Regarding hand stamps/re-entering the park to go to your car, anonymouscactus is correct. Often the last 2 hours of the day they won't let you re-enter but there will be a sign up before you exit saying if you cannot re-enter. -
Duhhhh I just realized that I went to the park on Friday, not Saturday which is when you went Between being crazy busy recently and now the holiday throwing things off, my days are all mixed up. We had someone on our Wild One train push their lapbar down and they got a little snooty about it. The ops on Superman were stapling every single person into the train and we really got slammed one time and then I started pushing up with my knees when they came to "check" my restraint. I'm not a pansy when it comes to tight restraints and Skyrush's don't bother me at all but I know other people have issues. Even on El Toro and Skyrush the restraints don't get that tight! Did you have a similar experience?
-
You must have been there before I arrived because they were only running one train on Joker, Superman (excruciatingly painful operations), Roar and Batwing for the several hours I was there. Wild One had two trains going but the ops were slow to say the least. What's up with them now pushing the bars down for you on Wild One?

I went to the park today from 1:45pm - 4:45pm and the place was absolutely deserted. All park employees seemed in excellent moods, were all extremely nice (yet slow on most rides per usual, especially Superman) and the other park patrons were well behaved today which was great. Every single ride was a walk-on and in 3 hours we wore ourselves out. The band and dancers that played in the mardi gras area by the flyers were great and attracted quite a crowd in no time. I hate to say it but I thought that Roar was running better than Wild One - and I love Wild One and usually hate Roar, so who knows. Wonder Woman looks great and it'll be nice to have that main path open to get back to Superman and Batwing. Currently they have walls up with minimal signage saying to go around and through Whistlepunk kidsville. For anyone curious as to what you can bring with you into the park food wise: bottled water, fruit, and vegetables. Unfortunately for me, fruit snacks are still a no-go. The park has come a long way in the last 10 years and especially in the last 5 years with cleaning up the place and making it a better experience. Even the shopping centers and housing areas around the park are getting built up and improved. Regarding the clientele mentioned in previous posts - I spend an enormous amount of time at Great Adventure and find the patrons at both parks to be similar yet there are minimal complaints in the SFGAdv thread about it. Every time SFA is mentioned the seedy area is first to be brought up which I hope goes the way of the dodo. Was it a bad place to be many years ago? YES. Should you start a fight with a bunch of teen thugs who skip the line, in either park? No. With the new development in the area I think in another 5-10 years it'll be a different place which hopefully will attract more visitors and therefore my fingers remain crossed for a RMC Roar... or even just some bathrooms near Superman.

If you get FL+ you'll be good to go even though it'll be busy. I've been there when it's absolutely slammed and FL+ was a lifesaver. We got on an unbelievable number of rides even with super long standby lines thanks to it. -

Bill - I'm expecting (demanding) a TR of your road trip to all the parks this weekend, especially with KK and HW being brand new to you. It's mandatory, in fact. And yes I am well aware that we'll probably end up waiting close to a year for the actual TR to be completed! No but seriously, TR required. -

If that is the case, then you may want to hit up Laff Track later in the evening as families are leaving the park. If you ride it mid-day, then you are probably looking at an hour wait. Hersheypark has a good app that lists ride wait times, so I would use that as a resource while you're there. When I was there the end of last summer on a Saturday it was over 2 hours the entire day. We ended up getting in line for it as our last ride of the night and waited about 30 minutes. Once you get inside the indoor part of the queue with the funhouse mirrors it's 15-20 mins. The park is huge with such a stellar collection of rides - don't waste part of your day waiting for LT!! It's a fun but short ride. Definitely hit it up at night. -

^WHAAAAAAT?! My head just exploded. That angle shows the latest progress really well. I'll be there in 15 days to see it for myself. This deserves reposting as well because it's really the most accurate for the whole NMS project: *Special thanks to Boldikus who explained how to post someone's picture in a quoted reply. -

