Best Ride at WDW
jray21 replied to coastermaniac's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My favorites are Splash Mountain and Expedition Everest! -
I'm not nerdy enough to know all of the names of the elements, so I will just put a ride name and an explanation. 1. First drop and roll at the bottom on X2 2. B&M Pretzel Roll (Tatsu) 3. Zero-G style roll at the top of a hill (Heartline Rolls?) Like on Medusa and Scream 4. Airtime 5. Similar to 3, but no loop, on Kawasemi (you transition from one side to another at the top of a hill)

I will be doing a full report soon, but I wanted to let all the people who missed the Knott's day know that they missed one of the absolute best "Bash" days ever! And that's with me only riding 2 coasters the entire day!!!! Ghostrider was definitely running a lot better! Still a little rough, but definitely better than in the past. Xcelerator was still incredible, even after all of these years. As a previous member posted, it really was like there was ERT all day. Xcelerator had about a two train wait. The tours were absolutely incredible! I hope that next year we can walk through the closed attraction, "Great Moments with Jeff Johnson... and Family." The food was really really good (although I was really looking forward to another specialty funnel cake *hint* next year *hint), and the unlimited berry soda at lunch was worth the entire cost of the the event. The T-shirts were amazing as well, and it was super incredibly cool for them to do that for us. The free photo and group photo discount were also an awesome surprise. You could really tell that Knott's tried very hard to put on the best bash and I really think it was! I know that financially they probably took a huge hit that day (there was barely anyone there and pretty much everything was running, including the kids area) but I have already told my family and friends that they have to go visit Knott's the next time they are there. So everyone who was there (and of course everyone on TPR) should seriously tell EVERYONE how awesome Knott's was so that they will do this again next year! In fact, I already talked my sister to pass on one day at Disney for Knott's during Haunt. She doesn't like being scared too much, so hopefully there will be someone there to yell in her ear and freak her out, "KILL YOURSELF!" (inside joke for us in the Q&A session) Speaking of the Q&A session, it was hilarious! It was like a theme park celebrity roast, who's line is it anyway, stand up comedy, and a serious chat about theme parks all rolled into one! Although, I didn't like how Jeff avoided the question (i won't reveal who asked it *Cough* Diabetes *Cough*) about why is he so short. I am also somewhat vertically challenged and would have loved to receive some fellow shorty support . THANKS KNOTT'S, and of course, THANK YOU TPR for an absolutely incredible day! In our picture everyone was covering their face with their hoods so you couldn't really tell who was who! According to the Q&A session yesterday, it is just going through a re-furb and will open up again.

That is amazing given that until very recently, JJ always had to pay to ever get it. -
What an incredible day it was! Superman was really really good, and Apocalypse was absolutely insane! If it ran that good everyday it would definitely be up near the top of TPR thrown polls! Batman was also awesome with the massive amount of fog and lights. Going up the lift hill for RR, it looked amazing. Superman was awesome in the rain, until we started heading down. As we went up the hill you could clearly see the raindrops flying down at 100+ mph (yes science geeks I know the drops aren't going 100, but you know what I mean), and then it looked like something from the Matrix. The raindrops very slowly stopped falling until they were dead stopped in front of your for a split second. Then, they very slowly reversed direction and started slamming into your face at reverse speed. It was really really cool! Those who didn't go really missed out on an incredible day!.

I am not worried at all. The amount hitting the coast is extremely small. It really will have no effect. Radiation is not like cyanide or some other deadly substance. A small dose of cyanide can kill you, a little spike in radiation won't do anything. I bet pumping gas and breathing the fumes does way more harm than the tiny amount of radiation that will hit us, if it does. Remember, rain will nock it into the ocean and disperse it. -
They also better have their candy machines working, or the new GM better have some dollars ready Printed my boarding pass and just packing for my flight tomorrow! Can't wait for all the fun to begin! This is absolutely the best event that TPR puts on! I will be the fat asian with the huge-A camera (ok, so there will probably be a few of us that fit that profile), so don't be creeped out if I start taking pictures of you! See everyone in a few days. Don't forget your dollars for the stri...I mean lockers!

