I've not actually had a computer for about 4 months, but I've been jotting down ideas for a while, so when I finally got hold of my old one it's been a case of filtering down ideas. I went back to the giga I designed and I just can't get my head round how to make it good, they're so bland on NL. As sort of a "I wonder what would happen if I..." moments I started creating this coaster. It's not the most original ride, but the level of newton-meddling has been pretty intense as the shaping on these rides is so interesting. I'll probably release this as more of a case study of wing coaster design, but so far it rides really nicely, even if the track looks abit messed up in places. You will probably gather there's abit of Gatekeeper, Wild Eagle, X-Flight and even some The Swarm! I initially wanted an inverted drop, but it's so bloody difficult and it wouldn't really..be impressive in NL, as ace as they are in real life. Even without that drop though, there's a good 5 inversions in this baby. Anyway onto a few pics. Feedback good or bad, and any ideas are welcome as always.

It was definately working, but just a bit hard to spot unless you are looking for it! What about this one? No one seems to mention it, did they not use it all day? -

Ahahaha! Reading a new issue of "Men's Health" Magazine they have a "monthly guide to might" which includes on the 15th of march "a 57mph anti-depressant". Was confused when I saw The Swarm's plans in a health magazine! haha good old merlin marketing aye. -

^ Ride speeds vary quite abit. If you've ever seen Nemesis do it's test run on a cold morning unloaded. It CRAWLS round! Talking to a techie it turns out the difference in speeds between a hot and cold day is surprisingly a lot. Also if the ride's been operating for a long time, the friction heats everything up and gets all the lube loose. EVERYTIME a new B&M gets testing..everyone says it's slow. I've been around coaster forums since I was 14 and I've seen the same comments every year. I think you should give a little leeway for the fact that 1.it's COLD atm (stupid winter) 2. it's new and 3.it's unloaded. Also wing riders have to have slow rotation through all it's banking to stop lats in the outer seats so it kind of gives an illusion of slowness. -

Changed the shambhala turn quite abit. It looks more like the plans now Done a little speed-s-hill and a camelback and mirrored the ride...there's not much track left to play with! Am not letting it go over 5450ft Ignore the colour for now! -

They're really making this tight! Look at the clearance tester. -
Been very excited with a few 2012 coasters and a little curious of B&Ms new style. So I thought I'd give a giga a bash and try and make something work! I'm limiting myself to not go crazy with the physical length of the ride, as Leviathan already pushes the limits and will be the longest B&M ever made. But trying to get a good, original, speed filled, interesting layout..with out being unrealistic is prooving a little difficult... So I've turned to Leviathan's 2012 twin Shambhala to nick a little element. I still have the rest of the layout to finish but I'll post progress here and feel free to add suggestions. I still need to figure out how to do the giga-lift-spine but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. Now to screens. The Shamby-helix Another angle.

I don't know why people expect no trims. B&M have put trims on all their rides since the 00s. It's only their early rides which don't have them. I see the trim, and I'm not at all surprised, nor dissapointed. -

Well..actually the plans state the colour...and it's black/grey.. ei. a dull moody colour. LIKE EVERY SINGLE SINGLE COASTER MERLIN HAVE BUILT! (Saw, Thirteen, Krake, Raptor, The Swarm) Every single one of them is either black/grey or some moody colour. Meh guess it suits the theme. I just with they were abit braver with colour. -
Silent Shout [Raw Version]

^ The track is called Four Walls it's by Massive Attack and Burial. Thought it fitted the vibe. The concept was actually inspired by an album by The Knife, with the same name. Although Silent Hill does kinda fit! Also anyone who would like just the plain track file, it's here. Although remember the connectors are 3ds files, so won't appear in this. After much dispute and alot of changes in my life I've been unable to give this project the attention it needs, after CC left for uni he's been too busy too. It has remained unfinished. I'm not the best at 3d modelling to actually continuing with the work involved left it looking unconsistant and nowhere near how I wanted. I initially was going to scrap it but decided the other day I was still going to release the track. I'm proud of the layout, so I decided to take it aside and polish it up without the scenery. If the scenery does get done at a later date, I'm not ruining suprises now! I know some people might not be happy with this, but to me this is a hobby and I wish to continue making tracks, the way I enjoy making them. So, here, for your riding pleasure I am releasing Silent Shout [Raw Version]. Background In an old manor house in the country a rich family, The Northans were cursed by the spirits that dwelled in the very ground they ripped up to build their home. Tormented by these spirits in their sleep they soon became trapped in their own nightmares. Unable to escape they screamed for help, only to produce a silent shout. Dare you spend a night in the mansion and witness what the family did, will you be able to wake from your slumber. RAW VERSION: This unfinished version contains no additional theming and has been changed to accomodate it. I will hopefully release the full experience when it's ready. In the meantime enjoy the nightmare! Ride Design This is a B&M floorless that takes inspiration from many aspects of B&M design, new and old. I've picked out parts that I feel work well together and added some of my own ideas. This was made entirely using Newton2. ADDITIONAL NOTES -Many many many thanks for LBosch for providing the track connectors and footers. -And many thanks to Andre for helping along the layout as usual and working on the scenery. You guys will see it one day. -You will need track packager to ride -I recommend a back-seat ride . DOWNLOAD FROM EXCHANGE Enjoy and rate. -

^ The roll transition is alot more drawn out. It may be steeper, but look how The Swarm's starts banking right at the bottom. On Kumba you head upwards then hit a quick 360 roll at the top, then make your way down on relatively un-banked track. It also flies through it. Modern zero-gs (well certainly this one) will rotate alll the way from the bottom of the hill to the same point on the other side. It will also hold that zero-g force for a long time, unlike the old ones when it's only in the top portion of the inversion.