As someone who also stresses out about FP+ being sold out and other things like that, let me assure you that there is no reason whatsoever to buy FP or FP+ before you get there. We go over 4th of July every year for several days when it's absolutely packed and simply buy our wrist bands in the morning when we get in the park. Only twice have they sold out - but not until approx 1:00 PM, so you are for sure safe. CP has such crazy weather and your trip sounds like the bus ride from hell so don't spend the money until you 1) get there and 2) you know the park is open. Guarantee you'll be fine waiting until the day-of. -
This TR leaves me more and more speechless with how much fun you guys are having! The water park is seriously like my dream. Since I was little I've thought that there ought to be a park that's basically one big lazy river with different tube slides and you don't ever have to get your butt out of the water for hours on end. So cool to see something like that exist!! The pictures and videos really let me feel like I was able to experience it a little bit. Thanks for taking the time to write this up, I'm sure there's a massive amount of time invested in your TRs.

Can you just buy FL+? The park isn't that big and the operations are stellar. I really can't express this enough. I didn't believe it myself until my first visit. We went on an unbelievably busy day the middle of July last summer and then again during Halloween, when lines were easily 1-2 hours each. With FL+ we waited no more than 5 minutes for any ride the entire day. Actually I take that back, we waited 20 minutes several times for Woodstock Gliders which sadly doesn't have a FL entrance. It was 109 deg the one day and FL+ allowed us to take our time and do plenty of resting Harmony Hall which has seriously great food, AC that's cranked up all the way and a really good band that plays every 30 mins or so. The entire park had frequent announcements due to the heat in July reminding everyone to seek AC and stay hydrated, oh and to please stop by the water carts stationed all around the park for complimentary ice water. Never in my life have I had that kind of treatment at an amusement park! It was great. -
Your video is fantastic!!! I really enjoyed it and had no idea about any of those effects. The Na'vi head turning illusion had me very confused until you showed the dinosaur shadow standup, and then my head promptly exploded. Really, really cool. I hope you are able to make more behind the scenes videos like this - whether about theme parks or other places!

How do you quote someone and have their photo show up in the reply quote? When I click "quote" it just gives me their text, not the photo. Thanks in advance as I'm a complete computer retard over here. Reason being I wanted to compliment Vigil a few pages back on the neato shot of Ka with the dark clouds and sun!

Fantastic NMS speculation animation! Loving all the other pictures being posted from around the park, including those futuristic trash cans. -

Hey that's great to hear, Bert! With a little bit more time I bet your body will continue to heal itself and you'll be 100% again. It's only been a month, after all! Thanks for the update. -

I'm loving those trains and the bright green track! Looks awesome. -
Great park details Boldikus, you ought to make that into a brochure. Or bookmark the page and link it every freaking time someone asks about the park. Help With Meal Passes - if anyone here gets an email about the Lunch + Snack meal deal anytime in the future, can you please send me the link for it ASAP? We are trying to get them this year again but SF is retarded and only sends them out randomly, refusing to sell them even if you call the offices while the sale is going on. We did not receive the email this year and they said the lunch deal should be on sale again sometime this spring/summer. Hoping someone on here reads this and can make it happen. Usually it's sent out in an email on a Friday and expires Sunday night. Thank you!!

Fantastic to hear it is unlimited on LR and DL! And only $10 more than the regular time saver... that's a no brainer and so much cheaper than Fast Lane or Flash Passes that I almost can't even believe it's true. We'll definitely be doing this then when we visit later in the year. Hopefully they figure out the marking system for the lanyard or even get rid of it all together. Thanks for the info! -

Do you know if the unlimited Timesaver allowed unlimited rides on LR? Or are you still restricted to 1 ride on it while everything else you can reride multiple times? -
I've heard of Lito's videos but have never gotten around to watching them. As an avid skier who is always looking to improve, I'm definitely going to get one of his books (there are several different ones on Amazon, now which one should I start with? Hmmm) and will make the time to check out the youtube videos. Thanks!!
