I agree with RideOfSteel. Being a regular to SFGAdv (not a season pass holder, but at least 2 trips a summer). I have to say that I do enjoy SFNE. It may have changed over the years, but so if life! Sometime things need to go down a little bit prior to it moving back up an upswing! Im sure the park will continue to build a new vision and lead into the future nicely!

Alton Towers Discussion Thread

I don't think they would put something in its place as boring as a short top tower... then again, a drop tower that slips you upside down and drops you head first.. that could be interesting... since its so short, you really won't get the high negative G's... Let the Dreamers dream. -
Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread

I really don't think Hershey is worried about money. Over the past years we have seen major addition after major addition. I would much rather see them build it some place else. Down by Wildcat and Lighting Racers needs more non water rides to balance out the park and draw more people farther in -

There is so much testing that needs to get done... plus the crew needs to go back and make sure everything is tight and ready for trains to roll past! -

Yea, I don't know about you, but I would be kicking butt to be finished with an outdoor project! -

I always took a Carousel turn as a flat turn (like Bizarro at SFGAdv) while a helix bent up or down (like Nitro at SFGAdv)... of course, that idea is ruined by this ride... so I think it's interchangeable. -

Stared at the WebCam for a while... I do think we are seeing progress being made today! Now here is a question.... the SoB station was never knocked down... could we be seeing it used for a future project? There is a TON of land behind Banshee now to expand... could this be our Giga Station if we get one in the future? I could see a ride go out the station, up a hill and turn around to run towards Racer and then come back... lets hope for future expansion!! -

yea... I disagree... I think that B&M said "this is the train design, its full of (TPR Pun) "New Hotness" Are there any new rides that have opened recently by B&M that have the old style OTSR? I feel like the change happened a year or 2 ago and I have not seen anything new come out with old design... -
Yup, much better!!! Interesting how the crane is sort of behind the ride, I would have thought it would be closer to the front... Interesting how they are redesigning the tower though... Clearly this was not in the original design at all... would have been interesting to see Intamin plan ahead a little lol! Can not wait to see what those supports behind are for!

No, the track looks to be the same dimensions as other B&M inverts... it really is that massive. -
true. I think something we do need to keep in mind is that this ride is more than just the steel on the tower. remember this project started wight he removal of RT. I'm sure there has been some infrastructure in that area of the park redesigned/built to accommodate the new area. Its quite large when you realize how far the pathway needs to go to get to the back of the tower...

No, it was pretty severe. Plus, I'm sure there are concerns about the retrofitting to the structure. It seems that some of the support columns will need to be replaced, meaning the structural integrity needs to be temporarily weakened. I'm sure we will see quick movement in the next month! Of course, then again, this is Six Flags we are talking about... it may be a while...

I don't think we will see and inversion quantity record being broken hear... but the idea of Giga looper is pretty cool! It would be great to see someone like B&M go down this road... with the newer style of restraints we have seen on wing riders and Banshee, we could easily do this without having too high of a head banging problem! -
Knowing how Six Flags likes to do things, I find if hard to believe that we would be seeing that large piece of land turned completely into an area for Baboons. Baboons don't make money for the park... I'm sure we will see a small Baboon area (maybe an acre or so) and the rest will be pathway and future expansion...

Oh man, it has got to suck to be up in a box hanging from a crane in this weather! Can not wait to see this thing fly! -

I am going to say yes. I see the crane is up in the webcam! If not the whole thing, at least the first half! -
The same reason I think we will see many things leave before their time is up! Zamparela is using Coney Island to test out new products! Its a great venue for it, since the History of Coney Island has always been innovation. Plus, us New Yorkers are quite blunt on telling you weather we like something or not... **Praying for a Drop tower of some sort!**
