Besides, there's still a chance that the park could be doing another "one wet one wild" type of deal. Doug did say to expect this season to be very similar to the last one. But even if we don't get any new dry rides, we have the new RoS train, that could be really awesome for the ride! I'm just curious if they're going to keep the red and/or blue color scheme on it. Whether it's the slide and the train alone or the slide the train and another ride, I think 2016 is gonna be a great year for the park!

"Overall, things are starting to kick into high gear, and you’ll start to now see big things happen. Station platform footers are being finished, park utility lines are being connected and moved, and of course, the lift hill is now going vertical. Weather permitting, we’ll be lifting steel now through January/February, so keep an eye on the webcams and the construction gallery for videos and photos." This was on the construction blog (that i'm surprised they haven't really used at all...). it doesnt really give a specific time as to when the steel work will be done but I'd be impressed if it was done in 3 weeks or so like CoasterLine mentioned. It would be crazy to see how quickly things are gonna start to move if "the first or second week of February" thing is true! -

It looks like they have cables attached to the first half of the loop, I'm assuming those are just there until the maneuver is completed, but my question is where are they mounted? And what is the specific purpose? (Holding back the track, supporting the track, stabilizing the track, etc...?) -

I never thought I'd see the day where the Darien Lake thread is less insane than the Cedar Point thread. Nice job guys! -

1-3 inches scares you? There's a terrible joke in here, I just know it... Yeah, I won't comment on that...but they are predicting that our area could get measurable snow in the feet (versus inches) throughout this week. Yes, that is scary considering what South Buffalo went through last year (6-7 feet in less than 24 hours). Though it was a lot of snow, the ones who were faced with it were able to manage, and in my area alone it really brought out the best of people, who were all helping one another to get through Snowvember together! They don't call us the city of good neighbors for nothin'! But with that, it makes 1-3" look like nothing compared to the 9'+ snowdrifts that you could find out in Depew (just east of the city). I'm glad Mother Nature gave us a break after that winter though! -
^ Hopefully we'll here more on that when the 2016 announcements are made. That's one thing I wish Darien would do that it never really has - to my knowledge. Release an announcement date of some sort. It seems simple enough but that's coming from an inexperienced coaster enthusiast who has had about zero experience in marketing and PR... I'm just saying it would be nice to have that one date to look forward to versus "could be anytime between January 1st and May 7th, 2016"

does anyone by chance have pictures of those pastel colored flags on the CP midway? I'm doing a project that involves them but I cant find any good pictures of them! All I have so far is this: Any help would be greatly appreciated! -
Man. I did not think they'd put those pieces THAT far back! They must know how much a certain TPR member loves the slides and wanted to be sure they wouldn't come and take the pieces or something!! But on a more serious note, are those green rectangles the old fright night field trip busses? I'm surprised they'd just have them sitting there in the grass. That can't be good for the well being of those vehicles... Especially if they haven't been used in so long

Cedar Point Recently Shared this amazing shot of Raptor! B-E-A-utiful! Also, they have put out a new video, as part of their mini series the "Valravn Minute" -
^ What extra charge attraction do they really need? They've got a skycoaster and a sling shot! Unless they get something like CP's Skyscraper, I think they're set in the up charge thrill ride attractions. Not to mention they have the paddle boats and those cool trikes. I heard people saying they'd like it if they had like a fountain or something in there but I could see that becoming an issue. I liked them. Really calm and relaxing. I loved being able to see the rides from that unique perspective. And to get so close to the RedHawk is pretty awesome too. I'm assuming if they're getting something big it will be in the ole Cuda area. If it's a simple flat, or even if it's insanely awesome but smallish. We could see it either between twister and motocoaster, In rangers old spot, or there is some land between the mind eraser and grizzly. And let's not forget about the RoS dead end issue. I feel like that's a serious overhaul type of situation though - so I wouldn't expect much over there soon, in my opinion. And with the love already being given to RoS with the new train. I'm almost wondering if that means they will add something across the park to kind of balance out the "New for 2016" goodness, or if they want to focus solely on RoS and the surrounding area. The next few years should be really interesting for park development!

^ they also could be waiting because of the nasty winds they had over the past few days. I live in WNY, a little northeast of the park and we always get the weather from around Cleveland. Over the past couple days we've had constant winds of 30 mph and one day parts of the area had gusts up to 70 mph. Can't really see that on a camera... Maybe that's why they've held up on lift hill construction? I'm not sure how the winds are doing now. It was a bit calmer over here in Buffalo today. But it looks like the forecast does call for some more gusty winds this week. That could be a pain when you're trying to build a 223 foot tall lift hill.. -
So, I just realized. I had the old Darien Lake app for a few years and I noticed after a little while that the App was stuck on the 2013 season. I Looked into it and I saw that the app was taken off of the App Store all together, im not sure totally as to when... Since DarienLake.com is getting a revamp as Doug said... Is there any talk about creating a new app potentially?

Is the TTD job still a 2 year project? It seems like they're FLYING by with this great weather! I'm not sure how much they actually have done but based on the pictures it looks like they really have made some awesome progress!
