  1. That makes too much sense, so unfortunately it will never be considered
  2. Don't touch the Eagle! ...although I did enjoy the video.
  3. Google STLMAG, great resource for Dining, Entertainment, etc
  4. No complaints here ... Medusa/Bizarro would be an excellent addition to the park. It would draw in huge attendance for sure
  5. No way! If we get one of those Loopers I will get violently ill. One of those things comes every May with the traveling carnival at the South County Mall. People can Ride it there. It will be interesting to see attendance figures between Holiday World (Thunderbird) and SFSTL (JL) next year at this time.
  6. Anyone know SFSTL's attendance number for 2014? seems like all the numbers are out per another post.
  7. I just can't see SFSTL exceeding 9 coasters. The park is not that big nor do I think corporate would want it that 'big' either. Just a hunch.
  8. My reasoning for scrapping the Ninja are these: 1. The Ninja's current footprint would be perfect for a new Station and Lift Hill. The new coaster's layout could enter the east side of the park, plenty of room for any type of Element imaginable. 2. The Ninja has been here since the Mid 80's, it's shelf life is done.
  9. I also vote for just Topper Track and new Trains, although adding a Barrel-roll where the Bunny Hills are (behind the station) would be pretty awesome . The Layout is great ... just smooth it out. Do Not touch Screamin' Eagle! Replace the Ninja with a new or used B&M Floorless Multi-Element (something like Kraken or Scream), then SFSTL's coaster line-up would be complete.
  10. I have an old souvenir postcard booklette, it had pics of a lot of defunct rides - Super Sports car ride, Mine Train (right side), etc. Plus I have a article cutout from the Belleville News Democrat of the opening of Jet Scream - 1980 ?? If I find 'em, I will do my best to post them here. Also I have some pictures of the old Haunted House (early 80's) and general misc. I need to start digging
  11. It appears Thunderbird is back to being fully operational Glad they got it back up and running, but it was very frustrating to have it down all day Saturday (including the Voyage). My family went for my daughter's Choir Competition, we were all looking forward to riding it. No such luck. On a good note, her choir placed 1st and 2nd in two categories.
  12. Who would play games Before and After a ride on the Eagle ??? One trip through a game area is enough. Re-open the queue like it was. It makes no sense.
  13. Do they still route the Entrance and Exit through that games area? That never made sense to me. Then to leave the first Queue Station abandoned, why?? If they were going to remove it for a new Flat or something then I would understand, but I imagine it is still there serving no purpose.
  14. Absolutely! I remember when they used to pump A/C into the queue houses as well. Glad to hear the Eagle is running well.
  15. Say what??? you are getting our Parks crossed
  16. way too soon to make judgement. it is a dark ride, so don't base any opinion on a quick video with the lights on, and still under construction.
  17. Why/how would it fail?? I am sure it will be a huge hit for the regular crowd. I am not convinced, however, if it is really what the park needs. We will see if it boosts attendance, time will tell. What the park needs is to have fewer broken things. Hannibarrels was the huge eyesore, and it's now tremendously improved. This can be nothing but good for them. It should save on maintenance costs vs. Scooby-Doo in addition to fitting the DC Plaza theme and really sealing the immersion there. I vote the park keep up this practice of replacing old, broken rides and at the same time renovating the whole ride area. The park really has improved over the course of the past 10 years, agreed. It will be interesting to see how Holiday World compares with SFSTL this 2015 season ... flashy new coaster vs flashy new dark ride.

  19. It is a load bearing Sign, they can't remove it
  20. Don't Reply all at once! guess they are all over on Holiday World's forum discussing, Well... a coaster
  21. Nice Construction Photo Walkthru over at Negative-G. ...and a little Boss discussion at the end. www.screamscape.com
