  1. All I'm saying is if you and your buds were looking for something to do on a Friday night and had $10/$20 bucks in your wallet, then going to Six Flags was a cheap and easy thing to do.
  2. Great to see the video. Rode Jet Scream too many times while it was here. Too bad our model didn't have the trees that show in the video, as it definitely had a very temporary look to it here. The Ninja also has the temporary look (imo) and it is going on about 30 years! ugh
  3. $5 gets me into every Six Flags park in the world an unlimited amount of times for an entire month with free parking. What are you on about? In the 80s, the 5 dollar admission did not require a membership or season pass.
  4. It was my first looper too. Though it was fun, I always thought it was a bit short. I suppose you remember Railblazer too. I rode it once or twice (after the accident). It was rather lame. I remember $5 tix after 5 promotions. Ahh, those were the days when you didn't need a whole bunch of cash to visit the park for a few hours.
  5. The Home Page of TPR showcases a video of Looping Star in Japan. SFSTL (over Mid America) had the same coaster in the early 80s called Jet Scream, it was located where Batman stands today. I think it (Jet Scream) was relocated to Astroworld and later scrapped.
  6. Most of the other parks somewhat care about theming, ours doesn't. Just look at the Screampunk District area coming to SFOG that was announced yesterday and the Boardwalk area that's being worked on at SFMM. I think we have the potential to have cohesively themed areas, but we just don't. It doesn't have to be in-depth, it's really just about being creative and improving guest experience, but that all just comes down to effort. ugh ... just leads me to think SFSTL is such an afterthought to Corp. 'yeah, just give STL a spinny ride and call it ... hmm ... Supergirl ... done and done'. 'Now back to the Magic Mountain discussion!'
  7. I gotta wonder if Corp even knows the Park's 50th actually is. Supergirl !? ... ugh, awful awful name. It doesn't fit in that area at all. Can't Corp spend a few more minutes and be a bit more creative?
  8. Get a good night sleep y'all ... so you can celebrate tomorrow's announcement. There will be dancin' in the streets I tell ya
  9. It's an easy statement to say when no other news has been announced this year, unless I missed something. You have missed a few things like the world’s tallest dive coaster (Yukon Striker) at Canada’s Wonderland and the world’s tallest inversion/North America inversion record (Steel Curtain) at Kennywood. I doubt the Six Flags announcement will have anything close to topping those two coasters. Plus there’s the $20 million Mack at Carowinds that will be announced on Aug 30th as well. I was referring to local park news.
  10. It's an easy statement to say when no other news has been announced this year, unless I missed something.
  11. And it appears Georgia Scorcher may get converted (floorless) too
  12. All those seem very plausible, probably spot on.
  13. Have you ever taken a look at SFSTL's antique car layout? If not, take a look and then you may want to reassess your 'Worst' comment. SFSTL's Moon Cars had a great layout back in the day (original attraction), then it got neutered/shortened when they built the picnic area ... then it got neutered/shortened again when American Thunder was built. It is ridiculously short with no themeing, none. It is a wonder why they continue to operate the attraction (ha if you can call it that).
  14. They just got the thing up and running, no way are they moving Shazam. I predict we will get a used Flat (yes, prob that one from Dallas) to go in Fling's spot. That's it.
  15. Looks like they used Primered Drywall on that facade. No doubt they did it on the Cheap.
  16. We can take the Stand Up Trains from SFA and put them on the Ninja!
  17. ... Still waiting for the year when they finally scrap The Ninja ...
  18. A Park getting SFSTL's hand-me-downs ... now that is funny.
  19. At this point, I'd be happy just to get back Shazam (check), Colossus, Xcalibur, Typhoon Twister, Joker, all six cars on Superman, a fully functioning Justice League, a replacement for Highland Fling... our standards have been lowered! Who's up for Colossus: Reverse Blast? Even The Joker is down? ugh
  20. Few weeks away from announcement time ... what are the rumors circulating around SFSTL, if any?
  21. It is my guess our park is insignificant compared to the other larger parks in the chain. Six Flags St Louis is an afterthought at the Corporate level. If I am wrong then that's fine but that the way it appears to me. I wish the park was owned locally.
  22. Boomerang has been running exceptionally well this season, outside of only a couple days it has ran everyday this season reasonably reliably. Glad it is running well then, thanks for the Info.
  23. Sounds like the Park needs to close for a week and try to reboot the 2018 season. Is 'Boomerang' ever open??? What a lemon of a coaster
  24. That's simple, what is there to 'tease' about? Removing the Double Helix from the Boss? Opening a new Waterslide late, only to close it for a few weeks on its opening day.
