  1. Wonderful, the forecast says rain for the whole week and I'm going back for the first time in 6 years on Thursday. Already bought tickets, fast lane, and booked a hotel too. Rain seems to follow me wherever I go
  2. And Maverick steals the heart of yet another fellow coaster enthusiast. Speaking of hearts and Maverick, I still wish they would have figured out a way to keep the heartline roll.
  3. so what kind of wind speeds actually shut down rides... like 20+ mph?
  4. HOW DARE YOU! But in all seriousness, it's no worse than Mean Streak and has more air time. 1/10 is a bit harsh... and 8/10 is a bit much for Mean Streak.
  5. Yeah that's a bit ridiculous. Is it because there's so much wildlife around the area? I don't see why fireworks would be an issue once a year.
  6. Yep, that's exactly what happened to me the first and only time I rode it. I'm a bit scared to ride it now for some reason even though I know it happens to a lot of people. G sensitivity is just incredibly discomforting. Intimidator 305 would probably kill me xD. Does anyone know if there's a way to combat G sensitivity? I've heard that staying hydrated and getting a good night's sleep really helps. I've heard holding your breath prevents you from greying out, but I've never tried this. Might be worth a shot. I know fighter pilots tense all their muscles and try to force bloodflow to the head, but that's for extreme G forces. Could work for a 5G coaster like MF, but idk if I'm willing to try lol.

  8. Don't know how I never knew that. I've been to the park at least 15 times in my life. But yeah I don't think live entertainment is a priority. A new big flat ride or coaster should be the priority.
  9. RMC RMC RMC!... yeah, I know, it's been said a squillion times before. But seriously.
  10. Last time I stayed in a cheap hotel, the toilet flooded in the middle of the night and the AC had a foul smell. But I suppose it's just luck of the draw. I suppose we could still consider it though.
  11. Because hotels are more expensive than FLP
  12. So my brother and I decided on going on the 19th. I was content in seeing you could get admission with Fast Lane Plus online for $112... until I saw that the deal doesn't include Fridays. Are there any other deals? I mean, I don't really mind shelling out $150 for admission & FLP, but I'd prefer not to. We can't really afford to spend two days there so we just figured one day with FLP would be the best option.
  13. I didn't realize that kind of information was publicly available...
  14. The webcams disappeared from the site Now I can't creep on the guests and watch my favorite coasters remotely from 250 miles away.
  15. The diversity argument is stupid anyway. It's the only floorless coaster in the park.
  16. Hope all of this speculation and hype is worth it
  17. A path pretty much already exists running behind Wolverine Wildcat and then going around Thunderhawk on the lake side, they'd just need to pave it and make it suitable for guest use. And I think a coaster would fit perfectly right in that area as well, maybe having the entrance somewhere in the same general area on the south side.
  18. Intamin flumes don't exactly have the best track record
  19. Wow that's actually pretty impressive. On a day like that I would have still expected over an hour wait. Only time I ever used fast lane was last summer at Michigan's Adventure. My buddies girlfriend decided to buy them for everyone for some reason and it wasn't an incredibly busy day. Only had to wait for the next train on everything. Obviously it would never be like that at Cedar Point, but 20 minutes is pretty dang good on a busy day.
  20. Wait times on a Friday/Saturday in mid to late June are going to be on the high end. A lot of people hitting the park for summer vacation. If I were you I would get a hotel, and Fast Lane Plus for both days. However, that adds up fast. If you wanted to make it a one day trip, and still get to do everything without having to wait... Consider doing a VIP tour. You could get everything done in one day, all of your food and drink is included, and you would not have to wait for anything. A VIP Tour is the only way to make Cedar Point a one day trip! Either way you go you're still going to have a great visit! Anything that expensive it out of the question. What difference does fast lane plus make on busy days?
  21. I'd personally hope for something bigger than a hyper gtx. Don't get me wrong, size isn't everything , and I love ejector airtime, but we've waited far too long to have a sub-100 foot drop.
  22. So me and my brother are thinking about taking our first trip to Cedar Point since 2009 some time in mid to late June. Fridays and Saturdays are likely the only viable day options. So my questions are, what are the wait times like on those days in mid to late June? Would it be worth it to buy fast lane on those days? And if we get a hotel, would it be more worth it to just do one day w/ fast lane, or two days with no fast lane?
