1. ^^ So exciting to see this finally start to transpire!
2. ^ What is "MLB"? I've seen you post it several times and I'm lost.
3. I know the Parachute drop at SFGAd was relocated from SFStL, but did SFGAm aver have a Parachute drop?
4. Personally I think it'll be scrapped because Robb has been hinting at this for a long time (well before it was a mainstream rumor), has been right about every aspect of this so far and seems pretty confident that they're not going to relocate the coaster. From my trip report to Universal Japan last December... Let's just say I've known about this for quite some time and they aren't going anywhere but the scrap yard. I didn't just go ride Dragons the other night by random chance. Yes, I'm disappointed by this news. And not because I think it's a bad idea that Universal is building more Potter attractions because what they have proven over the last 7 years is that is pretty much ALL they can build that people like, so they have to play to their audience and I don't blame them for that. What disappoints me is that they can't figure out what to do with two world class roller coasters that really aren't at the end of their lifecycle both from an operations or a guest saturation standpoint. If Universal Japan can have Jaws, Potter, and two kick-ass B&M coasters all co-exist, why can't Universal Orlando? If those coasters ran like garbage today because they have been neglected or didn't age well, I would fully understand ripping them out, but that's not the case. It's just an unfortunate situation. The park needs to sell Potter rides. Dragons takes up a lot of space. It doesn't quite fit the Potter demographic. And Universal can't be bothered to figure out something to do with the ride, which absolutely *could* be as big of a hit for the park (or one of their other upcoming parks) as Hulk is. When I see a park spending millions on rides like Kong, Fallon, and the upcoming Fast & The Furious while at the same time seeing a barrage of comments saying "please Universal no more screens" posted by everyone from their biggest fans to their casual visitors, yet at the same time they are ripping out perfectly good "top ten" rides that have high guest satisfaction scores, that just doesn't seem right to me. I mean, if Nagashima Spaland, who also operates their roller coasters year round, can move a 33 year old Ultra Twister and a 38 year old Corkscrew to a completely different side of the park to accommodate fitting in a new kids area, don't tell me that Universal wouldn't have the resources to figure out how to make a world-class pair of still fairly new B&Ms by comparison a viable attraction in their park again. *THAT* is what I'm disappointed about. Or at the very least, selling them rather than scrapping them.
5. I went on a Saturday last July and I was able to do everything I wanted to. The longest wait was for Monster and I think that was about 30 minutes.
6. ^ And I wouldn't be surprised if a Zamperla Giant Frisbee is added to that list for 2018
7. ^ I'm sure VF is going to get a lot of love from CF. Just not the kind of love that a lot of folks are hoping or speculating for.
8. Those names are mythological creatures, they aren't dumb. They are actually related to Gatekeeper. Last 3 coasters names are related I bet you think Leviathan, Behemoth, and Ziz are dumb too, though again related in Mythology. Yes, Ziz is incredibly dumb.
9. Well, I'm hoping the 2018 addition will utilize the Fling plot. And then if we get any Endeavor it can go somewhere else in the park that may be in need of a sprucing up. But we shall see.
10. Now watch, you guys bash this project for possibly being a spinning coaster, but when it opens, it will be called the best thing since sliced bread. I don't think SDC nor Mack rides could make a dud project. Watch all you want, there are many of us who are wishing for a traditional helix type coaster over a spinner. Could the spinner be great? Maybe, but I know myself well enough to know I have preferred non spinning coasters to spinning coasters at this point. I don't see how speed or extreme elements could enhance my enjoyment or make the experience less nauseating. Continue to make as many snide remarks as you feel is necessary. If the coaster ends up spinning and I end up loving it, I lose nothing. Sucks you couldn't fit on Outlaw Run. I completely agree with your feelings here. I don't think I could really get excited about a spinning coaster, even if "extreme." But if there is a non-spinning train or row of seats, I think it'll appeal to a lot more people (including me and many GP). I do get the feeling that if the layout is designed to handle spinning trains, forces will inherently have to be less intense to handle the spinning train at any orientation, thus making it slightly less appealing to me, but I will reserve judgement until we know a lot more. I do really hope there's something else coming though. I'm hoping to be surprised on 8/16 (Which is basically Enthusiast Christmas at this point!) Agree completely
11. Looking forward to the next report

It simply means a lot of people don't like, or cant handle spinning!
13. Well, maybe now Tidal Wave can be saved for at least one more season!
14. I'm going with angle of decent as well
15. Its actually quite the opposite. The park could use at least two new flats. Without the removal of any as a replacement.
16. Could be the carousel. Although I don't know when it came to the park.
17. There are only a handful or original rides left looking at the ride list from 1971, which are the Mine Train, flumes, antique cars and the rail road. Out of the options, I hope it's the antique cars.
18. ^ Kind of sounds like you're hinting at the log ride. I really hope not!
19. I'm not familiar with SFA, is open queues common here or was it just on Fireball?
20. Honestly, I feel like DDD would be better suited at another park in the chain that would not be as poorly affect with such low capacity. That was a really inappropriate addition for SFOG.
21. Anniversaries are only important to enthusiasts. They will not bring in a large addition just for the 50th anniversary. They will bring in banners praising the occasion. That's it.
22. ^ I used to feel the same way. But that's just not how Six Flags corporate works.
