LMAO! Holy hell....shows how scrambled my brain is. Life lesson learned: leave yourself more than one day to pack and clean your apartment before moving 3.5 hours away, or don't try to do it yourself. I drove from Providence, RI to NJ back to RI and back in one day! Mistakes were made.... Well this is good to know. I don't exactly have a ton of $ to spend at the moment I'm being cautious (the reason why I'm moving is going back home after school till I land a job ) and had enough stashed away to do these trips. BUT yeah I know what KI can be like and it seems like even on a weekday things are not looking so good.... ugh will kick myself if it ends up not being needed but I may have to cave and get it. Will wait on some more reports, esp if school crowds die down. And true the ops at KI are legendary. They were some of the best I've seen, no doubt they are trying their asses off but yeah only so much can be done about crowds and idk if they are hit with the shortages as well. Oh and I'm just collecting info, I'll be there on June 7 so if anyone is there/free yeah I'll be there.

On a Monday? oof. How have rides been? Was FL still available at the start of the day? Don't wanna buy one ahead of time and not need it but would be great if I was able to grab one day of!

I'm kinda glad the pouches are gone, I mean I liked it bc didn't need to pay for locker and I was aware of em/did it quick BUT honestly it did seem a bit of a mess. I felt it was slowing things down, and seems to be the case as ops were slower than the year before. I'm glad the lockers are now free (as it should be, I thought it was BS to force you get one, and make ya pay (and when people said well Six Flags does...I never thought that was exactly a good thing lol)) BUT clearly they are messing it up. Agreed, it doesn't need to be a problem they just need to do it right and seems they used to/get it. Really hope they go back to it.... bc yeah its devaluing the (not cheap) cost of FL+ and for real, poor employees can't help it they are doing what they're told, and I know they get a lot of grief. Reminds me of the guy at KD that said he was getting yelled at just for I305 for being down... and oof when there was a locker situation coming off Twisted Timbers some people were giving this poor worker a real s***ty time. At CP I can only imagine how bad they get it...

Im always a proponent of "start with the max. After that nothing can scare/shake you!" BUT I get not all operate that way lol BGT first? Well Sheikra is the least forceful of the B&Ms there. Then Montu, then Kumba which is very forceful and intense. Though after that....you're good, no others in the state will seem so bad

What on Earth? This is sounding like an epic s**t show. Well guess the on ride zipper bags are gone.... yeesh idk why can't they just go back to the first way then? Just have lockers before, no one w phones and stuff on line. Like no doubt people were griping but this seems a total mess, and I guess the guests won't care (quite the opposite) but kinda brutal it seems FL is the one getting the butt end on this, if its resulting in not much different wait times....what is the point? Deff gunna get complaints and rightfully so. It's valid to be miffed, FL is not cheap and you are paying for a service and let's be real its most potent for SV. If they are using a system that currently makes little difference in wait times, that FL+ $ is not being put to use. I'd be pretty steamed myself. lol one made a Six Flags jab. I won't lie, I tend to crap on Six Flags parks but for once, gotta say no SV employee has a right to really make that joke, they seem to be flubbing this hard lol Esp with this poorly done closing lines early. Not that it's there fault they are following the park orders, as someone said the employees are being put in terrible situations but wow CP get it together! I did think the Twisted Timbers locker system was weird as well, it too had lockers near the staircase and it seemed to muck things up overall. The line was just so slow and it seemed to revolve around those lockers. I remember thinking really wish they just made us get one at the start. This whole mid line locker thing seems to not be the best way.

Speaking of, still too far away but seems its still sub 80, partly cloudy, low chance of rain for Coastermania. Praying it holds. Also if anyone knows what is this current SV locker procedure I am all ears. Last I went (this was 2019) it was no longer necessary and you could use that zipper bag on the ride. Was kind of a mess I felt but I did like not needing the pay for storage. What's the situation now?

At least as of like a week ago...there were deff no trims on either Grizzly or Racer lol We also know wood coasters, esp more aged ones, can be very temperamental. Like I said my previous visit in 2013 I found Grizzly running great, Racer was sluggish as heck. May 2021, least that weekend, Grizzly I found sadly sluggish but Racer was moving great. It's just the nature of these types of rides, they will be inconsistent but yeah I highly doubt either has been "trimmed" if they've slowed with time as you say it's prob just natural aging.

Oh good. Reminds me of my visit to KI, hopped on line for Beast and it closed down for the fireworks show, which sure I get it, but it stayed for a loooooong time. Well past the end of show. Not sure if common or not, but yeah..finally opened it back up and told us who were on line "this is it" so we got 1 ride and that was it. These things happen but still is a bummer! But yeah nice, that's a helluva marathon for Fury (cool face)

Agreed! Even if its just brief convos I almost always encounter good people/times any park I go to. Much as its fun to joke, there's always people there solo (ya know could be a local just popping in) so yeah I've honestly never found it awkward and always do find people to chat or sometimes even do a few rides with at any park. ha I've had a similar experience! Two people who were also at Holiday World I bumped into the day after I saw em at King's Island. They ALSO did Kentucky Kingdom in between like I did, was a fun time. EDIT: OOF looks like a good chance of rain tomm. Scheduling is set so I can't change it, hoping the coaster gods allow me at least a few rides in.

Multiple rides is always the goal! As many as I can ideally. And yeah I got expectations pretty grounded so I'm looking forward to it. Yeah man appreciated! Hope it's well and crowds are not too bad.

Eh experiences haven't been so bad so far tbh and I was surprised how not awful the crowds were and how not garbage the staff were at CW and KD. Considering that was a weekend and its Cedar Fair which is getting flak for shitting the bed, so won't be quite so bleak. And if it is well gotta roll w it. Thanks all for the upcoming updates! Really it's just so I can determine if FL+ is worth it or not. Last time I went around this time park was dead. But that was earlier (June 2?) it wasn't the pandemic and I think by the 7th school will be out so deff will look forward to the updates.

Indeed, and I found Thunderbolt a little underwhelming so I don't feel I need to do it again but if I can find another single rider I'll go for it. The enthusiasts curse how can we say no? lol

I was gunna say, if you wait about near Thunderbolt you are likely to find another single rider, and worst case I heard that a ride op would hop on with you, though idk if it would happen given the current situation. Bc yes I was a sad sack that went to Kennywood alone knowing Thunderbolt don't do single riders lol I only had to wait about a minute before I found someone. But ofc much better to go with someone! Esp since you never know who you'll get. That guy was kinda weird and not so cool....I ended up ditching him ha Will agree with Exterminator, the line is gnarly. I get it. The season pass really does help things, so much less stress/concern when things don't go well. Still though, hope it improves! Ah Waldameer....every year I go to CP I contemplate if I wanna try that park again. I had a brutally rough (and this is from someone who likes a rough ride) and sluggish/meh spin on RFII. Could've been a bad day, but it shook me up so bad (needed to grab advil and just sit for like an hour or two) I was always kinda scared to go out of my way to Erie and try again. Maybe next year (I already got KW planned for this one)

What excites me is we all figured second half is where it's at, but from both some reviews and now the POV it seems like the first half is no joke either, and as some have mentioned plenty of airtime. Looks like a true winner Universal got here.

Yeah ridiculous it still runs so hit and miss, I don't think I've even bothered my last couple visits and one time I don't recall it running most of the day. Rollback was fun, it was more the experience of omg it happened!! and since it was all enthusiasts it was wild, hoping for ya!
