  1. BTW, to answer Robb's question about the ride the original Dominion of the Dead was in, it looks to me like the Bumper Cars. If that's the case, the building was a dead giveaway for me.
  2. Here's my reasoning: One might be tall enough to ride, but if they're not OLD enough, their bodies may not be developed enough, and the intense rattling from thrill rides or intense sensation from sensory rides would be far too much for them, and could cause some damage. But this is just my opinion, I don't know for sure.
  3. They got rid of the theme music...? That.... just ruined the whole park for me.
  4. What I find intriguing is how people are bashing the whole situation... when we all know little to none of the true hard facts... Just sayin'. What's important is the idiot WAS detained, further complications WERE prevented... And clearly a mistake was made and they'll learn from this!
  5. I happened upon videos on Youtube on videos from the great depression. They made whatever they had.... go far! The food looks pretty darn good, too. This woman's NINTY-SIX years old and she's still cookin'. http://www.youtube.com/show/greatdepressioncooking?s=1 If you don't cook (Which you should... ) then what are ways YOU save money? Hope you find this interesting. ** My bad, mods...
  6. There's another reason that most of the coasters are on one side.... Residential homes... The noise generated from such ride systems alone (If not the systems, the RIDERS!) would be enough for... heck... a public outcry! (Well... maybe not, but then again, you never know.)
  7. ^ I might try it... but I'd use lightwave since that's all I have. That's a cool layout. What do you think of mine from the pics?
  8. Here's something that's been in the making for... Heck, as long as I can remember. If this were real, I suppose this could go under The "world's fastest Mine Train".... A GIANT ride that would be themed like a mountain, the course weaving in and out of the mountainside, passing through bodies of water that would cascade down the slopes. Ahh, how I wish NoLomits would let me make my coasters look like mountains... One of the many moments where you pop out into the sunlight... only to return into the darkness once again. Here you can see the superstructure of the ride. The yellow line indicates what the "rockwork" would look like. The mountain was to be themed to a "haunted volcano"... that would really erupt fire every few minutes. Ahhhh, well, a man can dream! Looking up the monster... And that's only the first of TWO lift hills. Part of the "inside of the mountain" would be similar to caverns.. while other parts still would be pitch black.
  9. Hope you're not a manager with THAT kind of expectation! =/ More often than not it's the GUESTS who hold up operations, ergo the long dispatch times.
  10. Yes! This so much! Especially when you're sharing a car with people you don't know! Also, even though it may not seem like it should be a problem to WORK at, that station is murder on one's feet... the slight angle... for 12 hours a day... @_@
  11. Line jumpers. Out-of-control Kids. Over-The-Top ACErs who HAVE to be right all the time. (Sorry, but you really won't die!) People who just can't take "NO" for an answer. People who sneak on cameras. ( ) - I'm sure that Robb and anyone else who has POV has already had special clearance.
  12. Being allergic to said trees... What's worse than your worst nightmare come true?
  13. For those of you near KBF...well.... not close, but if you're within 30 miles of the place there's a burger joint called "Flame's"... Their food was OKAY, but I had ordered a crispy chicken breast sandwich and it looked beautiful! It smelled nice.. it even tasted great! But then I got to the middle. You know that unmistakable taste of STALE or UNDERCOOKED meat? The chicken was tragically undercooked in the middle. I was forced to throw it away and I couldn't eat for the rest of the day. My coworkers were all "What happened?" "Ewwww!" Soo... yeah. Oh, and there's an A&W restaurant near a local college, around ten or so miles from KBF in Norwalk.... The food was okay but the bathrooms.... *shudder* It made me gag and nearly lose my lunch.... before I even ate it! The only reason I didn't just walk outta there was because I had already paid... Why, A&W?
  14. Trust me, hardly any of us are wackos like that... like someone else said, usually you find 'em in the southern states, where you go to HELL if you dance or if you're a woman, show skin or let your hair down!
  15. Tokyo Smiling by Capsule.
  16. Oh! For those who frequent KBF.... Riptide. Yes, riptide. Those BRAKES! Oy... I could hear 'em clear from the parking lot one day! Then again it could have been the wind or something, but that ride's brakes... they squeak like nothin' else!
  17. Yes they do!! I thought it was one time until I saw that the train was EMPTY!
  18. Happens all the time and that was the #1 perk that I loved while working Riptide. "No it'll be fine in my pocket." On the first flip it goes straight in the water. Ahhh, the good ol' days. Your reaction I'll never forget that one time... "Sir! Sir! My iPhone fell in the water!!! DX" ".... Of course it did. "
  19. I'm very curious to see what new RIDES (Not necessarily ATTRACTIONS) might go there... that expansion seems quite stately!
  20. ^ Epic fail from the lady! I remember a PRICELESS conversation between a Gp and a ride op at Perilous Plunge. GP: Hey... erm... *reads nametag* , did you go on this before? Ride Op: Yes. Yes I did. GP: Did you die? Ride Op: ....... Uhhhhh...... I hope not????? GP: Leik OMG!! DDD:
  21. Until looking at these photos... I never realized that there's almost an artistic aesthetic to the structure (er... frame?) of the ride in construction. This looks like it will be a nice ride. I might even want to ride this! (I'm a complete chicken BTW)
  22. Then it wouldn't be Soarin' OVER CALIFORNIA. And therefore pointless, in my opinion...
  23. Doncha think they should worry more about adding more rides to their park already in Hong Kong and worry less about building a park that people probably don't need? My two cents
