Insane Coaster Wars Season Two!

Grrr ... we're not getting the Travel Channel here for some reason. Can you get season one on DVD yet? -
Nice! Do you coaster addicts normally head to the park alone? Feels strange, but oh so fun!! LOL Funny you asked cause usually I don't head to the park alone however, I have no problem going to an amusement park alone. I work in office that is less than a mile away from SFoT and well my apt when you look out my bedroom window you see Titan, Shockwave, and Superman which is too much temptation for a enthusiast. It was never premeditated for me to live and work so close to the park but It just happen to be where I ended up. Living so close to the park in a tourist spot feels like the park really is your backyard, so its super convienant when you have a season pass to just walk or drive to the park. So going along isn't an issue. But on busy days its not cool, especially waiting in line. So the best way to answer that is yes on weekdays and slow days. No on Saturdays on busy days. In fact thinking right now since Im off so I want to go hop on a ride. I totally hear you. Live life and have fun! I've done it a few times last season since I had a pass and close myself . My buds says their bodies can't take the G's these days , headache city afterwards. The day's I went same experience minus TSS. Here's hoping to a great space filler in the old Flashback and center space. Smiiiler Smiiiler Smiiiiler !!!!

What is the Most Intense Coaster you have been on?
TXThrillster replied to PalmTree55's topic in Ask Alvey
As of now, I would still have to give it to SFOT's Titan. From beginning to the end. MAD FUN -
I was driving home from work and saw a hint of a light show on the TX Skyscreamer. The chairs were flashing was all for now. Cool though. On the way to work traffic almost made me late for looking at the ride in action this morning ... looked VERY fun but scary! Just like everyone else, that is truly one ride that makes me nervous. Being swung around THAT HIGH on chains?

Great Pics ... I have yet to set foot in Florida. Busch Gardens is combined with two of my loves ... animals and roller coasters. I need to come check it out !! A guaranteed good time! -
Great idea ! I do miss the cave, and all the people in that house on the mine train before that drop ... lol. I remember the spindle top, i was terrified to ride it as a child ... but it looked fun. I miss the Spinnaker as well ... SFOT is still cool, but it has lost alot of its charm over the years.

Greetings TPR, My mother decided to call me Marcus one beautiful spring morning back in '75. She decided to raise me in the great city of Fort Worth, TX. If you didn't know that's the city 30 minutes west of Dallas (hence D/FW) with the quaint skyline and county seat of Tarrant County (the county where the Beautiful Cowboy Stadium now sits waiting on my Dallas Cowboys to do something). Yeah there! Down the street from that beautiful stadium mentioned in those parenthesis stands my home park SIX FLAGS OVER TEXAS! Yes this is where my love of roller coasters began, once my friends peeled me off the pole I was wrapped around and holding on for dear life! Those double loops on the Shock Wave frightened me! After the back to back ride, I was hooked! Oooon to the Flashback I yelled! Six Flags was also my first job! I've visited Six Flags Fiesta Texas several times, shout out to Superman there! Six Flag's Astroworld (RIP) in Houston was a park I visited several times. Out of state, I've had the pleasure to visit Six Flags Over Georgia (just for the Batman, there's a story behind that) And Easter day of '08 I FINALLY made it to LA and visited Six Flags Magic Mountain ... where was everyone? We walked on every ride !! Thanks !!

WOW !!!! Those are excellent pics! At first when Six Flags announced they were remodeling the Giant, my first impression was that's all we get for a 50th anniversary? And we're the first Six Flags? Seeing all the additions, and a much smoother ride seems to be a worthwhile investment indeed ! I was working at SFOT when the Texas Giant first opened. There were lines for days! Looks like that's about to happen again. Season Pass here I come !
