  1. Do you happen to know which version it was? There have been significant improvements to latency, frame rate, and the "screen door effect" since the early versions of it.
  2. How many of you guys have actually experienced VR? It is becoming incredibly immersive. Everyone complained about how Mantis getting new trains was also "a cheap way to pass off something as a new ride without actually getting a new ride", but if it improves the experience, who cares?
  3. Once VR is perfected, this will be an absolute breakthrough for coaster theming. Although, some might look at it as the lazy route. But the riders should have the option to ride with or without regardless.
  4. Intensity - Millennium Overall fun - Maverick
  5. There are most definitely significant improvements since the pre-Thunderhawk era. The park actually has quite a bit of aesthetic appeal now.
  6. Hey, it got the Alvey seal of approval. Everyone has to be on-board now.
  7. Uhh, I thought this was a Cedar Point thread
  8. A dive machine is the best option for overall diversity. Plain and simple. It will add to the already spectacular coaster skyline, and it has elements unique to anything else in the park. The only thing that I would rather see (not to sound like a broken record), is an RMC converted Mean Streak.
  9. Typically people that say bad things about their employers just aren't good at their job
  10. They're gonna have one hell of a B&M lineup when it's all said and done.
  11. They just uploaded this to their facebook page. Thought it was neat.
  12. I like that they thought the concept originally posted in this thread was real
  13. Haha, back when I went in June, we got off Rougarou as it started raining and everyone stood under the on-ride photo area. A big ol' spider started creeping its way down on to some bald guys head and all the girls started screaming. The guy batted at it and it ended up landing on some poor souls foot. More screaming happened and then I saved the day by stepping on it. Good times.
  14. Who needs RMC anyway... THIS is innovation.
  15. Hope there are still some in stock when I come back for Halloweekends
  16. Whoa that's pretty cool. Do they do something like this every year? I've never noticed.
  17. Yeah.... no. As somebody who has greyed out on the majority of my rides on MF, "Millennium Forceless" is one of the dumbest nicknames for a coaster that I have ever heard of. In no way is MF "forceless", at all. Wikipedia claims that it pulls 4.5 Gs, which I would guess is a low estimate. The Batman clones supposedly pull 4.9 and Boomerangs supposedly pull 5.2 (that sounds like BS to me, though), I never grey out on those. I would assume MF actually pulls up to 5 Gs at the very least. SLC's allegedly pull 4.5 as well. And on a good day, Thunderhawk at Michigan's Adventure can give me a bit of tunnel vision. But not near the extent that MF does. So yeah I'd have to say 4.5 is probably somewhat of a low estimate for MF. Anyone who says it is forceless has never ridden it, plain and simple.
  18. The mini-golf was in very poor condition when I went in May. But I believe it was only $3. Also, I'm fairly certain footwear is required at least on Adventure Falls and Grand Rapids. Someone correct me if I'm wrong though. I do remember being told I could't get on Adventure Falls without footwear last season. I haven't attempted to since. And I never eat in the park so I couldn't give the info on that. I'm too cheap But yes, I believe Coasters is the only indoor eatery.
  19. Maybe soon Cedar Fair will treat VF and MiA both to something special in the same year just to kinda say "we haven't forgotten you yet"
  20. Yeah mega-lites look freakin fantastic. But quite obviously far out of the question. And a few pages back someone said that a GT-X is out of the question too because of a burnt relationship with Chance. So basically there is nothing right for this poor old park.
  21. Y'all are just jealous we are home to Good Morning America's "Most Beautiful Place in America" and all Ohio has outside of theme parks and football is a murky lake and the stench of garbage
