I totally agree. I know a lot of people on the trip wished it was sped up a lot more. Everything about it was fun, but not thrilling. Definitely family friendly, but I wonder if the public get that because of how intimidating it looks. If they sped it up, it could be an incredible ride. I think it could do pretty well in a lot of parks here, we'll see what BGW announces in the next year or so.

I almost won, but failed. Then the person behind me got it. He owes me. -

This is awesome! Going to try it out! 324 minutes left, and RCdude was next to me in line! -

Photo TR: The Ray's do the TPR Europe 2010 trip!
jray21 replied to jray21's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
I'm Back! After finals, graduation, and the holidays, I am finally back to finishing my europe trip report! Sorry it took so long to continue the trip. The photos will be coming really soon, but here are some videos to hold you over until then. The first video (the one contained in this post) is as pointless as the others, but has some fun parts from the Wurzburg Oktoberfest style fair! There is a polka band, tapping of the keg, men straddling and rubbing up against poles, and an incredible double angle shot of Elissa manhandling the massive pole as well!! The second video is of MC Morgan spitting out his TPR rap! -
Amy and I just signed up for the Disneyland 2011 Half Marathon and 5K! I absolutely love this race (even though it is very very expensive), and hope to see some more TPR people like last time! You can register here. Good Luck to everyone who is running at Disney World this weekend! I would have joined you all, but I was hoping to have started a new job by now. Oh well, I will definitely be there for the "Dopey" challenge next year!

The WDW Disney College Program
jray21 replied to jackskellington101's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It's been a while since I was in the program, but all the classes I took were very helpful and opened up a ton of networking opportunities. The networking alone was worth the classes. This site gives you a 360 view of the rooms/apartments. I stayed in both locations and would probably pick Chatham Square, but I have a car. If you don't have a car Vista Way could be a lot better because there are a few stores within walking distance like Walgreens, Wendy's, Chik-fil-A, and a gas station. Chatham Square has nothing within walking distance. However, Chatham Square is newer, and seemed more spread out an relaxing, but that was about 9 years ago so they may have been remodeled and upgraded (but there are no stores within walking distance of Chatham Square). I'm so jealous of everyone that's going. It was a ton of work, but I had the best time in my life. Hopefully someone will be working at my old location, The Great Movie Ride at the Studios! -
Beverly Hills Cop III -which theme park?

I remember when the movie came out and I thought it was so cool that I had been to all of those parks! I need to Netflix that horrible movie again. -
Robb & Elissa go to Park City, Utah!

The Alpine Coaster looks awesome! I wish we could get one here in Tahoe. They tried to at Northstar earlier this year, but there were a lot of 'environmental' concerns and I haven't heard anything since. One complaint was noise. Looks like you guys had a blast! Too bad it's over. -

Looks like a lot of fun! Haven't been there for a while, I am definitely up for a TPR trip there! -

^^we made the mistake of trying to cool off with the tube slide. It must have been 140 degrees in that tunnel, and the water felt like it was 100. It was the first time I was actually happy to get out of the water! -

You and Robb need to write some kind of guide for how to bring a baby/toddler on a theme park trip. I haven't figured it out yet and you guys make it look easy! Step 1: Have a perfect child. (I don't want to have kids because I know the chances of having a kid as cool as KidTums is 1000 to 1) -

HAHA! I totally forgot about that! That was such a close call. I was really surprised she warned me, if she was smart she wouldn't have! -

Our event is probably now Boondocks lore. I wouldn't be surprised if the Skoal Cellar Lounge did more business in that one night than the entire year! That was such an awesome day. Can't wait for the rest of the updates! -
