  1. ^ Haha, yes! I always love it when I get off a ride and some of the GP is freaking out. I notice it more often with teenage girls. "OMG I was literally flying like, out of my seat!"
  2. ^Yep! Took a 14 hour drive to Florida in April. Do you have a season pass to more than one park this year?
  3. On a picture that SFOT posted of Shockwave: So....she got pulled out of her seat, but she didn't get pulled out of her seat? On a picture of Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast: Now for some random ignorant GP quotes (still from SFOT): Because New Texas Giant isn't new enough, apparently. The last part is particularly amusing. No comment necessary.
  4. ^ I honestly can't say for sure. The day that we went was overcast and a little rainy, so crowds were light. The wait was only about 5-10 minutes for all of the coasters. It isn't a very large park, so I would think that on busier days it would definitely fill up fast. I would recommend getting there at opening. Montreal has an AMAZING public transportation system. There is a free bus that runs from the nearest metro station to the park gates (a couple of miles if you were to walk) in the summer.
  5. Here's me and my husband at La Ronde. Serial Thriller was the only coaster from SFAW that I never got to ride, so we came to ride Ednor: L'attaque. Aaaaand here's me in front of Goliath at SFFT.
  6. Hey there, I'm narkitty. The first theme park that I ever went to was Fiesta Texas in 1992, when I was about 18 mos. old. I've been going to SFOT and SFFT every year since then. I got really into roller coasters when I was about 7 years old. I was really, really tall for my age so I got to ride all of the "big kid" rides while my classmates were still stuck on mine trains and the like. Now, I live in San Antonio and visit SFFT a few times a week. I'm hoping to visit a lot more parks in the future, but for now I'm happy with my home park(s).
  7. ^ La Ronde is a nice park. Certainly not the most thrilling as rides are concerned, but I enjoyed it. Montreal is an awesome city, so I hope you have fun! My next park will be SFOT on August 1st. No out of state trips on the schedule for me.
  8. ^ You are awesome! Thanks! I am going to be so disappointed if the world ends this December and we never get to see NRAT in action.
  9. ^ I remember hearing about this article, but I never saw the picture. Do you (or anyone else) know if there is a place to see the article online? Option B sounds absolutely fantastic.
  10. Superman Krypton Coaster at dusk last night. Fantastic ride. It's a lot less exciting now that I've been on it over 200 times, but I still get a kick out of riding it.
  11. I'm sure that contruction is going to begin very soon after the 5th. They don't have a very large window of time to finish the renovation, so I defintely don't think they're going to wait around until they make an official announcement. My guess is that they will start "tearing it down" starting with all of the elements that are getting redone. Six Flags usually makes their new ride/attraction announcements in September, so I doubt that we will hear anything official about the renovation until then.
  12. Oh, I totally understand. It's definitely one of my favorite coasters. My husband likes to make fun of me because he says it's a "kiddie ride". I think it's awesome, though! I'm going to the park next week, so I'm going to try sitting where you suggested.
  13. ...you've managed to pique my curiousity. I've been on RM more times than I can count and I never knew that there was a "best" spot. Care to elaborate on what makes it the best?
  14. Just wanted to hop in on all of the Rattler talk. I seem to be in the minority here, but I honestly love the coaster. Sure, it was a lot better in years past, but I still find it to be an enjoyable ride. That being said, I've been anxiously awaiting a refurb ever since they first announced NTAG. Growing up, Rattler was always my favorite coaster (and still my 2nd favorite at SFFT) and now that I've seen the absolutely breath-taking things that RMC did to NTAG, I am practically pissing myself with excitement over the thought of a refurbished Rattler. I go to the park a few times a week, so I will be on the lookout for any developments happening after the 5th. EDIT: Stopped by the park tonight for an hour. I noticed that they've started a countdown in front of Rattler.
