I also hate how the news article brings in the fact that he's a veteran. He's not wearing a X Marine shirt for an FDNY or NYPD shirt it really has nothing to do with the military except for the fact that it has a gun on it... Don't use the fact that he's a veteran to make everyone else feel bad about the situation, he shouldn't of want it in the first place to the park

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

I was on steel force once when the lift stopped for about twenty minutes. When they fixed the problem they sent someone up to the train to let us know that they fixed the problem, the ride was safe and they were about to start the lift back up, just so no one freaked out when it suddenly started moving after twenty minutes of just sitting there... Seems like it was just an off day for the park... -
Yet a 300 pound women can walk around in a bikini top and her thong hanging over the top of her jean shorts... I can't... Edit: I truly don't understand why people don't think about what they put on before they go a "family theme park." It truly blows my kind sometimes what people where to SFGAdv...

Also keep in mind, didn't they just invest some 33 million into purchasing more land?!? -

I have to agree with all that Martin is saying... We also need to keep in mind that we have seen NOTHING other than what is going on inside the ride building... We may be looking at a fully interactive queue with games and such while waiting on line. If it's done correctly, I could easily see them spending 1.5-2 million on just that. Also, we don't know if the cost includes relocating other rides in the area to make room! Every park seems to quote the cost to the public differently... -

Just because a logo can be made quick doesn't mean it's a bad logo though... Look at some examples: super dooper looper, nitro, el toro, wind seeker, gate keeper... All relatively simple but very well thought out, balanced and legible! -

Could this possibly be the end for the wild mouse to make room for water park expansion? -

Laff Track! Not the best name, but it looks like a great addition to the park, let's just hope they do a better job at keeping the special effects going better than six flags and there dark knight coasters -

I'm going to agree with those saying SFFT. SFOT, and SFGAdv are just too big of parks to put something with such a small rate of people per hour into their parks... -
I agree. I think that we will continue to see six flags, who traditionally goes for low maintenance rides, convert and build RMC rides, and see companies that traditionally take care of their rides (the relativity small parks) go down the tradition wooden coaster designs. We also need to keep in mind that the new RMC designs are a trending fad right now, just as arrow corkscrews were in the late 80s early 90s and how stand ups were in the mid 90s and flying coasters were in the early '00s. That's not saying that no one will build any of those types in the future again, but it's clear that the industry seems to go thrown phases of "new hotness"

The GP has no idea about that, though Even if they did, explain Behemoth and Leviathan at CW, or Lightning a Racers and Wildcat at HP, or Raven and The Legend at HW. It's been done before in the industry and has seemed to work out just fine! Granted, this would be going in the opposite direction (as all of those projects were small then big) but than again, Maverick came after getting TTD, El Toro came after Kingda Ka... I highly doubt RMC as well, they seem to have a lot on the it plate already next year...

Could it be the trims and the slower lift hill? They didn't slow down the lift until the second year....
