  1. Yesterday, there was a small incident where Snake River Falls was parked on the lift for thirty minutes. They were all given exit passes, not one-time-use fast lane passes.
  2. CoasterDynamix Millennium Force Nanocoasters are available in park at Pagoda gift shop for $30. They looked in fairly limited supply although who knows how many are back in the stockroom. I went into many other shops and did not see them available anywhere else. Look forward to assembling this when I get home! Like I posted earlier, if you can't make it to the park anytime soon, you can easily order them over the phone with Cedar Point.
  3. At the park right now and lines are insane. 2+ hours for Maverick, Dragster, Millennium, Raptor, and Gatekeeper. FL+ waits are an hour which is ridiculous. I overheard two conversations about a dive coaster coming and they sounded excited for it. So, while some enthusiasts are not excited, sounds like the GP will be.
  4. Holiday World is now introducing a brand-new Platinum Season Pass for 2016. Highlights include Bring a Friend Free Days (once per month), Exclusive Bonus Hours (once a month), and 20% discount on merchandise/food. More info: http://www.holidayworld.com/park-tickets/season-passes/ It seems to include the perks I expected it to. Exclusive "Bonus" Hours sound really great to me!
  5. ^ Yup, you'll be picking bugs off of your face and your shirt between the hours of 5pm-close. It's almost impossible to have your eyes open
  6. I will be at the park on Saturday or Sunday but I'm unsure if I'll be able to ship them. Does anybody know which gift shop they'll sell them in? Also, the CoasterDynamix Facebook page said that if you call the park you should be able to order one over the phone.
  7. I love the skyline of Nickelodeon Universe. Especially from the parking lot... Haven't been to MOA since 2008, but it sounds like a lot has changed! Hope to come back some day.
  8. Thank you for sharing your pictures and your report. Glad you had a great time! I always love reading first time visitor trip reports here.
  9. Not to get off topic, but the park was apparently packed today. Supposedly, Millennium Force had a posted 1.5 hour wait with a 45 minute Fast Lane line. I know that the FL line merges with the regular queue at the ramp which is about 15 minutes or so to the station. If this claim is true, they need to either start selling less or move replace Rougarou with Millennium in the FL+ tier.
  10. ^ It's quite the experience! The suspense is killer although I wish they didn't have a countdown. That way, the drop would be a surprise... If Holiday World would finally bite the bullet on body slides, I sure as hell hope it's a drop capsule. Deep Water Dive is one of the most intense water slides I've ever been on.
  11. That is the sound of God and some Intamin goodness. That sound used to be my text tone on my phone. Not even kidding. I love hearing the whir that it makes when I walk by TTD.
  12. ^ Ha thanks! It's a skill that I still need to perfect apparently
  13. How about crowds next Sunday? We are only doing one day and are able to afford FL+ but only if necessary.
  14. Just wanted to do a (sorta) quick TR from yesterday's visit. Yesterday was a good visit to the park. It was my first time back since last year and some improvements were made and some issues were still not fixed. Some notes: -It's clear that the park is still in the rebuilding phase as some things look unfinished and there are still many abandoned/closed buildings and stalls. Fearfall's queue stuck out to me since it has a large circular concrete pad to set up handrails in for switchbacks, but they only use a small part of it. I'd say in about 3 years the park will fully be on its feet. -Last year, there was hardly any security. Line jumpers and obnoxious people were everywhere. This year, security was nearly everywhere and the patrons were well behaved! Kudos to them for fixing that issue. -T3 was closed all day and may be closed today as well. Lots of maintenance guys walking up to check the lift motor so maybe that's the issue? Either way, I'm not really disappointed on missing out. -Cylcos was too much hang time for me. I very rarely get sick on any flat ride, but this one didn't sit right with me after getting off. Not planning to repeat it any time soon. Skycatcher was okay, although it is in an extremely awkward spot. You have to walk through the water park itself to find the entrance. -Lightning Run and Fearfall still kick ass. Thunder Run is running well. -Operations are still very slow. The ride ops were clearly more interested in their personal conversations than actually starting to check seatbelts/lapbars. -Funny story about the Flying Scooters. Apparently, you CAN snap the cables on it. The recent Larsons have a reputation for not being able to snap, but I definitely did it. When the "eagle" slacked it turned completely 180 degrees to fly backward for about 5 seconds before the ride finished its cycle. Then, when slowing down, my eagle slammed into the other one behind me pretty harshly. No visible damage was done to the outside of the car, but it certainly sounded like it. The ride ops were left confused saying they had never seen it before and wanted to try themselves -While you can't see much of Storm Chaser's construction, I saw lots of cranes moving. Can't wait for it to be open! Here's a few pictures I took from the Ferris Wheel:
  15. Funny that you mention that, the park still has its train right next to the pirate ship.
  16. Having a great time a Kentucky Kingdom right now, lines are pretty minimal even though the operations are slow. Lots of construction work at Storm Chaser/TT going on and T3 has been down all day.
  17. Fixed. I have yet to visit a park with better operations than Cedar Point. Even on slow days, every coaster (minus Wicked Twister obviously) runs at least two trains. It's clear that the park prides itself in getting the line moving as fast as possible.
  18. 1) Not too bad, manageable crowds. 2) Honestly, I can't pick a favorite. The Alamo and Pilgrim's Rock are both very good choices for Holiday World and Wildebeestro is great in Splashin Safari. All of the rides list in the post above me are good as well.
  19. Not to take this topic too far off track, but have Sunday's this summer been just as busy as Saturday's? I'm heading up to the Point for one day and want to make sure that when I purchase FL+, the lines are long enough to justify buying it! @TB305, I like the layout you had in that "rendering." What are the stats in your version?
  20. Since it is I-box, it'll technically be RMC's first entirely steel coaster. Edit again: wait the website is saying that it'll have a layer of wood?
  21. So glad an RMC is only two hours away from me now! Looks fantastic. Also, holy cow that frame rate is awful. Can someone recreate this in NL2 with a better computer please?
  22. Track for Gatekeeper did not arrive till late October 2012. I don't know when supports arrived for it, but it was certainly not 3 months before that and before the announcement.
  23. ^ Now it's rain jackets from the non-stop monsoon we've been having.
  24. ^ [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]Can't believe it's already been almost a year. Time flies!
  25. When I was there this past Monday, one train's audio was working and the other one's wasn't.
