and Titan. It isn't at SFFT levels, but not nearly as slow as they were in the beginning of the season. We made it a goal when we got there to be on Titan when the fireworks got going. The ride ops on Titan were busting their butts to get trains dispatched so everyone could do just that. There wasn't many in line, once things got started. We had two trains worth in front if us when we walked up, as the fireworks were going. They hustled it as fast as they could. Our train was delayed because someone wanted to argue about not taking off some hair thing, and someone left their kid to hang on the platform and they had to convince him to stand outside the gate. Then we were off. It was awesome!!! The train behind us only got the tail end. Had they not hustled it so, we'd missed the fireworks. Which reminds me. I need to send a kudos to the ladies running Shock Wave. They were doing their pre-dispatch sprinkler dance, and just about to send us on our way when the lady running the board saw a little kid (like 3 or 4 at the most), running around on the platform and about to step off onto to the track in the back. He was all over the place and not wanting to listen to the employee. Finally, she was able to get him out the gate and us on our way. I guess his parents were on the other train. Not a good idea to leave your small kid running the platform unattended! Especially if he is the "adventurous" type. The kid on Titan wasn't running around. Just standing by the storage bins. The Shock Wave kid was the exact opposite. These ops aren't babysitters. Had that lady not noticed him, we'd be hearing about another Six Flags fatality, because he'd surely fallen.

Yep. Saw it. Newsletter came after I posted. But thanks anyways. We were there. We had already planned to take my 2 boys and a friend each that day, before I found out about it. They each had a free ticket for reading from school, not a season pass. We didn't ride it because they wouldn't allow our guests to go with us. Didn't want to be rude to those boys. We'll just go later.

I experienced that at Six Flags Fiesta Texas on Iron Rattler. We rode in the front car, not realizing that it stopped at the top of the lift. Being used to Texas Giant, we were disappointed with it. It seemed too slow and short. Then it hit us. Duh! Ride in the front for scenery and in the back for speed. Especially with the steep incline of this coaster. So next time was in the back and it was a much better experience and we were very happy with that coaster.

We got there at 5:30 and the majority of what she said was closed had reopened. Both the mine trains were still closed. It was nearly a perfect trip. We got to ride Texas Giant 5x's. Titan, 3x's Freeze twice. My son rode Judge Roy while my husband rode Sky Screamer. I passed on both. Shock Wave was running but I was the only one that wanted to ride it, so we passed. You could tell that the line cue was flooded because it smelled like nasty swamp water and the debris in the fencing. Other than that it was business as usual. Light crowd! Last ride if the night was back to back rides on Texas Giant in the backseat!! The best part of the visit was introducing our 10 yr old to Mr. Freeze. He's been too afraid to ride it. Today he decided to do it. His reaction was hilarious! I took a before and after picture and we died laughing. Despite what you see in the picture he loves it and went back for more. First time riding Mr. Freeze before launch And just after stumbling off Mr. Freeze Round 2 with a thumbs up!

It wasn't a trip spoiler, just irritating. Especially since they didn't even wait till 8:30, like they have posted. Probably more like 8:15 or 8:20, as we were there at 8:24 and it had already been there. We are planning to go back real soon. My husband goes down there for work a lot. I guess we'll make sure we get our Superman rides in first.
