Carowinds 70's Theme Song?????
WayCool64 replied to kitkat12's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Whoa! It does sound a lot like Great America's old carousel song! Maybe it was the same people? Who knows. -
I know this is sort of a nitpick theming-wise but.. where the heck is Ed, Edd n Eddy? That was one of my favorite Cartoon Network shows, and they're not part of this new water park, and yet Johnny Bravo, the Powerpuff Girls, and Kids Next Door (which have all been off the air for quite sometime) are? Ah well, the park still looks awesome anyway.

So now that the Spongebob 3D ride will soon be gone, I can only hope that they'll keep in the motion seats for the new ride instead of discarding them like what they did to the other Action Theaters. Yes, there is a new Spongebob 4D ride in the works (though it's not going to play here). It's called The Great Jelly Rescue, and from what I'm hearing it's kind of similar to the original film (except this time you're after jellyfish instead of a pickle). I also did hear a rumor that it was supposed to have a multiple choice thing like in Star Tours 2. This is the only info I know about it so far from Simex-iWerks: http://www.simex-iwerks.com/Default.asp?id=4&l=1&mcat_pid=155

I believe it was called Secrets of the Lost Temple (and no it had nothing to do with Indiana Jones). And Hanna Barberra came in 2006 and was removed the year after. Don't forget that Days of Thunder returned in 04-05. I'm not sure when Superstition debuted, but I do remember seeing it in fall of 2006 along with Fun House Express.

Your first Arrow Dynamics coaster
WayCool64 replied to stashua123's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Either the Matterhorn at Disneyland or Psycho Mouse at CGA. -
Okay, while I understand your statement, it still seems pretty low point to have a white water rafting film in there (especially given the previous films were a bit more dynamic). If they didn't want to reuse one of their old films, couldn't they have found a better ridefilm from Simex-iWerk's library? Now I'm not trying to bash the idea of a white water rafting film being as a replacement, even if this rumor's true I'll still go see it. But it just seems too basic for a replacement to something like Spongebob 3D (at least in my opinion).

Well then why would Cedar Fair even bother to add in a virtual white water river rafting film in there anyway? It doesn't sound innovative, and it doesn't sound like a fun experience for a ride like the Action Theater (especially if we already have Rip Roaring Rapids). If Cedar Fair didn't care so much, they would've removed all the Action Theaters when they first got the parks!

My thoughts exactly. Or maybe bring the Hanna Barberra film back, that one was cool too. Or at least something that was previously used in that theater (with the exception of Days of Thunder perhaps since the park isn't owned by Paramount anymore). -_- those movies are out dated why would Cedar Fair use them after they dropped every Paramount theme? Cedar Fair will never bring them back Um.. last time I checked, almost all the movies weren't owned by Paramount. They were owned by different companies (most notably iWerks).

Um.. hi there. I'm still kinda new to these fourms and I've been watching this topic for quite sometime since CGA is my nearest theme park, and I wanted to see when the right time was for me to come in, and right now seems the perfect time. I am pretty happy to hear that the Action Theater may get a new ridefilm and not end up like all the other Action Theaters with their Dinosaurs Alive show. I will admit, I am a big motion simulator/4D film nerd (in fact I'm planning to do a couple of reviews for some of these rides), and the Action Theater is one of my favorite rides at CGA (along with Flight Deck being my favorite coaster). I'll also admit, while I love Spongebob 3D, it has begun to age and dare I say.. it may have gotten a little overrated (I'm very interested to see what its upcoming sequel will look like), so seeing something new in the theater would be interesting, however it would've been cool to see one of their previously used films (kinda like when they brought back Days of Thunder in 2004-05, but perhaps instead use 7th Portal or the Temple film or even the Hanna-Barberra film) instead of using a river rafting one.

2013- What are you most excited for?

Gold Striker and the YOLOcoaster! 'nuff said (at least for me)! -
What is your next park?
WayCool64 replied to onewheeled999's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm probably going back to California's Great America since it's the park I usually visit. But next summer I'll probably head down to SFMM (I usually head down to SoCal every summer). -
Hi there, I'm Max. I live near the Bay Area in California. I've been visiting this site for a long time. I wanted to join a while back, but I sorta procrastinated on that. But now I'm here, so I'll just hope for the best! Of course I'm a big theme park nerd. The nearest park to my hometown is California's Great America (which I usually visit a lot). Usually every summer I head down to the SoCal parks (this year I went to Universal). When it comes to coasters, I'll ride any (except for the painful ones, I'll pass). It's really hard to figure out which is my favorite, so I'll just put in my top 5. 5. The Demon (California's Great America) 4. The Giant Dipper (Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk) 3. Revenge of the Mummy (Universal Studios Hollywood) 2. Flight Deck (CGA) 1. Space Mountain (Disneyland) Other than theme parks, I also like movies and video games (in fact, I'm wanting to do a video game fanfilm). My most favorite movie genre is animation and I also like Spielberg's works (in fact, he's the reason why I want to make movies). And for video games, I usually like the classics (I own both a Sega Genesis and a Super Nintendo). But I also like the modern games too. Though not really a big fan on FPS or RPGs, I'm more of a platformer kind of guy (like the Mario games). Anyway, I'm kind of still new to fourms. So I'll try my best to fit in. And I hope I have a good time here.
