  1. Why would you hope that it is just a rumor? Maybe Captain EO is an okay show, but the Imagination ride is terrible IMO.
  2. I was at a filming for season three, and I only scored one coaster (The Boss). I think the scoring system is the best it is ever going to get. I think the winning coaster looked like it deserved the win. There were only a few surprises in the results to me.
  3. Six Flags is putting a new attraction in every park every year it looks like. SFSTL doesn't seem to be getting anything big next year. However, one of those new Aqua Twists would be cool for the park, and apparently SF has trademarked the name. An addition to the water park seems like a possibility too. I wonder if an Aqua Twist would work to replace the Hannibarrells...
  4. Final Standings for Season Two 1. Intimidator 305 2. New Texas Giant 3. Formula Rossa 4. Leviathan 4. Shambhala: Expedición al Himalaya 6. Expedition GeForce 7. Maverick 8. Dodonpa 9. Skyrush 9. Tatsu 11. Griffon 11. X2 13. Superman: Ride of Steel 14. Nitro 15. Superman Escape 16. Colossus 16. Titan 17. Volcano, The Blast Coaster 18. Magnum XL-200 19. Katun 20. iSpeed 21. Furius Baco 22. Takabisha 23. Behemoth 24. Tower of Terror II 25. Blue Fire 26. X-Flight 27. Batwing
  5. I think either a winged or an inverted coaster would be a nice addition to the park, and neither would really be "ground-breaking".
  6. Wow! Great pictures! Hopefully Springfield is finished by next Sunday when I visit, but I'm not counting on it.
  7. God that article is horribly written: "The Texas Giant was built by a German amusement ride company." "The Texas Giant was built by a company from Ohio." WFAA
  8. Now this is just a strange idea in my head: Is YOLOplaza large enough for a water pool in the center? What if a wing coaster soared up through the YOLOcoaster loop and had sort of a splashdown element right in the middle of the plaza, then continued up a hill going across the other side of the plaza?
  9. Don't quote me on this, but I have heard that in 2015 the park will be getting another Bolliger & Mabillard coaster that will be the by far the most expensive project to date for the park. Could it be the first 4th dimension coaster by B&M? Or just a normal wing coaster (which would still be a great coaster). Also, what about an inverted coaster? Would the cost of one be more than what the park paid for Wildfire?
  10. After spending the money to buy new parts for a ride, I don't see it being replaced for another couple of years. Also, considering how long the Boss is, it would be considerably cheaper to build a complete new coaster (like Outlaw Run), than to give the Boss Iron Horse treatment.
  11. Just got back from a 4-day Silver Dollar City trip. Instead of trying to remember the exact order of what I went on, I'll just make comments on everything in the park we saw/rode. Flooded Mine- I think we rode twice. A fun, classic ride with lots of cool little touches. Thunderation- One of my top mine trains, behind only Thunder Mountain. Lots of exciting moments, but the last drop is very anticlimactic. Blown Glass Factory- Pretty much one of the most amazing things you'll see, the whole demonstration is captivating and awe-inspiring. Definitely the best craftsmen shop in the park. The Grand Exposition- Definitely the worst area in the park. Even if the park needed more family rides (which IMO, they didn't), this whole area is kind of cheap and tacky. It's like they slapped a traveling carnival inside and forced them to stay forever. But it doesn't matter, the area still attracts a large percentage of the families with younger children. Electro Spin is the only ride worth waiting for at all. Stunt Dog Show- Really cool to watch. Some cool stunts, but they wouldn't stop blasting cheesy music about dogs that were super annoying. Wacky Science- Pure awesomeness. Random explosions, jokes, toilet paper fights, and science were included and they all added to the experience. Geyser Gulch- One of the hidden gems of the park. Definitely worth a trip if you have an hour to spare. Time flies when you are blasting things with water and shooting foam balls. Lost River- Pretty much the worst raft ride I've ever been on. Nobody got wet except for when people shot us with water cannons. Is something supposed to be inside the tunnel at the end? It was a really random tunnel. RiverBlast- It's a blast for anyone on or off the ride. I found a place where I could shoot both people on the ride and people off the ride who were shooting people on the ride. Barn Swing- It is actually one of the only rides that I've been on that still scares me. It is an adrenaline rush. Outlaw Run- Best. Coaster. Ever. Short but speedy, twisty, and a whole lot of fun. Saloon Show- A funny, but cheesy, show. The whole saloon experience is cool and is better than any show at Six Flags by a long shot. Fire-in-the-Hole- This ride is really growing on me. It's cheesy, yes, but the sudden drops and classic lines said by the characters make this a fun coaster. more to come soon
  12. I didn't say management won't add any new coasters. I just said that the park seems to already have a good variety of coasters. I wasn't trying to be rude or anything, but I guess my post came across as such.
  13. Um, SFMM does not need ANY new coasters for the next few years. Maybe Iron Colossus. Or a few flats. That is all.
  14. No, when an episode is named "World's Fastest Coaster" or "World's Steepest Coaster", it doesn't mean all the coasters are fast or steep, just that one episode in the episode is one of those. Like when Formula Rossa was in the first episode, none of the other coasters were really that fast.
  15. If they were to be setting up across the street from the park or back in that area behind Thanksgiving would we even be able to see any construction yet?
  16. A launched wooden coaster or a racing wooden coaster would be amazing additions to the park. I'd love to see RMC take a shot at them.
  17. What about Boomerang, Screamin Eagle, and Mr Freeze? It's only enforced on 5 roller coasters( American Thunder, Batman, Boss, Mine Train, and Pandemonium). Forgot about those. Either way, if someone has never been to SFSTL before they may not know which ones require lockers.
  18. It is ridiculous to me that parks have lockers outside attractions. That is one of the reasons I like SDC. At SFSTL you have to buy lockers to store stuff for every roller coaster except for Ninja.
  19. 1 hour at the max. It should stay around 15 minutes most of the day though.
  20. 4, if you count Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast as a new credit.
  21. I took my family to an Insane Coaster Wars shoot for the Boss. I told them what scores I gave it and they said "You gave it a zero for inversions? We gave it 100." They didn't know what inversions meant.
  22. Updated ICW Ranking 1. Intimidator 305- 915 2. New Texas Giant- 883 3. Formula Rossa- 875 4 (tie). Leviathan- 866 4 (tie). Shambhala- 866 6. Expedition GeForce- 861 7. Dadonpa- 856 8 (tie). Skyrush- 855 8 (tie). Tatsu- 855 10. Griffon- 843 11. Superman: Ride of Steel- 833 12. Nitro- 831 13 (tie). Colossos- 826 13 (tie). Titan- 826 15. Tower of Terror II- 779 16. Blue Fire- 738 Dadonpa ranked too high and Expedition GeForce, Nitro, and Blue Fire ranked too low IMO.
