  1. I would like the Ninja better if it had a different name and a different location.
  2. Who the F*** is that tool? I would lay down on the train tracks if I had to hang out with that guy for an entire morning. Where's Johnny Fever!
  3. Seeing the results of GCI's Refurb of Ghostrider, I would definitely welcome the same treatment on the Boss.
  4. Yeah... I can see us getting a 4D Coaster next year. Wish it were a custom B&M though
  5. How about Tom's Twister... that was a Barf machine more so than the Fling Ahh, yes, Tom's Twister. Even worse because the barf obeyed centrifugal force and adhered to the walls and everyone else! Yep, It took a lot of bravery and courage to step onto TT
  6. It was late 70's ... the Sky Chuter and the Swings were right next it in those days. How about Tom's Twister... that was a Barf machine more so than the Fling
  7. They could put me in a spinning office chair and strap a phone to my face and it would be more enjoyable than Ninja with VR. I'm all for them scrapping it, and replacing it with grass and flowers. Hell, they can replace it with a concrete slab with picnic tables and it'd be an improvement. I hear ya and feel the same way but the Ninja now has staying power due to the VR trend. That's my take on it anyway
  8. The Chevy Show Bldg needs a new roof... badly
  9. The Ninja isn't going anywhere, it's SFSTL's VR coaster
  10. I have ridden both and thought they were very similar, not much difference at all
  11. No it wasn't. The Atari 2600 was released September 11, 1977. Screamin' Eagle opened April 10, 1976. Yes, I will stand up for facts. Yes, you could have Googled that like I did and could have presented correct facts to prop up your straw man argument. Yes, it's a straw man argument because whether people used microwave ovens and 8-track casettes has nothing whatsoever to do with the subject at hand. Ask any normal people (or "GP" if that makes you feel better about yourself) to name a coaster at SFStL, and the two answers you'll get most often are Screamin' Eagle and Batman. That's what makes something a signature item. Not the best, most popular, whatever. It's the thing they're known for. The Big Mac is McDonald's signature item. It's what they're known for. There. End of stupid discussion. Let's get back to complaining about Ninja and whining about Georgia taking our hyper coaster. Your fact checking skills are better than mine, you win. I will know better next time when I describe the age of SFSTL's 41 year old woodie.
  12. God, I love Eagle. The Eagle is great, however can a coaster hold its Signature status for over 40 years? To me, and probably many other locals, the answer is No. Remember, the Atari 2600 was the emerging leading edge home tech when the Eagle opened, and the Microwave was a luxury item. 8-tracks were still being installed in Cars.
  13. It's been awhile since I have read some good SFSTL bashing ...Just like old times. Makes me wonder if we ever got that Signature coaster, would the bashing stop??? hmmm, not sure
  14. Blues Blanked the Pens last night, for the life of me I can't figure them out
  15. Didn't ever think I would hear you say that! I doubt I'll go more than a couple times, including HITP, but I'm also starting to get a bit more practical as I get older. 65 bucks for at least two trips to our park and a trip to SFGam is a pretty solid deal. That and the five years off really made a difference. Trump is President, Cubs win the World Series... maybe the Blues will win the Cup this year. (doubtful with their playing as of late)
  16. Nah, it will be surviving cast of the Brady Bunch selling Yogi Bear Posters.
  17. Lawn Mower, Leaf Blower, Snow Shovel, Assorted Lawn Tools... the normal stuff
  18. They started out the gate great, however they are stumbling now. Perron's hat trick was awesome. As stated it is early though. Zack... with the Cubs and Indians in the World Series then St Louis winning the Cup is not that far fetched, or new Steel finally gracing Eureka's Skyline for that matter. hahaha
  19. I can only imagine how hard it would be to hire, rely and retain staff employees at Six Flags, I am sure it is not an easy task. Especially when it is hot as hades or when the park is filled like sardines during FF.
  20. We went Saturday, my son, nephew and myself. We didn't get the Haunted House passes but did enjoy the atmosphere. I haven't been to our park in 4 years probably, we had a great time. Eagle ran wonderfully, as well as American Thunder. The Boss hasn't changed, rough as hell and not very enjoyable. We did the extra wait and did the VR thing on the Ninja... it was okay, once is enough. Mr. Freeze was awesome too. The new rides over the past few years have filled out many of the dead spots around the park. In my opinion the park is in great shape.
  21. You cannot compare Universal/Disney to any Six Flags park. And what you are saying/writing is nothing we don't already know.
  22. I am beginning to think it will take a EF5 tornado to tear up first the park for that to happen
  23. this has got to be the strangest thread on the forum. People upset and arguing, getting banned... and now being hijacked by Knott's Berry Farm
