Canada's Wonderland Discussion Thread

Maybe they will use this design to make a similar coaster in Knott's because it seems like the coaster doesn't take up much room. (If this was mentioned, sorry I just can't go through 25 pages.) Also, the price is not extremely high since both Millennium Force & Intimidator 305 costed $25 million and this only costs $28 million. I think the extra cost is because it has 6 large hills while Millennium Force and I305 both have 4. 2 things that concern me is the amount of time to reach the top and the short duration from the top of lift to brakes (though I305 is also short like this). -

It's weird that I've been to CGA over 15 times this year and nobody mentioned the Invertigo removal. -

It's funny that before I knew a lot about coasters, I called it a barrel roll. Guess I was always smarter than the GP. -

I wish that would be the new ride for 2012. It's also interesting how large of an area that Action Theater takes up, it can be removed and a large ride can replace it. I think if this happened, it would make CGA shine: -Ride for 2012: Intamin or B&M Hyper Coaster -Station near IMAX Theater & Star Tower -Lift in Whizzer location -Drop goes over pathway into Invertigo location -Turn in Invertigo site -Airtime hills in Tidal Wave location -Hammerhead turn next to Vortex -Airtime hills in Tidal Wave location -Helix on Invertigo site -Airtime hills on Whizzer location -Brakes Of course it will never happen but we can always dream. -

The reason for taking Stealth out was it became a maintenance nightmare and was causing the park to use more money then they should have due to it being a prototype ride. So they took it out to expand the park and make Boomerang Bay which is even more popular. Its is something the whole family can enjoy. The reason the took Invertigo out because of bad press and that maybe Cedar Fair does have some plans for the park to put in a new attraction that could benefit the park more than Invertigo did. *Sorry for the double post* That's absolutely true. Though it's weird that Paramount made that move because it would still be a maitenance nightmare in Carowinds. -

I got this from comments on the TPR video of Top Gun/Flight Deck @ CGA on Youtube. www.youtube.com/all_comments?v=H98Sk8FAtPo ---The Raptor at cedar point is 342,692 times better. ---this is practicly the same as the "Nemesis" in thee uk... not exact but nearly... o-o ---this is the exact same ride as batman:dark night at magic mountain in california. ---i rode this like 4 or 5 times today, and is there a difference between the one with the eagle on top and the one with the shark on top because i never get the eagle i always get the shark so i dont know if there is a difference ---does it make your stomach drop real bad is the line huge will it be worth getting on people its URGENT!!!!!!!!!!!PLEASE PEOPLE CAN ANYONE ANSWER MY QUESTIONS!!!!!!!im planning on getting on but will it hurt! ---this ride is like exactly like The Thunderhawk ---this ride was originaly supposed to feel like being in a fighter jet, pulling up to 4 g's but they had issues . still realy fun Flight Deck must be a magnet for GP confusion. -
This made me laugh so hard, as I have never seen collapsing buildings at Knotts! I do have to agree with you on the Boomerang paint job though. The purple should be changed to a bright blue with the green supports. I actually like Boomerang's colors, though that's just my opinion. rcdb.com/290.htm?p=5103 I wished Pony Express was better. When I went to Knott's in 2009, I didn't even wasted my time going on it because of the reviews. I never seen collapsing buildings and actually Knott's is working on repainting a lot of buildings and rides (Fiesta Village buildings, Xcelerator, Perilous Plunge) About the cramped room, can't they expand across the street where there's mostly just parks and small, ugly houses?

Which park did you have to pay the highest amount for parking and what was the amount? If this thread exists, my apologies

That kind of happened to me. I was walking toward the Game Time "Sports Bar" and a block of ice went flying over my head. I looked around thinking were it could've come from, then I realized it was from Delta Flyer. -

I can see the sarcasm. The only problem is that its not a roller coaster. I thought it was funny because it was a slow flat ride. -

That just reminded me of this: It's at Flight Deck/Top Gun at CGA. GP1: This coaster goes over water. GP2: How is that possible. Me: Chuckling 100th POST! -

I remember when only 3 cabins were working...was a major bummer because the lines were too long (by my standards) plus the lower capacity. So parents were okaying their kids to drop coins from the tower? I would have called the parents out on that one as well as notifying the ride operators. Do the parents (who are supposed to be role models for the kids, telling them right from wrong) not realize how dangerous a 60mph falling piece of metal is going to be? Maybe they should be the ones struck by that falling coin so they can realize the stupid move they enticed their kids to do. This should be on The Weirdest Things the 'GP' Have Said thread -

They could have thrown them after the movie was over... It was before the ride in the queue after they give you the 3D glasses. -

A few years ago I heard a lady say that they're taking down Flight Deck because it's sinking into the lake. Must've delayed the removal. -

It's funny that at Action Theater @ CGA, a 3D Theater. I was at the top level and looked down at a couple pairs of 3D glasses. Who would be stupid enough to throw their 3D glasses? I mean they would have to see the ride in 2D. -

I'm not that interested to go on Revolution but my younger sister wants to ride it because it only has 1 inversion, so if she likes the Revolution, she can go on other looping coasters. -

Thanks. I didn't know you can hit almost all of the 18 roller coasters in one day. It's funny how all the waits are short until X2.
