I just had a huge fight with my mom over going to Pittsburgh in a couple weeks.

Me scared? There were no ferris wheels involved. And the ride hurt? No. It just wasn't anything special, as I rode in a middle seat. In the front, the view is spectacular. It's so weird to see the track twisting away from you and nothing else underneath.

Day 9: Thorpe Park The park was pretty crowded that day. Luckily, we had fast passes for all the major rides, and I was able to ride everything I wanted to. I was not impressed by the two S&S rides, Rush and Slammer. They looked a lot more impressive than they were. Other than that, I enjoyed my day and our ERT was awesome. And bye bye, Tommy and James! Then it was time to drop off the losers and head to the Stansted hotel. Bye bye, Catrina and Ted! Yeah, here's the aftermath. Oh my gosh, the front seat rocks. So we're waiting in line when all the sudden a huge POOF of bird feathers floats out from behind the house thingy... oh god they killed a bird! The second time, we rode in the front, and I LOVED IT!!!! We had ERT on Stealth. I didn't like it the first time I rode it. Samurai was fun. I wish it had lasted longer though. That seems to be a running theme with me and flat rides. Hehe. Uh oh, Derek, what are you going to do with that hose??? I thought this was a cool shot. We had some booze in the middle of the day, thanks to Tom. Yay Windex! YES This trip has trained me to become a better photographer. Oh yes. Say it with me - "Signature shot!" I loved the squiggly random pre-lift goodness (this isn't it) Nemesis Inferno. I'm sorry guys, but I LOVED this ride. Maybe cause it's only the third B&M invert I've ever been on... Tom got some energy from Ryan's delicious Irn Bru of wonderful goodness This is my favorite part of the ride. It's really intense But it was awesome! I was a little nervous for Colossus; it looks painful X:\No Way Out was closed when we got there. It opened later and we rode it twice I think this sign says "Welcome to Thorpe Park" Tom was pretty tired that morning. Oh God. What the hell is this?

I was laughing, cause the entire ride, Tommy and I were screaming obnoxiously! It was like, NOT normal screaming. I don't think I'd be able to re-create it!

Night 8: Bonus PTR So I was innocently minding my own business in my hotel room when I recieved a phone call. "Who could possibly be calling ME?" I thought to myself as I answered. Well, it was James, inviting Derek and I to a party celebrating the last night of the big losers who weren't doing the add-on. Enjoy! Awww, I miss you, Mommy! TED?!?! What are you doing???!!! (It's sugar in the spoon BTW) Barron is cool. Who are the losers and who are the cool people???

Day 8: Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach Yeah, I dunno what to say. This is kind of parallelling my experience on the trip. By this point I was kind of tired and ready for Balder, and now I'm pretty tired of making captions and ready to post pictures of Balder. Here are some pictures from Yarmouth. "Durrrrrrr" Yet another bizarre snail ride! It's fun, we rode it twice Time for credit #100: Roller Coaster! Pleasure, pleasure, pleasure. Those Brits sure are into pleasure.

Day 8: Joyland Next, we went up to the Yarmouth area to hit up Joyland and Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach. Joyland is a strange kiddie park. It's really tiny, with rides stacked all over each other. Bye bye, Joyland. Time to split a carriage ride with Derek, Ted, and Catrina. Would have been a romantic double date except Barry was also there with us. Here's another dubious credit: Tyrolean Tubtwist. It's a Virginia Reel. I count it. I have no logical reason why; I just do. Call it instinct. "Whee! I'm not a credit! If you count me you're a tool!" If this is a credit, so are all the other powered dark rides around the world, including Gold Rush, Ghost Train, and the Alice ride at Blackpool Here's a bizzare ride: Snails. It's listed in RCDB, but I do not count it as a credit. A closeup of Spook Express Here you can see Spook Express, the kiddy coaster, with some other rides underneath it.

^It's barely behind a fence. There's fence on one side of it, quite easy to walk around. People were just hanging out around the Vekoma track. No need to stealthily sneak around the fence or exert any effort whatsoever to get to it.

Day 8: Pleasurewood Hills Pleasurewood Hills is a strange little park with a Schwarzkopf Jumbo V, Enigma. It also has the dumbest "3d" dark ride in a boat ever. They don't try to keep you away from the track of their new Boomerang! This was my first Helter Skelter experience. Oh well. Either way, it generates plenty of sensations and emotions in all of us Or "The Rattlesnake"??? I'm so confused Is it called "Snake in the Grass"? Next is the coaster that's having an identity crisis It looked pretty cool, but was pretty slow and boring IMO First stop of the day: Enigma Welcome to another pleasure-themed British park, Pleasurewood Hills

Day 7: Flamingoland The second half of the day would bring us to Flamingoland, home of two pretty cool Vekoma coasters, Velocity and Kumali. Everyone was raving about how smooth and good Kumali was; I didn't think it was THAT great, but it was definitely better than a normal SLC. Oh yeah, we also found the flaming o's. They sure were stinky! Yum! And some cool rope thing to climb on. Let's zoom in on this picture: Before ERT, we went on a mission to find the flamingos. We found a surprise dark ride! Looks like James has stolen my man! So then I stole his. Time for another pain-free Vekoma: Velocity! Our ERT on this was awesome, but after like 5 rides I had to take a break! Derek took pics of the Disk-O for me while I struggled to put away my sweet Velocity pin and Flamingoland eraser SIDELOOP! Oh, wait, it's Kumali. It doesn't hurt. Continuing the tradition of pain, time to ride an SLC! I see you, Chris Belson! Here's the worst flatride ever: Evolution. You spend the entire ride shifing uncomfortably on the restraint. Although not made by Vekoma, this wild mouse also delivers much pain Also known as the Land of the Vekoma. Here we have a fine example of pain Welcome to Flaming O Land

Day 8: Lightwater Valley Lightwater was an... interesting... park. I really liked The Ultimate, so shoot me! I didn't think it was too rough, and the second part was really fun. Rat Ride, an indoor Schwarzkopf Wilcat, was really disappointing to me. We used to have a Schwarzkopf Wildcat at Martin's Fantasy Island, and it was really fast and fun. Rat Ride was slow as hell and boring. Maybe I spoke too soon. I did not ride. Derek did, though. He did not suffer any lasting effects. It's time for the Toad Hole. The water ride into disease. Oh look! ANOTHER kiddy coaster! lol. Somebody's a bit too excited to be riding the kiddy coaster! Ok, a million and a half times I must have said "AWWW!!" a million times! I wanted to take one home with me!! See???? Grizzly Bear is some sort of Pinfari with the CUTEST THEMING EVER!!! The remote controlled ducks were fun. Tommy and Derek look like they're thinking "WHY are we riding this AGAIN!??!" Slowest lift hill ever! Longest trains ever! Blackpool has two log flumes. The Beaver Creek Log Flume was open. The regular old Log Flume was not.

The big long log flume by Big One? That was closed, I think! It looked pretty dry when we were riding Big One!

^Irn Bru is good. I really liked Megafobia. We only rode it twice, so I didn't have enough rides to really "take it in". Having said that, I'm having a hard time ranking it. I'd probably tie it with Thundercoaster at Tusenfryd (which I also only rode twice! ) for #2 woodie. It's really hard for me to rank coasters cause I'll like whatever I've ridden most recently... lol

^I like it. It smells like bubble gum and I have no idea how to describe its taste.