Kings Dominion (KD) Discussion Thread

I hear they are on facebook now. People just need to learn how to be respectful and learn the proper venue to air complaints. Like the candy bar refund question a few years back at WCB. That was totally ridiculous and a waste of time. It's like people honestly think that the leaders and managers of the industry have no clue what they are doing, or what people want. I really hate the era of internet 'professionals.' As for 305 winning, I really can't believe people are complaining about the poll. Who cares if it's not scientific, it's just for fun! Can people seriously not just have fun anymore? There are millions of other popularity polls out their. American Idol, viewers choice, restaurant ratings, hotel ratings, rotten tomatoes, and even Zagat have the same type of polls! And really, who cares if people try to sway polls. If I like something, you can be darn sure I will tell as many people about it as possible. Also, no one is keeping the other side from doing the same thing. Arthur Levine (the author of the poll) even points out that IOA dropped the ball in not getting the vote out. http://themeparks.about.com/od/themeparkbests/ss/Best-Theme-Parks-2010_2.htm -

I totally forgot about those bugs! That was absolute hell! I really can't remember a time in my life when I have had that much fun. TPR is absolutely the greatest group to hang out with. ^^We need Leslie Hall to re-mix that song! -
Food and Fatties of Middle America!
jray21 replied to jray21's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Now it's time for a side trip from our regularly scheduled update. It's time for LESLIE HALL! Ok, so there is some food because it was snack trading night, and while there are not any 'fatties' in this portion of the report, there are a lot of BODY ROLLS!!!! Elissa arranged the most incredible and awesome special guest, Leslie Hall, to hang out with us for a bit. It was a ton of fun and definitely made this one of the most epic moments I've ever had with TPR. There is no better way to start this off, then with a link to the single greatest music video EVER!!!! Well, enough of my rambling, on to the report! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1c2KzJbcGA *I just found a few more pictures and added them at the end* Nothing says a TPR bus ride like a little Yo Gabba Gabba! You can't be serious Elissa! We are really going to meet Leslie Hall?!!!!!!! It's like the twilight zone. We are literally in the middle of nowhere waiting for Leslie Hall. Leslie Hall has arrived! Rich approves of the Body Rolls! High kicks, high kicks, this is how we do it! I've heard the "Braid My Hair" song, now we need a pull my hair song! Mmmm, tasty! Robb gets some cat like lady musk action! She has the best facial expressions! Leslie Hall enjoys the worldwide assortment of snacks. Chew and... ...Pose! Those glasses are awesome! Hold on ladies, time for a snack first. Damn, these are actually really good! NOM NOM NOM! Only Leslie Hall could pull off a sexy pose with a mouth full of Snyder's! So do you come here often? We get smothered in Lady Musk! Leslie Hall meets one of TPR's most famous celebrities, Ice Bat! They became immediate friends. This picture has TPR written all over it! Leslie Hall even got a Dave smile! Dave uses his other hand the activate her tight pants! Robb stares at this picture every night before going to bed. I'm serious. These pretzel bites are amazing. So I can buy these pretzels at Piggly Wiggly? And they have different flavors?! The store is open for business! This is how Leslie Hall rolls. So how much for the vessel of shimmy? I'll take the stripping Leslie Hall pen, and the CD with the scratch and sniff lady musk sticker. (and yes, those were actual items!!!!) She's a cage of spandex! Rich practices his high kicks with the queen of high kicks! Russ' leg hairs quivered and screamed! Leslie Hall bends Robb over and treats him like a little baby kitty. Laura wants to dance in those pants! More vessels of shimmy! Not only was Leslie Hall there, but they also had Mello Yello! Not only did she sign Amy's shirt, but she rubbed it all over her body so that Amy would get some good lady musk on it! Trent has some personal time with Leslie in the corn! Look at those sexy beasts! Leslie teaches Amy how to do the awesome Shazam faces. This is how we do it! For Leslie, Travis definitely will bat from the other side! The poor Yocals at the Skoal Cellar Lounge had no clue what hit them. Thank you Leslie Hall, Elissa and Robb for an incredible unforgettable Glitter Hands night!!! -

This is a live feed from a Japan station. Much better than others I have seen http://live.nicovideo.jp/watch/lv43018790 My family in Japan are all safe, so that's good. It is amazing how organized, prepared, and calm the Japanese people are. They are definitely the most prepared country in the world for this type of disaster. The regularly hold community disaster drills for earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanos. Many places even have hard hats for everyone! -

I've lost a ton of weight on every TPR trip I've done. I wonder why that could be? Saying that, I reckon even if I did like any of the food (how am I going to survive 6 months in Florida???), I still would've lost weight just due to the sheer amount of sweat that this trip brought! Your doing the College Program right? You are going to hate the food because you have employee cafeteria's, and while a vast majority of people like them, they do have a limited menu so the chances of you finding something good is slim. Hey, maybe you can lose enough weight to be able to join the somalia section of Animal Kingdom by the end of the trip! (Yes, the heat was absolutely horrendous on this trip!) There were some people that could have easily sat on 6 of your size hippo's! This -

As far as I remember (it's been a few years), they give you two sets of costumes. If you lose items, then I think they charge you, but the first two are included with the job. They have washer & dryers at the complex, but not in the individual apartments. They are not free, but I don't remember if they are coin or card operated, but hopefully someone with recent knowledge will come along.
