  1. As promised, our Timberliner update: Although we have made progress testing the new Timberliner trains designed for Voyage, they were not delivered to us in time to complete testing. We intend to resume Timberliner testing following our daily season. We thank everyone for your patience, and promise to post updates when testing resumes in late August. Meanwhile, we plan to run PTC trains on Voyage during our daily season this year. Thanks, Paula
  2. Once we know - one way or the other - we'll post it. Still testing ...
  3. Well no, we don't. We take every bit of feedback very, very seriously. You're all banned forever! (But first explain to me the fluffy, fluffy bunny thing ... you people are just weird.)
  4. It's a Santa thing ... "He's knows when you've been sleeping, he knows when you're awake ..." You know the drill.
  5. Ah, that was correct until just the past year, when they sold FF to Meredith; it's now part of the Parents magazine group. Thanks, though - we're mighty pleased with this designation. Paula
  6. Hmmm...crack you up...chuckle.....ahh you guys are opening a comedy club now aren't you??? Hmm--"The Long Shot Comedy Club" . . . new shooting dark ride! I've been told more than once that I should do stand-up ... oh, wait! Never mind ...
  7. You guys crack me up - thanks for the chuckle.
  8. We're not done growing - and I'm talking about both parks. Not by a long shot. (Okay, I'd better check - there isn't a ride called the "long shot," is there? Wouldn't want to start any rumors out of ignorance ...)
  9. Three coasters, actually. Thanks, Paula
  10. We announced the name change back in October - it's because of the "boundary" change. The ride will now be in Splashin' Safari, hence the safari animal reference. Say it fast - like a superhero name: Giraffica! Meanwhile ... sort of a pretty sunset tonight, don't you think?
  11. Can't quite figure out if BobblePat is hugging the TPR ornament ... or getting ready to sweep it out of her way with her omnipresent broom ...
  12. ^ We're getting ready to test them on Voyage. We're taking it one step at a time.
  13. Yep, that's us: "Making Merry Since 1946." Sounds a bit naughty, no?
  14. Holiday World dress code: Shirt, shorts, shoes, basically. More details here on our website: https://www.holidayworld.com/visit/rules-services#dresshw Thanks, Paula
  15. We started closing it with Splashin' Safari mid-season 2011, but before that it was on Holiday World hours. It always opened on HW hours.
  16. 1. No ... and no. 2. Same answer, unfortunately. When those two rides were built we had no idea a water park was in our future - so they were not strategically placed. 3. Because when only the dry park is open, the water park is closed. Since Giraffica is part of the water park, it will close when the water park closes. Thanks, Paula
  17. That was the original plan - to have two types of boats. The concern was the size of the seats on the round boats. We worried about being able to accommodate "fluffy" guests (Dan's term). Turns out the round boats worked out fine and since the"forward" boats needed more design work, we decided to stick with just the round ones.
  18. Yes, you'll be able to access Giraffica from our Thanksgiving section.
  19. After being beaten to a bloody pulp on Facebook, I come over here and ... oh, my ! Supportive, positive comments. (Isn't this one of the signs of the Apocalypse?) Thank you! To address/answer some of the posts: 1. You will be able to can get to Giraffica from either park when Splashin' Safari is open. 2. Yes, Robb, please wear clothes on Giraffica. Please. 3. We're adding to Splashin' Safari to try to get ahead of the crowds. That's the park that needs capacity attention right now. RhinoBlaster is a people eater. The new entry plaza and service area will be in the same location as what we've had the past 20 years - we're taking out the original river and two slides to make room. (We still have Bahari River.) 4. Timberliners have not been forgotten. It's just sort of embarrassing to re-introduce them, you know? GravityKraft will be on-site next week to test them. 5. Dan's "2014 - '15 - '16" quote in the paper referred to ongoing projects. He's really excited about one in particular...which was the impetus for the "big, big, big" comment. 6. For those who like the name "Giraffica," you have excellent taste. Thanks, Paula
