  1. Now there's a good answer. And I'd say that's a pretty accurate guess. I know I always do and so does most of my family.
  2. How would they be able to even get that information? License plates? Im assuming debit/credit card transitions But that wouldnt count the large % that pay cash.
  3. How would they be able to even get that information? License plates?
  4. Passing up a marketing opportunity on their 60th anniversary would be idiotic and bad for business. There has to be something next year or there is no hope.
  5. I can't even deal with this statement. Cedar Point builds an amazing, breath taking coaster, with light theming. But the theming that is there is perfect for the ride... down to the sound effects. . . But no... even the sound effects are going to be something someone complains about. Seriously?? I am starting to think that "Coaster enthusiasts" are so Damn jaded they can't enjoy an amazing ride when they are on one with out TRYING to find things to bitch about. Top Thrill Dragsters sound effects are NOT "corny" they are amazing. Because they help make the amazing ride what it is let me guess.. you think the "Banshee scream" at the top or Banshee ' lift hill is corny too?? The tire screech when the train launches is awesome. It is part of what makes the ride what it is. Whoa man, chill. I just meant quality-wise. It could sound a lot more realistic. I love the theming and the fact that sound effects are utilized. They've just been using the same 90's-videogame-sounding effects for a decade.
  6. I always found the sound effects kind of corny, at least the engine idle sound and the tire screeching on take off. But that really deep rumble during the first couple seconds is pretty awesome. I think they could use better/more realistic sound effects though.
  7. I'm broke so I just get the slightly-discounted tickets from Meijer
  8. I only ride the back. Best way to experience that insane airtime.
  9. I'd be down. Although, too many rides on anything in that park can't be good for the central nervous system...
  10. Fixed. I have yet to visit a park with better operations than Cedar Point. Even on slow days, every coaster (minus Wicked Twister obviously) runs at least two trains. It's clear that the park prides itself in getting the line moving as fast as possible. As far as American regional corporate parks go I would agree that Cedar Point has the best operations out there. Sure parks like Knoebels still put them to shame, but they also have far less ridiculous safety devices / scans and checks to contend with. You're shitting, right? There's a difference between being efficient and bitchy. Last time I was on GateKeeper, one of the ride ops was running up and down the station, taking everyone's stuff, just tossing it into the bins, and practically shoving people into the seats. And if you didn't teleport to the seat and magically do your restraint instantly, you would get some dirty-ass look as she slammed the restraint down and shoved the seatbelt into the lock. Last time I went, I was told I couldn't even get in line because I had a bag. I'm not a fan of being forced to rent storage, but I've never been "shoved" in to my seat and had the restraint "slammed" on me.
  11. Great pics! I'll be heading back in a few weeks. Hopefully there will be news of something by then.
  12. This post really got passed over haha. Glad at least one person noticed
  13. Totally. Not to mention the ride is so smooth (for an arrow) it's almost relaxing, at least in the front half of the train.
  14. Millennium Diamondback Goliath Banshee El Toro & Shivering Timbers Maverick Skyrush, The Voyage, & Top Thrill
  15. Just wait. Someone will stumble across it and spread it all over social media as the real thing.
  16. If Cedar Point had RMC transform Mean Streak this way, it would allow for both a new coaster and land for future expansion. Two birds with one stone. I like that idea. Anything to open up land without removing a ride completely is good for Cedar Point.
  17. I tend to give Cedar Point history lessons to friends and family while in the park. They usually look at me like I have a problem.
  18. considering the only launch coasters I have been on are the 3 at Cedar Point, I'd definitely have to say Maverick overall. But Top Thrills launch itself is obviously way more intense and awesome due to being nearly twice as fast.
  19. Yeah, that was probably a little extreme. But seriously, this park would probably be in much better hands if it was independently owned again. Too bad the area doesn't really warrant financial sustainability for such a thing.
