^Not any worse than a summer weekday. Which means, if you get there before the 10:30 opening, you should be done with about everything by around 6 PM. I would guess for waits at WORST: 60-90 min. for X2 45-60 min. for Tatsu 45-60 min. for Green Lantern 30 min. for Goliath in the afternoon 60-90 min. for Riddlers (one train operation) Everything else 30 min. or less.. Or if it is a rainy day (I went on a rainy Monday during Spring Break 2010): X2: 10 min. or less Everything else: Not much Hope this helps!

Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said
LaMapa replied to maliboomer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
On Viper at SFMM today: "This used to be the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world! Now it's really slow" (At the top of the lift): "I think it still is the tallest.. nevermind.. X2 is the tallest" -
I rode X2 EIGHT TIMES in a row! That was awesome!! Tatsu was having some problems today though.. It kept breaking and they kept having to change which side of the station they used.. And I didn't see the GL SR line when I went on Feb. 26th.. But that's ok. There was only a 10 minute wait today. Also, Viper, Riddler's, Batman, and Scream were running one train today, but the stations were still empty

^ I think they classify the level of thrill by the height requirement. Because every coaster that is a "maximum thrill" has at least a 52" height requirement, other than X2 and Goliath. I think LLDOD and S:EFK should definitely be max. thrills. It still makes me laugh when I see that Goldrusher has the same height requirement as X2.

I like cheese. Especially the cheesy kind. I like singing, I like dancing, I like TRAINS! Die potato! NOT TODAY! I baked you a pie! What flavor? PIE-FLAVOR! Have you seen my sandwich? I AM YOUR SANDWITCH!

Hi, My name is Andrew. I live in Santa Clarita, CA, right next to SFMM. I've been on too many coasters and well a fact about me? I love hiking!

I bet it's just annual work. They usually just tighten bolts and other normal maintenance during this time of year. It will be open tomorrow unless the wind stops it. I want to go and am available, but I am trying to find someone to go with. Might go with some friends, but I can't wait for some X2, Tatsu, and Apocalypse ERT! Maybe they will fix the music on X2 for us by then. I know they've been working on it.

If they theme it, I don't care how they do it as long as they tried. Just be happy that it is themed at all! Take Scream! (STILL needs paint) as an example of a ride they didn't theme! Full Throttle sounds good to me and it WILL be more than LJ's area. It will go through to the other side of the mountain, why else woud they be getting rid of trees and monorail track?! This is Six Flags we are talking about here! They wouldn't be doing it if they didn't have to! I didn't see any cranes near the park today. It looks like I might be able to visit this Sunday, thanks to the hours being extended to 8PM! Thanks DST!

^I was there that day too. It took me about 35 minutes to get through. It was only through the first 2 switchbacks. Compare it to X2's switchbacks. X2 is way more popular. And GL's line doesn't move THAT slow until you get inside, and it is really short. I am guessing that by the end of this year it will be another ride that will be a walk-on almost anytime you go, like Batman, Scream, or Apocalypse.
-
I also went that day and waited 40 minutes. But that is because they were only running 3 of the 4 cars with people in them. And because of the horrible capacity. Even last Summer (other than opening day) the line never got to be any more than an hour! I went on a day last year where X2 was an in station wait only and GL still had a 15-20 minute wait! I would say that Batman is just as popular and that Goliath is far more popular than it. If you look at how many people are actually in line, it isn't more than a couple hundred. And about S:EFK, I would say that after watching trends, GL is more popular. Last year, I never waited more than 45 minutes for it and it was just running one side!
-
^^Not really. I haven't seen a full queue since a Saturday during October (Fright Fest) and it was barely to the entrance! It isn't very popular anymore. And yes, X2 is still the most popular ride at the park. But if next year's coaster is good, then it might take the crowds away from X2. Also, no fixed audio on X2.

Photo TR time! From yesterday, 2/26/2012: Log Jammer Updates Pump House Tarps over the dirt View toward the tunnel Grunt Lantern! Getting more and more painful by the minute! (And less flippy) Cool Batman Photo! Green Lantern line wasn't too bad today! Still running an empty car though.. Far shot of the new Lex Luthor graphics on the wall. Another attempt. Riddler's is still running one train.. YAY for single rider! But I can say that they have swapped the trains. The recently rehabbed train with new restraints (the ride is much smoother now) is running. Now to Samurai Summit clearing on the back side of the mountain. With Superman closed, the walkway in Samurai Summit was dead at 4PM. The other side of the tunnel. Hill clearing on Samurai Summit. Saw this near the restrooms near Laughing Dragon.. interesting.. Side of this building Not a bad wait for Tatsu. Still very slow operations.. Not a bad wait for X2 either. They had okay operations.. So, Riddler's and Viper have one train, and Tatsu and X2 are starting to almost always stack. Riddler's was fast loading, and Goliath usually took a bit longer than one minute to dispatch. Green Lantern was quick! But overall, not a bad day. No visible progress on the Superman tower. Thanks for reading!
